navajopeople.org/blog/navajo-medicine-men-singers/This touches on the subject I have asked about, here on TEOR. I don't know why I always thought this was involving the Aboriginals of Australia; probably because of the "mystical" quality attached to the people. I'm a bit mystified myself that whenever I asked about this, no one seemed to tell me it was our very own people. ?? Was this a "secret" until recently?

We are not trusted outsiders to talk of such things with. The Church (Catholic, Anglican, Church of England dissenters (puritans) et al) punished those who spoke of, much less practised the old ways. And all shamanistic traditions have knowledge and techniques that are only taught to the adepts seeking to enter into a life of being a wise man, shaman, witch-doctor, etc.

Maybe you remember another life. Maybe you read an article somewhere - there's not a total blackout of things mystical. We "know about" Navaho sand paintings but don't understand how they are used. One hint - rebalancing - no sandpainting is the same as another and they done for healing a particular person. Does that mean that there aren't pictures of them in books? There are. Even though when completeed, like the Buddhists' mandala made out of sand, they are swept away and returned to the desert sand.

Or the possibilities of astral travel, including remote viewing. I feel like someone told me about it. Like it was a "private" bedtime story, told to me by an elderly relative, with much love and care and enough description to fill a child's imagination with longing; almost able to picture the scene(s) described. I have this same feeling on other unusual knowledge.
