My daughter, as you guys may remember is a big time ice skater. She was noticed by a loca Riddell skate rep, and was just approached to do a photo shoot to be their poster child. Well, one thing lead to another and now she is being approached to audition for small roles, and commercials. You may see my little girl on TV here very soon. Just had to post this because I'm EXTATIC.

Congratulations! How cool! And I'm thinking that she really wants to do it, too?! I don't think I have to tell you to keep a close eye! One of the positive experiences for me, was doing some modelling as a teenager. Nothing bad happened! I wish her the best! And keep it "fun"!

Thank you guys so much for the positive feedback.
JC, my dad grew up in LA, and is good friends with Cliff de Young. Not a household name by any means, but is on a first name basis with Reese Witherspoon, and was in her recent movie, Wild.
You brought up his biggest point when we told him her dream was to be on TV, was ensure SHE wants to. He was so encouraging and made it very clear it really isn't a pie in the sky, pipe dream. Just like with any other sport or trade, some people have natural talent that makes it easier for them to succeed, but the key is a humble attitude, hard work and moving from the bottom to the top just like anything else.
His advice is my motto, which is the ones that make it don't look at it as though they're born the best and entitled to success, rather they will outwork their competition to become the best. So true.
As far as keeping an eye out, having been in sales most of my adult life, I have unfortunately dealt with my fair share of real deal psychopaths, and can spot a wolf in sheeps clothing from a mile away. Two circumstances where I won't hesitate to kill is obviously if my family or my life is in immediate danger.
My schooling background is in psychology and law, and am a boarder line psychological profiler. I'm also 6ft 1"@ 220lbs, with a concealed weapons permit, which exudes an aura that literally has sociopaths and psychopaths avoid me at all cost.
Anyone that has experience in firearms knows the idea is to deescalate at all costs, always avoid confrontation, and only use a firearm as an absolute last resort. So I don't advertise that as, nobody better mess with me. However, just knowing I have it should sh** really hit the fan, and knowing how I react in life threatening situations, as I have been in two, definitely turns the volume down in situations where most would panic. People sense that in me, and appreciate it for the most part. I'm not a Veteran, however did have to get treatment for PTSD from one of those incidents. ( I highly recommend EMDR, even for other highly emotional events anyone may have been through our are going through. Cutting edge, and very effective treatment. ).
I am now happily the guy who let's the upset jerk cut me off, without even a slight grrrrr, ignores the threatening glare and flex from the roid head, walk away without feeling like a coward when physically confronted, slowly and without your back turned mind you and know I would be one of the guys you hear about in the news who kept his cool during a major event, and helped the panicked majority to safety. Butttt I digress as usual...
This in fact inspired me to write a little essay on "How to spot a psychopath / psychopathology 101" Post coming right up as I feel my little Internet family should be prepared on how to spot, deal, and avoid these guys.
Will keep you posted on my daughter's progress though. " Team Challenge Cup 2016" is in our city this year, and she was chosen for a post show routine. I'll be sure to post that, and also her skill level soon. Her dedicated mother / my amazing wife takes her twice a day minimum for one to three hour ice time sessions, and she is AMAZING. Obviously, I am very proud of her, but I think you guys would be proud of me and how humble she is about her talents and skills. I heard a self made billionaire answer what his biggest turn off in people is. His answer? EGO
