I can't even begin to imagine what it's like inside that man's head. He IS a king when it comes to the twisted and bizarre

His best material is written outside of the considerations of genre, such as "It," the Dark Tower series, "The Stand," and so forth. "It" was a gem of a story as it combined elements of human experience: it was a psychological thriller, a human interest story, a sci-fi story, and a horror yarn. The more freedom King thinks he has, the better his writing becomes. I'm certainly a fan, but I point to the aforementioned books as examples of his talent and genius, not the commercial success he has enjoyed.

I think Stephen King is the best writer I've ever seen. I hate most of his stories but I love the way he writes.
