Thank you all who have the generosity of heart to read this. I apologize for the length of this post, but I have never shared this before and it is all sort of gushing out. Since I am seeming to experience abduction again right now after 40 years, I need to connect with people who understand. In my case it was my father who had abduction experiences before I was even born (I didn't know this until adulthood, when he told me about his "dreams" -- which explained his persisting paranoia about "security"). He and I both had a love/hate relationship with it all. I remember (and my parents still talk about this like it happens to everyone) he and I seeing three glowing green balls out the window at dinner when I was about 6 and he and I immediately raced out the door to chase them around the field next to our house. Back to the beginning of my abductions, though. Starting when I was a toddler I was abducted. I remember during that time that I had one "operation" type experience -- which actually left a scar on my mouth and my parents can't account for it. When I was about five I was laying in bed one night, trying to go to sleep and I *blinked* and it was morning. I mean literally blinked -- no change in thought processes, no bodily movement -- like if you just blinked normally during the day and it was suddenly 10 hours later. Then a number of experiences occurred in a cluster around 7 -- following a pattern. I would wake up with "that feeling" and know I would have to go to our basement. Once I remember looking back and seeing myself still laying in bed (which doesn't make sense, I know). Once there in the basement, the classic, tall, greenish men with big bald heads and black almond eyes, slit nostrils and mouth would be there. They smelled like burnt hotdogs and I would feel paralyzed. The men moved with scary, jerky movements. They would speak to me with their minds, telling me about how my life would unfold and the future of humanity. Somehow I knew I was "related" to these men, and when I was really little I used to call those green beans cut at a slant "daddy's boots" -- standing them up on my plate to represent the boots of the aliens' uniforms. One day, during broad daylight one of the men was standing in the kitchen. I went to wake up my mom and tell her, "There's a man in the kitchen." She freaked out, of course, and when she gingerly peered around the corner there was no one there. After this cluster of abduction-type experiences at 7 or so, my health began to fail around age 8-9. I simply became "oversensitive" to everything. I had allergies, asthma, stomach problems, and sensory sensitivities -- the latter paired with my frantic need for sameness, social anxiety, and OCD-type behavior (PTSD?) led to an autism/Asperger's diagnosis. I have tried to use the ways I am connected to everything and so sensitive for good -- even writing a best-selling book about my experiences with nature, the value of the planet, etc (but didn't write about the aliens, of course). I have always felt "out of place" and the one time as an adult I saw a UFO (on a very isolated stretch of road in Montana, glowing like a huge, orange ball but shedding no light, totally silent) I chased it and cried out, "Don't leave me here! Wait!!!" But it floated up and away. For many years I had an obsessive need to "come home" to where I was raised in Southern Illinois from the West Coast. I bought a farm in the country about 2 miles from where all the abductions happened -- I just HAD to be here (even though I know they can find you anywhere). Now, I feel the abductions are happening again -- but whereas I remembered the early ones clearly, I can't remember what has been happening. Last August I suddenly had a round, rash type burn on my leg and something felt like it had been put in the end of my nose. I got very sick with what seemed to be radiation sickness -- and I was so fatigued I couldn't move off the couch. Several doctors later, no explanation. I have developed terrible insomnia and panic attacks at night. I wake up feeling like I was hit by a truck. :'(I "feel" like they are here. I am feeing depressed. I desperately need some validation and support. Thanks to all of you who might reply, or have simply posted your own experiences -- it all helps.

Dawn, welcome to our forum honey. You are among friends here. ~hugz~ You know when i left home and then came back I literally started having "the nightmare" again the very next day... the very same nightmare I have been having since I was 17 but it always changes slightly. The whole time I was away I didn't have the nightmare but as soon as I was back in this house it happened again... Skywalker once woke up with an odd rash too.... I think JC did as well although I don't recall ever waking up with an odd rash... The "men" you saw were green? That's interesting. Maybe they are the insectoid types others have reported seeing? Do you think you could show us drawings of what they look like?

