Loud bangs heard, shaking felt beneath Clintonville homes8:52 AM, Mar. 19, 2012 CLINTONVILLE — City officials continue work to identify the cause of overnight tremors. City Administrator Lisa Kuss said crews were able to rule out potential causes that would’ve presented a danger to residents. “At this point, unfortunately, it’s still a mystery,” she said. Residents in the northeast quadrant of the city began to report the tremors on Sunday about 9:30 a.m. Residents reported feeling vibrations and rattling and hearing booming and exploding noises. Reports peaked between 2 and 3 a.m. “There doesn’t seem to be any indication that there’s a fire hazard,” Kuss said. City crews checked the sewers and landfill for elevated gas levels. They were normal. Tremors have since subsided. Officials received additional reports about 5:30 a.m. and 7 a.m., though residents in the later morning reported, “hearing it more than feeling it,” Kuss said. Comment: Joshua Yagow • Service Advisor at Klein Automotive"I live in that area, it woke us up at 3:00am. My dogs started to growl and it sounded just like thunder, about every 15-20 seconds. Weirdest damn thing ever." www.greenbaypressgazette.com/article/20120319/GPG0101/120319024/Update-Clintonville-still-investigating-noises-shaking-beneath-homes?odyssey=mod|newswell|text|FRONTPAGE|s

Equipment fails to record mystery booms Mar 21, 2012 12:05 p.m.
Officials in an eastern Wisconsin city are trying to record a series of mysterious booming sounds that have roused residents from bed in the past few days, but their attempts have so far come up empty.
The city of Clintonville set up audio and video recorders overnight Wednesday but didn't capture anything. There was at least one loud boom at 5 a.m.
City administrator Lisa Kuss says most theories involving manmade causes have been ruled out. She says the city is planning to bring in some sort of vibration-detection devices to try to determine where the epicenter is.
The booms started Sunday. Residents describe them as sounding like thunder, fireworks or someone slamming a heavy door.
The city will hold a meeting Wednesday evening to update residents on the investigation.
This is the third night in a row that the sounds have been heard with still no answers. Some residents have opted to leave until the sounds subside. Some of it is out of worry for their family's safety, and some out of need for a good nights sleep.

I don't have a clue what the sounds are but I found a few not so serious suggestions in the comments that went with the story. "It's the Chinese finally breaking through to the surface."
"it's just the vibrations of our Founding Father's turning over in their graves...."
"It's the badgers I tell you.."
"It's just China digging their way into our Country to take it over completely."
"It's a boomtown!!"The jokers who made those comments seem to have as much of a clue about what's going on there as the serious scientists do. Everybody is in the dark on this one. I wonder why we are having all of this weird unexplained stuff happening all at the same time? Weird sounds in the air, rumbling booms under the ground, that unexplained hole they found in New Jersey last year...with all of the technology and knowledge that we have nowadays you would think we would be able to figure this stuff out. It can't be that difficult.

Boomtown?! I love it! ;D On the local news they said they're bring in equipment from an engineering company to try to find the "epicenter". No one has any idea what the sounds are. They feel as though it's some geological event, but not anything within the usual category. Another town about 80 miles south of Clintonville reported that they have also heard booming noises today. I'm not sure about that one, but I'll keep an eye on it. This whole thing has people pretty freaked out. I can't say as I blame them. Loud booming sounds that kept me up at night would put me on edge.

I was looking at a map and I noticed that Clintonville is almost the exact same latitude as the town of Lindsey where the weird lights have been appearing over the past several years. They are almsot completely even on a map and not very far from one another. It's probably just a coincidence but I thought it was kind of interesting. Strange lights are sometimes reported to be related to earthquakes and underground seismic activity. Could the lights have been a foretelling of the earthquakes that are now beginning to appear in that area? Anything is possible.

