Hey! I actually remembered to remind myself to write about my weird dream today. That's pretty cool. It means I'm not totally senile yet after all. (Just wait until you turn ~ 45 ~ ) and. . . when the boat hit the submerged log is when I started hearing the 'shark" music . Glad you got outta there!!

Just read this on FB:
I don't know why so many people get eaten by sharks. Don't they hear the music?

Way back when I first started having the shark dreams they did have the Jaws music in them. This was in 1988 which was more than a decade after the movie came out. I don't hear the music any more though.

I had a really bad dream last night...and something weird that happened the day before. I'll start with what happened during the day. Somebody sent me a text message on my cell phone that showed a small statue of a T-rex and another statue of a Texas longhorn. The camera angle was such that the T-rex looked like it was having, shall we say "intimate relations" with the cow. The text of the message said, "Really T. Right in front of everyone?" I have no idea who sent me that message or why. The phone number had a central Texas area code but was not a number that I recognized. There aren't many people who have my phone number either. Later that night is when I had the dream and naturally it was about...a T-rex. ****************************** August 26, 2012I was in a boat floating down a river. There were T-rexes in the forest all around me. They were hunting for me.
The river was divided so that there was a narrow section with deep water that had tall earthen banks on both sides but was only about 15 feet wide, and a wide open part that had shallow rapidly moving water. There was a small section of land just a few feet across that separated the two.
I was in the narrow part and I was debating whether or not I should climb over to the other side and take my chances in the open river. The water was moving faster but it was much more exposed to view. The part that I was in was kind of hidden from view but I was only a few feet from the bank. At that close a range I would have been easy pickings for anything that wanted to put the chomps on me.
I finally decided to take my chances on the other side so I stepped out onto the small ridge of land in between the two rivers and just as I did I saw that there was a T-rex standing right on the other side waiting for me. That was when I woke up from that dream. After I went back to sleep I had another one. This time I was hiding in what appeared to be a huge warehouse. I was running up and down the aisles looking for a place to hide because once again the T-rexes were after me. There were several of them outside the warehouse. To make matters worse, the warehouse had no roof.
There were other people running around also. They were trying to get away just the same as I was but we weren't trying to help each other...we were just running. I finally decided to crawl under a bunch of shelves that had boxes and things stacked on them hoping that nothing would be able to see me way down on the floor like that. I got under it just in time too because at that moment one of the dinosaurs stuck his head in the building and started looking around.
It couldn't find me at first but it grabbed one of the other people and bit him then dropped him too the ground. then it bit him again. The T-rex wasn't killing the guy but was just causing him huge amounts of pain. I understood why too. They were looking for me. The monster was trying to force the poor guy to reveal my location.
The man screamed in pain and tried to resist but after being bitten several times he finally turned and pointed in my direction. They knew where I was!
That was when I woke up again...********************************* I have to admit that those were some of the more frightening dreams that I have had about T-rexes. I actually woke up sweating and then buried myself inside my sleeping bag even though it was probably 80 degrees out. I hate dreams like that. I just spent the rest of the night tossing and turning. I don't know if the dreams that I had were caused by the weird text message I got or anything but it was definitely weird.

Yikes! I had only one T-Rex dream and it scared me to death. I had a rather disturbing dream last night and when I awoke from it I looked at my clock which said 3:33. It gave me pause. Mostly because it was the second time I saw that number in a 24 hour period.

Yeah, I see those weird repeating numbers a lot when I wake up at night too. I have no idea what they mean though.
Last night I had another dream. This one wasn't a nightmare and there weren't any giant animals with sharp teeth chasing after me but I thought I would write it down anyway.
August 28, 2012
I was in a house somewhere with some guy who was supposedly a professional assassin working for the government. We were having an argument about something. I have no idea what but it was probably about whether or not the dude was going to kill me.
We ended up fighting and he definitely was pretty good at it but I still managed to get a few licks in. It seemed like he may have been holding back a little. At one point I landed a good punch on his jaw that sent him reeling over backwards and onto the stove. There were knives on the counter next to the stove and I thought for sure he was going to grab one and stab me with it.
When he came at me again his hand was sort of curled up like he was holding a knife but I didn't see one...at least not at first. I eventually did see that he was holding a knife but the blade was turned away from me instead of towards me. It was apparent that he was still holding back.
I managed to grab the knife and wrench it out of his hands and at that moment I had the advantage, but instead of stabbing him with it I tossed it away. It was then that we both realized that neither of us really wanted to fight each other so why were we doing it? We both stopped.
That was when I woke up...