welcome to the TEOR..dawn.. I live in Illinois also. Just read your post and was picking out many things you wrote which I have experienced also. Such as .. quote .. You mention boots. I have waited a long time to hear someone say they wore boots. Did they have on boots that reminded you of led boots like our astronauts wear? I still smell burnt cardboard for no reason today. You can read about my experiences under topics . " Close encounters on the edge. I also had mind contact . Sometimes I called it mind control My hearing was altered when this happen. I knew what ever it was was back. This here mind control started when I was around 12. I have mentioned many times the walked and moved their bodies with jerky movement. That really was scary. It always makes me almost remember all my missing times when I think of the jerking. So I put it out of my head quick.. All of us here have had many experiences that resemble each other. You are with good company here and understanding people ... Thanks for posting. your experience. There may be more about your experiences I can relate too.

Hi Dawn and welcome to the forum. As you can see, I'm a new member and I live in Illinois as well. I feel fortunate to have found this forum because I was pretty desperate myself. The fact that I can talk about anything here and that others actually listen is a great kindness. So I want to extend that kindness to you as well. I may not have had the same experiences as you, but I will certainly listen to whatever's on your mind or heart. I've seen a few different entities throughout my life so far, but the main ones have been the greys. I don't remember if they were wearing anything because the only thing that I can focus on is the eyes. Even after coming to terms with all of this, their appear still unnerves me. I have moved constantly and I ended up back in the city where I was born. I didn't have allergies until after 2003 and now I have chronic sinusitis. Stomach problems and I can't even wear watches now. If it's a battery powered watch, it would die in a couple weeks, regardless how many times I change the battery. With automatic watches, the time would constantly speed up till the point that it break. Not wearing it-it would keep perfect time. My problem with watches happened after I started remembering my abductions. I too have had horrible insomnia. I tried to outsmart them (before coming to terms) by working midnights, thinking that they couldn't come for me during the day time. I was wrong, of course. Like lois said, "All of us here have had many experiences that resemble each other. You are with good company here and understanding people ..."

The whole time I was away I didn't have the nightmare but as soon as I was back in this house it happened again... Thanks so much for your kind response -- I am so grateful to you and the others who have already written -- especially since I'm trying to make myself go to bed. You give me strength! Were you drawn to go back to the original place like I was? Is that common? To answer your question, I used to draw them all the time, but threw them away. Even when I was really little that "that wasn't going to fly" so to speak. But I can describe them better -- they seemed immensely tall (of course I was a child) but I remember thinking they were a foot taller than my dad, at least (7 feet). They were skinny and had the praying mantis-type head -- almost triangular faces from the front, but the brain cases were very large. They were a pale greenish -- or was it a light that surrounded them...? I can't be positive. Skin-tight uniforms, sometimes I remember a black strap and belt type thing -- and an insignia of some kind on the left chest. When I was about 6 I saw an action figure that came out -- it went with Major Matt Mason -- I'm dating myself here, as it was the late 1960s -- and this action figure resembled the men I had already seen for years. I remember thinking, "Somebody else saw them to and made the idea into an action figure." As with some of the other posts I have read, I had both an attraction and repulsion to these people. I carried that action figure with me everywhere for years, panicking if it was lost. I think maybe it made me feel less alone to have something tangible reflecting my experiences. The figure was called "Calisto." XO

Thank you for your kind words. I feel such a heavy burden has already lifted knowing that some of the things I remember and hadn't heard elsewhere were experiences shared by you and others. I will never forget that jerky motion -- sorry to bring it up. I had an experience once (dream? Abduction?) where my dad and I were taken to my empty kindergarten class and I thought, "Wow! This is so neat! I can laugh and dance around kind of weightlessly and this will impress my dad!" My dad was (is) a person who has been traumatized on so many levels -- child abuse, alien abduction, etc -- and he has never laughed or been delighted really. But as I was jumping around the classroom in front of my dad, who was seated on a chair, I got "the feeling." Oh no. They're coming. I ran to my dad and sure enough here they came jerking their way into the room filling the place with that acrid smell. I don't remember anything else, but boy that experience stuck with me. Something about knowing my dad (and every other adult) was powerless to stop it...Anyway, the boots were sort of dark green and fitted their skinny legs tightly. Not so much like lead boots that I remember, but almost like skin. Hope that helps... Thanks so much again. I appreciate your words more than you know.

