I can think of a few that should be on this list. I had never heard of the Black Dog mystery before .. who here has?

Most of the things on that list were just generalizations...UFOs, ghosts, etc...so I wonder why they put the black dog on there when it is a specific case that only occurs in one small area? I heard about the black dog last year when I went up to Connecticut the run a marathon in Hartford. I went hiking in the mountains afterward and the story of the dog was in one of the trail guides I was reading. I kept my eyes open hoping to see it but it never showed up. Oh, well. Maybe next time.

The black dog is like the story of 'the white lady' that almost every town has. In fact Patrick Swazye did a movie called ' Black Dog' (he experienced hallucinations about 'the black dog'). A lot of the stories are campfire tales meant to be fun and they sprout into urban legends

I like Patrick Swayze but I never heard of a movie called The Black Dog. When did it come out? I liked the Ghost movie the best. Dirty Dancing was really good too. And Roadhouse and Next of Kin were cool also. Did i ever tell you my story about the black ghost dog I saw? I think I told it already. i don't remember.

The black ghost dog I saw happened when I was out hunting. I was sneaking through the woods when this big black dog came running up to me. He was real friendly and wagging his tail then he ran back into the woods. A while later he came running out again but this time he was mean and barking and growling like he was gonna bite me. I was worried I might have to shoot him but i didn't want to because he was just a dog. I don't like to shoot poor old dogs. I was trying to back away from him but I tripped over a tree so i turned around to see what was behind me. When I turned back the dog was gone! It just disappeared! That's how I know it was a ghost dog. There's no way it could have ran away wityhout me seeing it. It just vanished without a trace!

I would add synchronicity. This could be a variety of ESP (not really mentioned). You are thinking of someone and the phone rings - and its them. You PICK UP the phone to call someone and they are in the process of placing a call to you. One happened to me last weekend. We traveled on a car ferry from our island to "the mainland" of BC - it costs 80$ each way. We went to the food area and had breakfast then left and sat somewhere else. I was 7/8 asleep when my mind said, "Purse!"
No purse anywhere near me - had I left it in the food area? Was it still there!! (mounting panic). I walked over to the cashier and said, "Did anyone turn in a black bag - I'm Paulette....and you can check the ID." The women was holding a microphone in her hand. She was a second away from making an announcement about the lost bag. She just looked at me and handed it to me.
This is a normal event for me. Normal is what happens most often.

That sort of thing is normal for me too. Deja vous is also normal for me. Whenever I have Deja vous, I tell myself I am on the right path in life. That is how I look at it. They are milestones for my life journey which were implanted into my mind before I was born. One very memorable incident of Deja Vous happened when I started working at the library at the local university. I had been to the university before, but only to the fire arts building for music class field trips in high school middle school and elementary school. I had never set foot in the campus library before I took the job as a student assistant. And yet, when I walked into my boss's office (the first day), she was looking for a stamp, rummaging around in drawers of her desk and muttering to herself. She looked up at me and asked, "Do you see a stamp anywhere?" Deja vous. I remembered myself taking the stamp out of a particular drawer in her desk. I walked over, opened the drawer and handed her the stamp that was inside of it. She stared at me, and shook her head. "Don't ask me how I knew that..." I said. She just continued to shake her head. lol...

That is a cool story. It reminds me of a dog I saw once a long time ago. It wasn't black but it only had three legs. It was standing in the shadows under a tree watching me as I walked by. When I got past him I turned around and looked for him but he was gone. I have no idea where he went.