Are you fighting yourself about anything lately? I ask because I am at war with myself fairly often..brain vs emotion...responsibility vs desire to not be so tied down..etc. Most of us have little inner battles and to me..sounds like yours might be surfacing. We can't ever really harm ourselves in dreams...nor do we really want to. But sometimes our actions when we're awake are kind of self destructive. I'm not saying that is you...but sounds like you might have a conflict within.

Sanseed..I pay attention to the repeating numbers I see a lot because I think they're guidelines..hints about what's going on or coming. This is one url I like..there are others if you type in repeating number sequences to google or yahoo www.sacredscribes.net/angelnumbersequences.htmthere is a growing interest in this right now.

Sigh. So what makes the writer so informed about the actual MEANING of the numbers? Apart from having some information about numerology - which I believe the Sumerians started (in numberology all numbers are reduced to a one digit number by adding the digits together). These numbers correspond to the number on the Tarot deck (because the Westerner who devised the most used Ryder deck - and most imitated deck - knew his numerology. Likewise the chakras of one's body "agree" with the meanings of their numbers.
I think if one keeps seeing a particular number then by all means check out what someone else has said. But also check out your own intuition and what big things have happened in your past (like when you were born, when your children were born, when you got married, etc). Maybe see when that tornado touched down on the news...

Some people can channel spiritual beings. I do get messages from that direction too. Granted..not everyone is going to believe all they read..it's like accounts of UFO's or big foot. Some people have skills others don't have and maybe this one is just plain old faith. I don't have a problem with that especially since the nde I had and subsequent messages. I do know..that when I have read their explanations of the meanings..it does match what comes in my life. What works for me...doesn't always for someone else and visa versa

I had another one of my nightmares last night. This one was about snakes and is kind of unusual because there is no full moon right now. Usually I only have nightmares when the moon is full...or at least that's the way it has been for the past couple of years anyway. September 9, 2012I was standing in a swamp surrounded by fog. There was fog everywhere and it was so thick I couldn't even see the ground. I could see the trunks of trees that were sticking up out of the ground here and there but could not see the leaves. The mist was everywhere.
Every once in a while I would see a snake slither up one of the tree trunks so I knew that there were snakes around, I just couldn't see where they were. I was trying to creep along very carefully so I wouldn't accidentally step on one.
All of a sudden I heard a huge noise that went "BOOM!!" I'm not sure what made it but just as it did the whole swamp suddenly came alive with snakes crawling everywhere! There were thousands of them and they had been right under my feet all the time, I just couldn't see them.
I was about to start panicking because I didn't know which way to run to get away from them when suddenly a big snake suddenly fell down out of a tree and landed right on me!
That was when I woke up...When I woke up a just lay they for a few moments trying to convince myself that it was just a dream and that there were no snakes with me in bed. As I was trying to calm down enough to go back to bed I remembered that Bill Dance blooper video where he was sitting in his boat fishing and a huge snake fell out of a tree and landed right on him. He quickly filled the air with a flurry of yells, screams and karate chops that sent the sanke flying head over tail to the far end of the boat. ;D It's one of the funniest things I have ever seen and I couldn't help busting out laughing when I thought of it. ;D So there I was at 2:30 in the morning lying there in the dark and just about dying of laughter. The dream didn't seem so scary after that.

Funny to me..that the last nightmare I ever had when I was just a child..was about snakes. I was in a bathtub surrounded by slithering masses of them. Now..it makes me wonder if I wasn't being 'visited' even farther back than I thought.

I've had nightmares about tarantulas and I've woken up from them and immediately leaped out of bed because I just KNEW there were spiders in my sheets... I know the feeling... trust me! One time (when I was 17) I ran across the hallway and shook my mom awake and told her there were tarantulas in my bed because I SAW them on the wall above the head of my bead and I SAW them leap off the wall down onto my bed!! Mom calmly explained to me, "Lore, we live in Alaska. We don't have tarantulas here. They would die." My response? "Oh..." ~nervous giggle~ "...right.... thanks mom..." Of course i checked my bed again before I went back to sleep... just in case... ;D

Skywalker! I went rockhounding in the interior of BC and we parked next to a rock pile (of course) and a log that had a nice shady place under it. I went to get my stick out of the back - and there was a faint lazy clacking coming from under the log. I thought it was locusts. But then I walked a little closer and the sound got more determined - louder and faster. I'm thinking rattle snake. So we moved down a little. Lots of room for everyone up in the hills.