Welcome Dawne - This is youe sentence that got me going: " I would wake up with "that feeling" and know I would have to go to our basement."
I've had that feeling off and on during my childhood and once or twice as an adult. In addition, I recreate exactly that feeling in dreams - which comes with the attraction and fear and hiding - all at the same time. You can tell your stories bit by bit - start a thread so the bits don't get lost. Joy to you...Paulette

I could not go back.. Our home burned down in 75 the minute my parents moved out.. Sure would be nice if it was still here. Maybe if I went there again some memories would surface. . Praying matis. hummmm.. This is one alien I fear and get sick just thinking about it. There is a praying mantis thread here on the forum. Maybe under ET life. As a child I was so frighten of them . Could not look one in the face. Something about its eyes I would go into such trauma my Mother could not calm me down. I would run away for total block and not return til some one said it was gone or out of your house.. creepy.. that you mention that horrible word.

Thanks so much -- your kindness is so welcome. So it seems that there are 2 of us posting here from Illinois?! Is that right?! And It seems there are 3 who were "called back" to our original places -- is that right? I am so interested to hear everyone's experiences. I feel I have so much to learn.
Hey, this is so weird, but just sitting here typing this I remember that when I had the experience in the classroom there was important writing on the blackboard. Isn't that strange? I don't remember what it was... Weird. After all these years.
Wow. I wonder what other things I will remember now that I'm here on this site with wonderful, supportive people.

Thank you Paulette, and again, Lois. Yes, the mantis-type men had the huge, black almond eyes -- they looked like the cover on "Communion." When I saw that book display for the first time I was walking with my mom and I almost passed out. When I was little (and still) I LOVED all living things. I would play with snakes and bugs -- no joke! But once on a merry-go-round ride at the Duquoin State Fair I saw a green katydid on the horse's head I was riding. There was something about its eyes and movement that just brought out a surge of terror -- so unlike me -- my dad had to jump on the merry-go-round to rescue me because I was getting OFF! I remember well seeing manites as a child -- we have a lot of them here -- and when they would turn their heads to look at me I would be transported back to some of my experiences. It's so funny, I'm such a nature lover I would say out loud, "You are scaring me, but I love you, ok?" Lois, this sounds like a traumatic subject and I would never want you to be uncomfortable, but if you ever want to discuss the "mantis-types" I would be very interested. Thanks so much and with a humble heart, Dawn

That is the classic way that people have been describing them in pop culture up until recently but reports of green skin are very rare. Not entirely unheard of but rare. They are thinking about making a movie about Major Matt Mason. It's will supposedly be a 3-D adaptation of the action figure series with a huge budget and Tom Hanks as producer or director...or something.

Oh! Thank you for the picture Skywalker! That's him alright! Of course his face isn't really that close, but his big green head is what caught my attention as a child -- and parts of his uniform. My "men" were very much skinnier (especially arms and legs), and as I said, had the pointier chin and huge, black almond eyes. It seems like what I experienced were like "greys" who got stretched upwards to be taller. The green thing was hard to describe -- like a glow around them. I think I may have said in an earlier post that I can't be sure if it was their color or something more external, if that makes any sense. It sure is hard to write all this -- though you are all making it so much easier and I am so touched by your support. Like many people here, I know I'm a smart, grounded person, but when I start writing about (not so little) green men I feel a twinge -- a wince. I so appreciate everyone's kindness.

Skywalker -- I'm also glad you posted because it was mentioned that you woke up with a burn type rash once? As I mentioned previously, I woke up with an approximately 4 inch, circular burn type rash with some red dots in the center. It stung and kind of itched a little, and then started "weeping" and blistering. When I started getting headaches, memory loss, ear-ringing (which still hasn't gone away) and crippling fatigue, I assumed it was Lyme -- after all, I live in tick country. Three doctor's looked at the burn/rash and said, "That is NOT Lyme." But they didn't know what it was. I still have a scar from it several months later -- that isn't normal for Lyme Disease, either. At times it seems to itch a little again and recently one single bump on it re-appeared and then scabbed. Sorry to be so graphic, but I have really been wanting to know what it is -- it started at the same time I felt like "they" were back. Any thoughts?