I sort of felt this would be a very interesting year Sky and I think it's going to wake up a lot more. My spidey senses are saying that it's all movement forward to an event and I think too mother nature's gong to do a bit more fussing than it has before. More weather shifts and more intense movements. It's pretty much a bummer to see things happening but not to know exactly where it's going with it

This is the second video I have gotten of this noise, as before...it sounds like a jet hovering around the house for a while then vanishes. It was at just before 1am in Oklahoma City on March 20th 2012. My camera ran out of room before I could finish recording, but I have another video from a different camera that I started recording with that gets it abruptly stopping. I also have a 3rd video from the same evening that recorded the second time this happened early morning on 3/20/12. Don't know if this is some aircraft they are testing out, or maybe due to solar flares or storms, I just know that I only ever hear this noise late at night and it is random nights, and it is not like any other aircraft noises I hear around my house.

Seismologists say it wasn't an earthquake and Sooke's mayor, Wendal Milne said he doubts it can be attributed to the company responsible for January's blasting as it didn't feel the same...
There is construction nearby at a new business park with heavy equipment and trucks on site. Milne says builders aren't required to report to the municipality when and if they need to blast so he can't say what it may have been. A Sooke mystery, he says."

Earthquake confirmed in Clintonville Mar 22, 2012 3:15 p.m.
The U.S. Geological Survey is confirming a 1.5 magnitude earthquake in Clintonville. It was at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday. Click here for details on the Clintonville earthquake USGS officials tell FOX 11 they are investigating other earthquakes related to the booms and shakes in Clintonville.
A USGS official says this is the lowest magnitude quake he has ever heard of that people actually felt. He says quakes like the one in Clintonville happen all the time in California and people never feel them. He credits Wisconsin's rocks.
The City of Clintonville is holding a news conference tonight to discuss the new information. It will be at the high school at 6 p.m. It is open to the public. You can watch a live stream on fox11online.com.
Residents have been hearing explosion-like sounds since Sunday.

I have two issues with the earthquake explanation. 1). When the sounds were first happening, city officials contacted those tracking seismic activity (I assume the USGS but it was never specified). City officials were told repeatedly that no seismic activity occurred in the area. Now, they say that they went back and looked again and then saw activity. Um, you couldn't see it at the time, but now you do? 2). These noises only occurred at night. Some were heard in the morning, but nothing after 9am. What earthquake is time dependent? My thoughts on the noises (and they are mine alone) is that this was some type of geological event, but not an earthquake. What was causing it? I don't think we will ever know. I think once these sounds made the national news someone was pressured to come up with an explanation.

I heard a boom last night in our house too, it scared me so bad I thought one of the parents had fallen out of bed or something so I went running to their room. Both were sound asleep under the covers... it literally shook the whole house and sounded like a BOOM! Almost like an explosion... very strange indeed... like the heating ducts under the floor were reverberating the vibration of whatever it was... First thing I thought too. Maybe an earthquake but there was no shaking afterwards... hmm...

THE HUM IN CANADA Published on May 24, 2012 by UpNorthOfThe49th My neighbor and I noticed how awesome the sky looked so I thought I would record it. Currently we are having a CP Rail strike so there are no trains running anywhere in the Province. I noticed after I recorded the strange clouds that the sound was also strange. I went out into the country to see if I could pick up the sounds there. The wind picked up so much I could not hear them. The sky was like it was on fire. I wish I could have recorded the clouds with the red trim out in the country. They were very eerie. Like a hanging garden of color.
Strange Sound in Fairfax, VA-Second Night Published on May 25, 2012 by FlyingOverTr0ut This city is trying to drive me crazy. Last night, a low frequency pulsing sound was hurting my head and ears around 1:10 AM. To top of this turd of a cake, I woke up to guys using lawnmowers and weed wackers on the lawn. This has more to do with the fact that I sleep until 10 AM than the fact that they make a lot of noise, but still. I had my camera pointed to a dark corner wall to best get the sound from the direction it seemed to be coming. The more I think about these weird noises the more I think they have something to do with whatever the government is doing underground. At least some of them do. There are other explanations for some of them but I still think there is something going on down there that they don't want anybody to know about.
The noise on that video from Virgina sounded kind of like a white noise machine. White noise is used to drown out other noises. Could the underground workers be broadcasting white noise to mask the sound of whatever it is that they are really doing?

That Belgium video sounds like the other creepy noises recorded elsewhere in the world... But the two Aunty was kind enough to post before it sound to me like: 1) The wind 2) A fan But that's what my ears are interpreting the noises as... that doesn't mean that's what it is...