Do they have rattlesnakes way up there in Canada? I thought it would get kind of cold for them in the winters. I guess they would be there though since they live just about everywhere else. I know there are lots of them in North and South Dakota and that is pretty far north. Good thing you didn't get chomped! I had a really weird lucid dream last night that I will post when I have some more time. Had a couple more nightmares recently too. I'll post them also.

We definitely have several kinds of rattlers in the hot dry hoo doos and dry pine forests of the interior (where I was.) Rattlesnakes don't like biting animals that are too big to eat. The poison is an outlay of energy - it has to be made, stored, and there is a finite amount available. Plus, big things have hooves, boots, sticks, etc. Biting a big thing is either an accident (a hand comes down where one is sleepily sunning on a ledge) or a last ditch attempt to preserve one's life - someone is pointing at the snake with a stick or trying to pick it up.
Killing a good sized snake means that the baby production of a lot of uneaten rats or mice goes unchecked. They are part of the web. In Guam, apparently a brown tree snake was introduced by the US army, when moving Army suplus around after the war. It (and think it was one snake previously fertilized and ready to lay eggs) completely wiped out 5 species of birds. 2 species are being kept alive in captivity. Then the spiders went into a population boom - no birds to eat them or fly through their webs which require energy to rebuilt and kept the numbers down. Now the island is webbed, there is no birdsong in the jungle and some plants which were polinated by insects are not propagating (the spiders are mopping up all the insects). All because of one snake in a box somewhere that came from Admiral Island off Australia (now that we have genetic tests, people can say these things with assurance).
I didn't mind moving away - as the snake requested. It was a polite warning.
There are aggressive poisonous snakes - the black mamba being one, and the brown snake in Australia being another. Black mambas have been known to chase a horse (and its rider) to try to bite it or drive it out of its territory. If one is walking one is grave danger if one of these creatures comes after you.
I would not rock hound in places with aggressive lethal creatures.

Those mambas are some bad dudes. Rattlesnakes are tame by comparison.

I've been having a lot of nightmares lately for some reason. Last month I had them about six or seven times and I just had another one last night. They are the usual dreams about animals chasing after me...lions, snakes, bears, Oh my! Last night's dream was about a dinosaur trying to eat me. I saw him coming towards me and climbed up a tree to try to get away but the tree only put me a couple feet above his head so he kept walking around the tree and sticking his head up through the branches trying to get to me while I was moving from one branch to another to keep away from him. It was only a matter of time before I got chomped. I suppose I must have realized that because I woke myself up. The unusual thing is that my dreams are not following their normal pattern of happening during the full moon like they have been for the past several years. These were spread out throughout the entire month. I have also been having a lot of nosebleeds which also were spread throughout the month instead of just happening during the full moon. I wonder what is causing the change all of a sudden?

I had another nightmare last night. This one was about alligators. October 6, 2012I was with some friends and their young boys and we were out in a field looking for rabbits and small animals because the kids wanted to see them. I was wandering along minding my own business when I accidentally wandered right into a swamp.
"Oh, crap!" I thought to myself because I realized that there are alligators in swamps. I quickly looked around and noticed that a bunch of the toothy reptiles had already spotted me and were rapidly heading in my direction. I took off running to get away but accidentally ran in the direction of a river. Not good because the water was deep and probably full of gators. I ran the other direction towards a hill but just before I got to it I came to another small river. This one was only about 10 feet wide and a few feet deep and I could still hear the alligators coming up behind me so I decided to take the chance and I started running full speed and gave a mighty leap across the river. Naturally I didn't make it all the way across and landed in the water with a might splash but to my surprise I was able to pull myself out and scramble up the bank without getting eaten.
I started running along the top of the bank through the tall weeds hoping that I could get away from the swamp before the alligators managed to cut me off. I knew they were getting close but wasn't sure where they were because I couldn't see them in the tall weeds. I just kept running as hard as I could.
That's when I woke up.