I dunno about the rash Dawn... that's very very odd indeed... I wasn't actually brought back into this house because of "them". My experience was with the grays... they weren't green... I was brought back here because my ex fiance decided he was going to be abusive and controlling and I had no place else to go except back home to my parents' house. I definitely think you and Lois should have a cup of coffee together sometime... ;D I've seen writing on the walls of my room before in a strange language I couldn't understand- it usually happens right when I wake up. I've been seeing it for about four years now on and off. It hasn't happened much recently thankfully. Also- one night when I was about 23 I had insomnia and the TV turned itself on and started displaying the same odd writing for no reason and scared the pants off of me... of course there were no other witnesses- there never are when weird stuff happens... The beings I saw were very tall too- but I also could have perceived them to be that way because of how small I was (I was eight when I saw them in my house... and I was lying down too... but I perceived them to be grown-up sized). Most people who have seen the grays say they are really short like four feet tall but that is not the type of beings I saw... Very tall, extremely thin... creepy long arms and fingers... The only thing is their movements were graceful- almost like ballet dancers (or at least that's how I remember them...)

Mantis aliens are not noted for having almond shaped black eyes, however, that **IS** the typical description of Grey alien specie eyes.
>they looked like the cover on 'Communion' book.
The rendering on Whitley Strieber's book, is that of a stylized hybrid Grey in the general opinion of the experiencer public, and that of mine as well. Also, Praying-Mantis aliens don't look like Grey aliens either.

Welcome to TEOR Dawnoftime. It certainly does take a load off to get this off of your shoulders and I'm glad you did, especially here ! You couldn't be around any better, understanding people. When I first disclosed what happened to me ( I had a "visit" around the turn of the Century here in Missouri) another member on that forum posted this video which hit close to home in some ways. Although what I experienced were 3 entities which were very close to these, I didn't have the same experience ( that I can recall anyway). What hits close to home to me is the species resemblance in many ways ( with some variant differences) and the horrific reaction to how this man felt towards them. Be Advised: This is still very hard for me to watch . I end up cringing and breaking out in a sweat when I do. By posting this, maybe it will help you in some ways that it did for me yet at the same time it is still very disturbing. As for the difference between the greys and the mantis type, it's difficult for me to know the difference also. One member we had here posted a picture that he drew of what appeared to be a grey specie stooping down which resembled what I saw yet it also had that mantis type look. It had the same ( or very close) appearance as the grey which stooped down in front of me. When they display that posture, they are one and the same Imo. I live "next door" in S.W. Missouri btw. www.crowdedskies.com/images/new_grey.jpgOk. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. So the above is as close as I could find to what I saw -- the angle of the eyes isn't exactly right (I am just obsessed with getting this right, for some reason). I spent late last night and early this morning looking a Google pictures and there was always something not "exact" about each one, but this is close. To me, this is reminiscent of a praying mantis, but I suspect that there is something definite people are talking about with the mantis aliens that is different than what I experienced. Also, I should clarify that it was primarily the eyes and suggestive face shape on the "Communion" cover that made such an impact on me. I had never really seen those eyes like that since my experiences. The really interesting thing is, virtually every "grey" I looked green to me visually. This image I included is very green. But all of them I saw, that said clearly, "This is a grey" was green to me. When I used to make my son grey Jello molds (long story) we always used red and green dye. I wonder if I am just "seeing" the green differently than most people? After reading descriptions of "tall greys" that is DEFINITELY what I am talking about. I'm glad. After some of the comments (not that they were bad in any way!) I started thinking I was losing my mind. Thanks, Cliff, for the video. Yes, it is hard to watch. It is interesting that so many of us are close geographically. Do any of you know if there tend to be geographic "hot spots" for abduction? I have only experienced it here specifically. When I came back to live here for a very short time in my late teens and rented a house I was walking back from the bathroom, going back to bed in the middle of the night once, and I'll be darned if there wasn't one of those men standing in the room. I wasn't afraid, or anything -- which I find weird -- and all he "said" was, "Soon." I have no idea what that meant. Anyway, I have sure felt an impact over the couple of days I have been posting. I am nervous, irritable, panicky...I am getting frustrated with animals here on my sanctuary -- something I just never do. I have continued to be kind and outwardly patient, but I feel like I'm flying apart inside. I broke down and talked to my Better Half about it all yesterday on the phone (she's out visiting my family) and she said, "Honey, it's ok. I believe you." We even talked about her own childhood experiences -- he had recurring nightmares about "a giant" coming to look for her in the night, looking in the windows. She had to have part of her skull removed as a toddler from severe mastoiditis. She has profound PTSD problems -- we're starting to wonder what may have happened to her. She was raised in Charleston Illinois and as crazy as it sounds we felt like we knew each other when we met -- questions, questions. I still feel panicky and teary, but you all have been the most genuinely kind people I have ever come across. Everyone's input, questions for clarification, and information have literally changed my life. I can't thank you all enough.