The reports came in from people in Calhoun, Branch and Kalamazoo Counties. People from all over say they felt and heard it, but Newschannel Three has only heard of one case of actual damage happening during the same time. John Nieuwenhuis, who lives in Oshtemo, says that he felt and heard the explosion, which shook his entire house. "Where the two trees are parallel and something completely scrapped both trees off at the same height and laid them to the west," said Nieuwenhuis. Nieuwenhuis called the fire department but after extensively searching, they couldn't find the source of an explosion. "I've never seen anything like this, we cut down trees, we log trees and what could have taken this down I have no idea," said Nieuwenhuis. Newschannel Three tried to search into what might have caused the explosions but, it was a clear night and there was no earthquake activity reported anywhere in the Midwest. Air Traffic Control in Kalamazoo says no planes were in the area that might have broken the sound barrIER. www.infowars.com/eyewitness-mysterious-booms-return-to-wisconsin/ Eyewitness: Mysterious Booms Return To Wisconsin “Like someone slamming the earth with a big machine” Paul Joseph Watson Infowars.com Tuesday, July 24, 2012 Mysterious booms that plagued several towns in Wisconsin earlier this year appear to have returned, with an eyewitness reporting hearing the strange noises repeatedly over a 30 minute period last night. The booms, described as a rumbling noise coming from deep underground, stoked intrigue earlier this year and a US Geological Survey investigation after being reported over several weeks in the town of Clintonville. The strange noises were also heard and felt in Baraboo and Montello. The USGS eventually concluded that the booms were caused by an unusual “swarm” of earthquakes that hit a region not noted for its seismic activity. However, a separate seisometer study conducted when the booms briefly returned following the conclusion of the USGS inquiry found that the sounds were not being caused by earthquakes. Despite the fact that a number of residents rejected the earthquake explanation, noting that the booms were reported before the first earthquake was measured, the story disappeared when the booms ceased. However, the phenomenon appears to have returned with a Wisconsin resident telling us how they experienced a series of sustained booms last night over a period of half an hour. “I live about 60 miles from Baraboo and my family and I heard some booms last night just a little after 1am,” writes Shawn McConaghy “Sound and shaking didnt appear to be from the same central point…it was weird! It went on for 30 minutes or so and we heard about 20 booms. To me they sounded like someone slamming the earth with a big machine,” added McConaghy, noting that the booms also sounded like “a giant walking” “We live out in the country and i’m not aware of anyone else hearing it,” he adds. Over the last year, there have been a rash of reports concerning strange noises heard both underground and in the sky. www.ufodigest.com/node/4316 Loud Booms Still Mystify Californians!By Dirk Vander Ploeg September 01, 2012 Publisher's Note: Read this story in Timothy Green Beckley weekly newsletter from www.conspiracyjournal.com. Dirk People from all over El Dorado County California say they’re hearing loud booms several times a week, but there are many theories on what is causing them. “I thought it was thunder,” said one person. “It’s definitely not thunder; too consistent. I thought it was just mining,” said another person. “I always considered them to be sonic booms from flying aircrafts for years,” said Loring Brunius, owner of Sierra Rock Diamond Quarry. People who live near Pleasant Valley say their days have been interrupted by loud booms, shaking the floor beneath them. “You can feel it in the ground, no question about it. But no one’s been able to figure out why,” said Pleasant Valley resident Peter O’Grady. “I tend to hear somewhere between four to six of these things during the weekdays usually between 11 p.m. and 2 p.m. “Boom, boom, boom, boom just like that,” said Lorren Gonzales, who lives near Pleasant Valley. And the rolling foothills of El Dorado County make it difficult for them to even tell where it’s coming from. We asked the owner of Sierra Rock Diamond Quarry what he knew about it. He says they havent blasted since last year. And any miners or quarry owners would need government permission before they can set off any explosives. “It’s a federally mandated system, and enforced,” said Brunius. Some think the booms are from nearby wineries using propane cannons to scare away birds. “We’ve never done it and I don’t know of any other winery that does,” said Carrie Bendick, a winemaker at Holly’s Hill Winery.
