Just a little while ago I was sitting here and the power went off (10:30ish). It came right back on, but I ran out and looked up to see if I could see anything. I looked for a while, then said out loud, "You could be right there taking up half the sky and I might not see you." I was somewhat frustrated. Then I saw a light blue blip -- it didn't look like a meteorite, but, of course, it could have been. I'm going to bed now. I'll let you know if I wake up with any bruises, scoops, grueling illness, messages calling for whirled peas, etc.

Sleep well Dawn... I hope your night proves to be uneventful... (maybe they're after the neighbors instead of you...)

Out of curiosity, did it happen to travel from the North and head South/Southeast by any chance ? I went out several times tonight and didn't see anything. I haven't in quite awhile. The timeline wouldn't fit but about 3 a.m. or so something I couldn't identify sped over resembling a meteor and it was light blue, not very bright, but very quick and obvious. I have studied Astronomy ( as an amateur) most of my life and I don't think this was a meteor. It was too quick for a bird. I was watching a jet approach from the West heading due East when it went over quick before the jet reached the Zenith. It came from the vicinity beginning visually from the constellation 'Ursa Major' (The Big Dipper). The weather conditions by this time had went from clear to partly cloudy and it was right at or just above the cloud deck. I just don't know,,,,,just sayin. If I remember, I'll check later today to see if there are any known meteor showers just in case.

When I saw the ufo (two years ago this week) we had a seven and a half power outage. We also had extreme lightning, most of it without any thunder. The ufo was two shades of blue- a colors of blue not of this world.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I did wake up with a weird bruise on my arm after being too restless to sleep in bed -- I moved out to the couch. The bruise is about 3/4s of an inch around with a raised white spot in the middle with two red dots inside that...spider bite? It doesn't hurt or itch. Who knows?
I do know my 5 rescue dogs were nuts yesterday -- jumpy and barking at things I couldn't perceive. When I keptt going outside the neighbor's dog was also barking non-stop.
Cliff, to answer your questions, it sounds like you and I saw exactly the same thing. My little blue streak went from West to East, and in my case there was a jet going from the East to the East and the streak appeared and disappeared before the jet reached its zenith. It seems like we saw the same thing in reverse. We are pretty close neighbors. It would be interesting to know for sure if there were some meteors. Do let me know. ;-)

Oh, I also have a weird blister between my large toe and the next one over on my left foot, with something hard and "gristley" underneath it. I haven't been around poison ivy, and this is a big blister, just a single one. No itching. Sorry to be so graphic -- I just wanted to be accurate. I try to list everything, in case it jogs someone else's memory.

The Aquariads peak May 4-5th. That doesn't explain it because of a difference in the beginning location and trajectory. It could explain a sporadic one however with the flux of comets entering our solar system. Jokelly just posted an article recently about our planets future orbit entering a swarm of what will be leftover particles from comet ISON which should take place in 2014. I haven't responded to that article yet but those particles , depending on the nature of that particular comets composition might not be seen visually when they enter according to one NASA Astrophysicist. They may form a type of "noctilucent cloud" far above our atmosphere which may be visible from the debris. I have seen these before and it's cool to watch for an astro geek such as myself. ;D It will be something I will hopefully be observing. It's too early to know yet. Read more: theedgeofreality.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=space&action=display&thread=3338#ixzz2SB6ygfFxI was up throughout the night observing only visually without using the telescope at intermittent times. I haven't noticed any visible marks since awakening or anything out of the ordinary other than that object , whatever it was. I cannot (on my part) classify it as a 'sighting' as I've seen too many of those types of objects, especially within the past few years. Dawnoftime, whatever is causing those marks, stay aware and keep your eyes on the skies (except when driving of course) .

Thanks, Cliff!
I wouldn't classify mine as a sighting, either. I really enjoy your knowledge about astronomy. Keep the info coming! :-)

The same night my wife was driving on the freeway and saw a blue light with a tail zoom across her view. She thought Meteorite, since it had a tail.