I just felt moved to give a nod to you that this is true for me, to. I have a really clear impact on electrical devices and machinery. I just don't even wear a watch now. I don't drive the car because I will kill it. I have to use a computer for work and it seems like it is always in the shop. I have never told anyone about this electrical thing except the person I'm with now. It just seems crazy -- but as you know, it's true.
I remember a funny thing: back when I was a kid and we used "rabbit ears" on the tv, I was always having such an impact on the tv that my dad would make me hold on to the rabbit ears a certain way for good reception when there was something he really wanted to watch. I remember my arm feeling like it was going to fall off. ;D LOL

Sorry I'm writing so much -- I am usually such a reserved and quiet person. I hope I am not "over-posting" -- and please no one feel as though they have to continue to answer all I've said -- as I mentioned it is just gushing out. I talked about my son briefly in my last post and it reminded me to ask what may be an unusual question. I know there is usually a "generation after generation" pattern of abduction in families, but I guess I always assumed it was a genetic thing somehow. But my son was conceived through artificial insemination (his other mom carried him and never had any strange experiences of any kind) and yet he came out a carbon copy of me, looking just like me and my mom and grampa in early photos and having all my personality traits. Well, he woke up one night around 8 years old in complete hysterics that "tall, skinny men with black eyes had taken him up in a ship." He said that they lifted him out of the house on a beam of light and when he got in the ship there were other people there. He felt like he recognized them but didn't know any of them from where we were living. And this happened when he was sleeping between me and his other parent. I remember feeling sort of groggy and it was hard to wake up even though he was screaming. I had, of course, never, ever mentioned my experiences to him and as far as I know he had no exposure to the details of abduction. I tried to reassure him and explain that sometimes things happen to us we can't explain -- tried to validate his experience while hopefully helping him feel as safe as possible.
:-( Oh, I am just remembering so much right now. It's like a torrent.
So has it happened to other people that their seemingly non-biological child became involved in the generational abductions?

When I was about 19 years old I had a series of nightmares about biblical scenes (past and future) and the end of the world and all kinds of frightening stuff for several months like every night I was dreaming about this stuff... One night I dreamed about the tall grays again. One of them came into my bedroom. She was a female- the one who spoke to me when I was 8 had a male voice but this one was a female. At one point in the dream I ended up standing right next to her and she was almost exactly the same height as me (and I am about six feet tall). So yea. The grays CAN be tall... I've been trying to meet with someone who has had an experience with a tall gray but there don't seem to be very many of them... Maybe you were right. Maybe they were grays with a green light shining on them? Did you get a good look at their hands and fingers? What did they look like? As far as the eyes go, I'm not really sure how big or what they were shaped like. You'd think I would remember since one of them got up right in my face and stared at me and scared me so bad I wanted to die but I just don't remember... All I know is they were solid black eyes. That's it really...