I had a weird dream last night. I barely even remember it even right after I had it. I woke up at 3:15 and couldn't get back to sleep so here I am typing on the computer. November 9, 2012I dreamed that I had just bought a new house and was getting ready to move in. It was a divided house that had the kitchen and dining areas in a seperate building from the bedrooms. The building with the bedrooms looked like it had once been part of a small hotel or something with the rooms divided up and a front door to each room.
I showed up to move intothe house and found a bunch of carpenters working on the bedrooms. They told me that there had been water leaking through the roof and there was a big puddle on the floor. I tried to go in to look at it to see how bad the damage was but they wouldn't let me in which was kind of strange since it was my house. I wondered how much it was going to cost to repair the damage. Then I looked at the outside and noticed that the roof was rotted out and caving in. The house was falling apart before my eyes!
I also discovered that the woman who was the agent who sold me the house was a vampire. So were the carpenters...and they all started coming afte me.
I jumped into my car (which happened to be the one I have been working on for the past couple of years) and tried to get away but then realized it would be impossible to do that since the car still doesn't run. All of the stuff hasn't even been hooked up yet so there is no possible way the engine would start.
The crazy vampire lady was coming towards me so I rolled up the window and locked the door which was a pretty meaningless gesture. It wouldn't be hard for a crazy vampire lady to break a window. Then as I was sitting there I realized that the engine was running even though I had not started it and there was no gas in the tank.
I decided to try driving it anyway so I put it in gear and stepped on the gas peddle and it slowly started moving forward. I didn't want to rev the engine too high because you aren't supposed to do that to an engine before it has been broken in but the crazy vampire lady was still coming after me so I was kind of reving it alittle but not too much. I was also trying to dodge in and out of the carpenters because I didn't want to run any of them over because I didn't want to mess up my car.
That was when I woke up...I have no idea why I have crazy dreams like this. It doesn't make any sense at all. I have noticed that the crumbling old house seems to be a common topic for my dreams though. I suppose that means something. Just don't know what...

I guess in a way it's good that I don't dream, or at least I don't remember if I do. The last 2 dreams/nightmares I had if I can recall correctly were about snakes and alligators that I think I mentioned either on this thread or someone else's awhile back. I know another one awhile back was about a grey tapping at my window at about 2 or 3 in the morning followed by my dog barking and growling at the same window which is rare for them to do in the middle of the night while were sleeping unless something is actually there.
I find it a coincidence that Jo doesn't dream much like myself and that Skywalker is having some of his about the same things I am. There just might be something to all of this. When I was a child I didn't like vampires either. I would lay down and cover up my neck before going to sleep, lol. Then there is the numbers thing that has been discussed in previous threads,,,,,

Well there is something 'new' I'm feeling..like a surge of interest or a re-emergence of interest..I mentioned about the pyramid shaped red dots on my inner thigh..I can't line that up with anything that normal life might cause. Vampires..blood suckers..predators. A bit like sharks and snakes. We have that in common Cliff the very last nightmare I ever had (as a child) was about snakes. It's hard to explain..but I feel a 'stirring'. December might just be some target date of 'theirs'...I still have this lingering feeling about some 'door-way' opening. I'm getting 'floods' of different messages now.

Now I'm dreaming about crazy sea monsters. This is a new one. I've only had one sea monster dream before and it wasn't really what I would call scary. The "sea monster" from before was basically a long fuzzy worm with a smiley face on it. Yeah...like that's going to scare somebody. This one was slightly different. December 11, 2012I was on a big ship out in the middle of the ocean. It appears to be some type of salvage vessel. We were cruising along when we saw this giant metal thing that looked like a huge boiler or a joint from a section of pipe. It must have been really heavy but it was floating at the surface and rolling over and over again.
Some of the crew wanted to salvage it because it must have been worth something but the captain said no. Reluctantly we kept moving. We started sailing again when this long rope-like thing with a barb on the end started flailing across the side of the ship. Everybody was standing around trying to figure out what it was. Nobody had a clue.
One crewman was leaning up against the railing when suddenly several of the barb things shot up out of the water and went right through him. They started to drag him towards the ocean. Me and another crewman leaped forward and grabbed him. As we were struggling to keep him from going overboard these little black tubes shot up out of the water and latched onto the poor guy. They seemed to be sucking the life out of him.
Looking down we could see the a giant sea monster rising up out of the water. It looked kind of like a giant squid with weird tentacles and tubes dangling from its face. It was rising up towards the rail and the helpless crewman.
Everybody panicked and started running away except for me and the other guy who were still trying to hold on to the poor guy. It looked like it our attempts to save him were going to be in vain because the face of the monster was getting closer. It was time for it to feed.
I had to do something so I ran inside the ship looking for some kind of weapon. I was running through the cafeteria while all around me people were sitting down eating seemingly oblivious to the crises going on outside. As I looked around I saw the chefs cooking food in the kitchen. They were making spaghetti.
There was a big boiling pot of noodles on the stove and I'm sure the cooks were wondering what the heck I was doing when I grabbed it off the stove and ran out the door with it.
Seeing the sea monster attempting to slither over the rail I ran over and dumped the boiling water right in its ugly tentacle-covered face. It quickly let go and disappeared back into the ocean. And that was when I woke up...
