Found a picture online that depicts my UFO encounter when I was a kid. The moon was in a similar position and everything, and the size of the object was the exact same relative to the moon. The distance the object is from the observers is the same as well. The only difference is I wasn't able to see an outline of the craft, just a light, and my sighting was over the water. Other than that it is pretty much dead on.

Anyways, that's it. Same exact deal. Just happened to stumble on it when I was surfing through Google images.

So what you saw was a really bright light? What color was it? Or was it about the same as the photo? Did it move at all?

Very bright light, same temp as the picture. No movement. I woke up from a dead sleep to see this thing in the window right next to the moon like the pic. It just went out like a large spotlight turning off, faded very quickly but it was like a bright bulb fading our, it wasn't instant. After that I became obsessed with UFOs and aliens, this was before the internet, and there always seemed to be synchronicity surrounding the subject. Like I would turn on the TV and there would be a show describing a UFO similar to what I saw. I also felt like I was being watched, and a couple times at least I swear there was something in the house. Example, I woke up from a dead sleep to hear someone or something messing with the computer in the study down the hall from my room. Sounded like typing. Thinking it was my mom up late, I peaked down the hall only to see everything pitch black. Needless to say I was terrified to say the least, especially being around eight or nine years old.

Yes, this was back in the early 90s with DOS computers, ribbon printers and no Internet... Floppy disk drive and all, and I'm talking the big floppy disks.