So has it happened to other people that their seemingly non-biological child became involved in the generational abductions? It would appear that the abductors are attracted to certain genetic traits, like psychic abilities or unusual levels of intelligence. If a boy had those in his genes he could definitely become a target regardless of who is raising him. The traits could have been passed down from either of the biological parents. Since you mentioned artificial insemination I'm assuming you probably don't know much about the father? It's possible he may have had his own abduction experiences. I did wake up with a weird rash once. It happened just a few weeks after my first abduction experience. During the night I felt something stick me in the back like somebody had jabbed a needle into my spine. I instantly became very weak and paralyzed and lost consciousness. The next morning I had the rash all over my body. I was completely covered with little round red welts that itched horribly. I was also so sick I couldn't even get out of bed for three days. The rash went away about two weeks later. Never did figure out what it was. I associate it with the abduction simply because it happened so close to the first experience and I have never had anything like that happen to me before or since. If it was not abduction related it was one heck of a coincidence. There was another time that I developed a rash on my leg that is similar to what you described. It was about four inched wide and round...very pink/red colored and it itched and burned horribly. I went to a hospital to have it looked at and the doctors did not have a clue what it was. It took about three weeks for that one to go away and afterwards there was a little hole in my leg where the thing had been. That took about six months to completely heal. The only rational explanation I can think of is that it may have been a spider bite that got infected. I never saw any spider and don't remember getting bitten and have no evidence to support that theory but that's the only earthly explanation I can think of that might have caused it. I dunno...

On three different occasions I had woke up with a "spider bite" on my right forearm. The first time I wrote it off as being a bite, so I purchased an insect trap for my bedroom. I didn't see any spiders, but just in case. The second time, it was in the same exact spot. I thought that was odd and it didn't want to seem to go away. So I used peroxide and when that didn't work, I went to my grandma's for a home remedy. Assuming that it was a bite, she treated it the best way she knew how. I had a severe reaction and like you, I broke out in welts. I finally went to the hospital (I can't stand hospitals) and the doctor in the ER treated me. He looked at it and gave me an antibiotic. He looked at it again and said that whatever it was, it wasn't a spider bite. The last time happened here in this apartment. I had strong feelings for my (once) friend who is also an abductee. Since she was getting married, I didn't want things to get complicated for her. So I asked "them" to take away my feelings for her. I felt so torn about the issue, so I continued to beg. Then on a Saturday morning, I awoke feeling better than I had in a very long time. There again was the mark in the same exact place. When I awoke, My right arm was stretched out away from the covers and facing up, exposing the crook of my arm. I got up and went about enjoying my Saturday off when she called. She came over to give me a book that I had lent her. Zero feelings of longing for her. I looked at her and didn't feeling anything other than the fact that I just wanted to be friends.

Hi Dawn,
Welcome. Here are a few of my thoughts.
“Once I remember looking back and seeing myself still laying in bed (which doesn't make sense, I know).” - Out of Body experience with perception. Helps one understand that we are not our body, we are consciousness. A lesson which brings a perspective to our lives.
“The men moved with scary, jerky movements.” - For me like insects, very fast movements and then very still sensory mode. Mantis perhaps. Multiple eyes perhaps. I definitely did not see the face aspect with the nostrils and little mouth that appears almost human in most renderings.
I also moved back to my home state (NE Ohio) after being gone for about 20 years. I don't know if this is related to culture or climate. The air is thicker and richer here that in CA and the environment is a temperate rain forest, as opposed to desert-like. My family is here and so that is a factor.
I think we vastly oversimplify with the term Gray. There may be vast variation in them, as there is in humans, as well as different species with similar characteristics. I have heard estimates that over two hundred alien species are involved in the earth project on a regular basis. Also we have reports that the Grays are manufactured creatures, grown in cylinders of liquid, in which case they are probably designed with great variety depending on function (worker drones in a hive mentality?).

Thanks so much and with a humble heart, Dawn Hello DawnOfTime,

You can say that again. Grays don't mean a thing to me. Ever since I seen The book cover of Intruders. Budd Hopkins.. But those mantis would put a chill up anyone's spine. I cannot say I seen Mantis aliens but every thing in my life since childhood and teens that had to do with a praying mantis made me go bazook . Like when they made the Edsel around 1959 I could not look at those middle front vents. The elongated black things scared me to death to almost sick. We had to pass a car sales lot after school let out. I walked with my friend on the opposite side of the street and would not even glance toward the street til we were pass them. I know it is very crazy. But then one day at Mufon. Steve showed me in a post a case in Canada where the witness drew the alens from his encounter. There were suppose to be the mantis type. They were identical to that Edsel..
