www.ufocasebook.com/ancients/anunnaki.html The Legend of the Anunnaki and Planet NibiruZecharia Sitchin 2/15/2011 The Anunnaki (also transcribed as: Anunna, Anunnaku, Ananaki and other variations) are a group of Sumerian, Akkadian, Assyrian and Babylonian deities. Zecharia Sitchin was an Azeri-born American author of books promoting an explanation for human origins involving ancient astronauts. Sitchin attributes the creation of the ancient Sumerian culture to the Anunnaki, which he states was a race of extraterrestrials from a planet beyond Neptune, called Nibiru. He believed this hypothetical planet of Nibiru to be in an elongated, elliptical orbit in the Earth's own Solar System, asserting that Sumerian mythology reflects this view. Sitchin's books have sold millions of copies worldwide and have been translated into more than 25 languages. Sitchin's theories are not accepted by scientists and academics who dismiss his work as pseudohistory and pseudoscience Sitchin's work has been criticized for flawed methodology and mistranslations of ancient texts as well as for incorrect astronomical and scientific claims. Similarly to earlier authors such as Immanuel Velikovsky and Erich von Däniken, Sitchin advocated theories in which extraterrestrial events supposedly played a significant role in ancient human history. According to Sitchin's interpretation of Mesopotamian iconography and symbology, outlined in his 1976 book "The 12th Planet" and its sequels, there is an undiscovered planet beyond Neptune that follows a long, elliptical orbit, reaching the inner solar system roughly every 3,600 years. This planet is called Nibiru. According to Sitchin, Nibiru (whose name was replaced with MARDUK in original legends by the Babylonian ruler of the same name in an attempt to co-opt the creation for himself, leading to some confusion among readers) collided catastrophically with Tiamat (a goddess in the Babylonian creation myth the Enûma Eliš), which he considers to be another planet once located between Mars and Jupiter. That's the problem with UFO & rumor..too many people WANTING good things to be true and not wanting to wait for the real version to own up to it. I know I'd love to think there are friendly travelers from beautiful worlds wanting to take our hand in friendship and fix what is wrong with this planet. Trouble is..I don't think that's their job...and we have no proof they're from other planets yet. We need to fix ourselves..then the wrongs we have done to our planet and one another..not be given a second or third or fourth chance or to go out and cause problems on other planets until we've reached a level of maturity that matches all others. We can't even get along with other races on our own planet. If they landed..half of us will find a reason to hate them...unless they give everyone lots of goodies. So far..you just have to believe that if they wanted to befriend us they would have long ago. I don't say that IS the way it is..just my own thoughts on it. Things I think about when I think possibilities

Hi Jo, I understand. When i said I almost want it to be true.. I mean that there should be a 9th/10th planet with life on it.. A new discovery feeding all of our excitement. I wasn't thinking as far as interplanetary relations I know I'd love to think there are friendly travelers from beautiful worlds wanting to take our hand in friendship and fix what is wrong with this planet. Trouble is..I don't think that's their job... True. they probably don't care (if they are visiting here that is). We are probably what they see in their NatGeo We need to fix ourselves..then the wrongs we have done to our planet and one another..not be given a second or third or fourth chance or to go out and cause problems on other planets - In my opinion, WE ARE the problem. WE are the pandemic Regards, Srinivas

I have read both Sitchin and Lawrence (about the Annunaki) and believe me it is NOT about helpful sky people who came here to help us develop for our own good. I will try to do a brief review of what I remember, filtered through my own biases:
The sky people came here to harvest gold and maybe radioactive materials as well. For awhile they had their own people working in the mines. It was hard work and they protested. So a plan was devised to modify the existing fauna by using recombinant dna. As my husband said, "To make workers smart enough to follow instructions but not so smart as to refuse to work under bad conditions." Early experiments didn't go well - the hybrids bred rapidly and were irritating - and the visitors wiped them out (maybe not all of them). With a flood. And there is, according to Sitchin, an area in Mesopotamia/Sumer that has 15 feet of red mud as a seeming bottom layer to archeological digs. Subsequent attempts results in usable workers. In fact, the females were found to be attractive to the visitors and additional genetic enrichments occurred. The House of David has the highest amount of alien blood - and it was later kept from dilution by intentional recombining with others of the blood. Lawrence believes that Mary Magdalene come to France bearing a child of Jesus (and the blood of the House of David) and this was carefully preserved in all the ruling families of Europe.
Humans were propelled from being hunter-gatherer forest dwellers to living in architecturally perfect dwellings with square corners and multi-stories VERY QUICKLY. They also got writing, metallurgy, math, money systems, government by representation, crop and animal husbandry, irrigation systems...
Interestingly, the later resulted in their area becoming desertified and the salt building up in the soil. Too many children surviving and too many goats.
By and large, humans were not informed as to the science behind the ships that came and went and they revered (were subservient to) - the sky visitors. When they left, things deteriorated for the now on their own humans. They did the equivalent of cargo magic, building structures that looked like rockets. Check out the steeple on the next church you see. What exactly is the function of the pointy bit???

It's hard to say what has influenced the very diverse people that we are. All of the blood types..the definitive profiles of races..even differing body density. How can we come by so many 'types' without outside influence? When I was younger..I had the idea for a science fiction book..the idea being that the 'Ark' was actually the earth..and that various races and animals were 'seeded' here as an experiment (or to keep them from dying off). We've probably had a lot of 'influence' we don't know about

Hey Paulette!, I have read that one before.. Ok. this is what i have a problem with: In fact, the females were found to be attractive to the visitors and additional genetic enrichments occurred. When I read this, my question what HOW is this even possible for them to find another species attractive? Ofcourse, may be i an quite unsophisticated to understand that. But.. we don't fine monkeys or apes attractive. When you cross one organism to another, you are essentially creating new species. We have done that ourselves - Liger and Tigon and such. They are however generally infertile. Science believes that it is nature's defense mechanism to creating different kind of species - i guess artificially. I just can't fathom being attracted to another species. Its something like bestiality (i don't know if I am supposed to say that - my apologies. But thats the best way to described it really). But even there i don't think they find another species attractive. I was ok with everything about Zach Sitchin's Ancient Astronaut theory though. Regards, Srinivas

The attractive females were already hybrids - the first was born of the female Annunaki (I forget her name). They were not totally dissimilar to us - bipedal, eyes facing forward...OK early sculptures of Isis (in Sitchin's book) she is long and lithe and has wrap-around eyes.
There weren't that many females here (according to Sitchin). When European invaders came and mated with the Innuit or any of the females they found, they probably felt that they were sexing with not-humans. Many people on this board believe that hybridization with greys is possible and that the offspring is a bit like both. Hu-men have reported being sexually attracted to hybrid adult females. It's not that big a stretch.
I think my point is not how or even that it happened. It's that these two investigators (and Sitchin spend his life researching old Aramaic and Sumerian sources and the pre-biblical texts and the excluded parts of the Bible...) can make a case for it. It may be that everyone in the universe is related by star hopping dna via comets and such.

Reminds me of the science fiction series 'Ringworld' the author Larry Niven..created an amazing ribbon like world..populated by many diverse species. The common denominator for them was rishathra (interspecies sex). They used it for commerce..and for diplomacy. I cannot see the attraction to 'lizzard folk' but to each their own I suppose

I know it sounds crazy though. lol ;D
