www.airspacemag.com/daily-planet/when-did-alien-sightings-turn-alien-abductions-180967397/?utm_source=smithsoniandaily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=20171207-daily-responsive&spMailingID=32129837&spUserID=NzQwNDU1ODQzNzkS1&spJobID=1180950853&spReportId=MTE4MDk1MDg1MwS2This article's premise is that as we got more sophisicated (and the average person knew about egg harvesting and surrogate parenting) that the stories changed. However Betty and Barney Hill were abducted and had invasive things done to them in 1961. Not sure many of us knew about egg harvesting then - maybe cattle breeders because they sent valuable high end cattle fetuses in less valuable cows. Maybe even not cows. I forget the details. Once again, a seemingly scientific article has a strong bias that is given a reasonable enough explaination of why these accounts are unlikely. Or and that trauma responses are now recognized and accepted as real now. I don't know how traumatized Betty and Barney were. She particularly sure talked about their experiences a lot. I always wondered if her family thought she was nuts. Or if they had already formed that opinion because she was one of a very few Caucasian/white women who married a black man. (They seemed to have a good marriage from what I've read). Myself, having grown up in the Southern USA know that going public about being with her husband and having an unpresidented experience was NOT TYPICAL BEHAVIOR. I would guess that they were are risk from those who didn't approve of them being together. But anyway...Yet another article.
