I am, as some of you know, a person holding dual citizenship - USA and Canada. What is happening in The USA is breaking my heart. I won't get into the politics AT ALL but suffice to say, I don't want to be there, visit there...I have friends and my son who live there but I'm not happy providing myself as an inadvertant target to unpleasantness at the border or even putting my hard earned Canadian money into the situation down there. I always considered it my home but I don't anymore. I am horrified at things that I see reported in the news. I hope the elections today change things but I have my doubts. (I'm more than willing to be wrong). Thinking of Texas, and my remaining friends there, and the island where I grew up, just gives me a heartache.
Since a lot of people here seem to hold the red line - approving of actions that the President is taking (and not taking)- I need to distance myself from you, my EOR companions.I think that my story has been told (UFO wise) and I don't read about new ones. I'll ghost back ocassionally but I think (especially if Trump carries on and on) that you won't be hearing from me. I hope I can stay in touch with a few on FB.

The news media is blowing everything out of proportion so they can promote their political agenda, most of which happens to be anti-trump. They want people to believe that everything is going to hell so they can get him out of office and their own people back in power. The real life situation on the ground ain't all that different than it was four, six or eight years ago. The economy is a little bit better but there isn't rampant racism or discrimination or riots in the streets. I still live in Texas just like I always have and it's still the wonderful place it's always been. People shouldn't let their world view be skewed by the actions of a few political extremists who happen to get front page headlines.
I don't think trump is any different from any other politician except for the fact that he isn't being polished and protected like most other politicians are. He doesn't have people double-checking and approving every word he writes or says, he doesn't have people telling him how to behave, what to eat, or what suit and tie looks best for the photographers. Trump is what he is. I think a lot of other politicians and celebrities are just as crude and uncouth as he is, they just do a good job of hiding it so ordinary people never see who they really are underneath all the glitz and glamour and propaganda.
Not that I'm making excuses for him or anything. I'm just pretty much sick of all politicians regardless what side they claim to be on.

As usual, I need clarification. 😖 ________________________
Let’s make note of the following:
“5.[8] Barack Obama used the phrase on August 20, 2012, during the Syrian civil war in relation to chemical weapons,[9] saying that "We have been very clear to the Assad regime, but also to other players on the ground, that a red line for us is we start seeing a whole bunch of chemical weapons moving around or being utilized. That would change my calculus. That would change my equation."[10][2]
In the US, the phrase then became a source of contention when political opponent John McCain said the red line was "apparently written in disappearing ink," due to the perception the red line had been crossed with no action.[5][2] On the one year anniversary of Obama's red line speech the Ghouta chemical attacks occurred. Obama then clarified "I didn't set a red line. The world set a red line when governments representing 98 percent of the world's population said the use of chemical weapons are abhorrent and passed a treaty

AND ________________ “The Authorization for the Use of Military Force Against the Government of Syria to Respond to Use of Chemical Weapons (S.J.Res 21) is a United States Senate Joint Resolution that would have authorized President Barack Obama to use the American military to intervene in the ongoing Syrian Civil War. The bill was filed by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on September 6, 2013 in a specially scheduled pro forma Senate session that took place during the last week of the August recess.[1] The bill would have authorized only 60 days of military action, with ....... ________________ THAT Harry Reid ? “Holding the red line”
OR
“Crossing the red line”
To Me, can be inflammatory In 2 entirely different ways.
I would much rather, Paulette, that you would talk only about yourself, and how you feel about certain things happening. That’s the kind of clarification I need.
A “blanket statement”, of your opinion, about people’s ideals and attitudes; natch- people that care for you and support You, sounds very similar to the same type of treatment, that I AM AGAINST
I HAVE FAMILY LIVING IN TEXAS FOR MANY YEARS. I HAVE FAMILY THAT HAVE BEEN CALLED TO TEXAS (as military) IN THE LAST YEAR, AND THE LAST 3 MONTHS. I HAVE SPANISH FRIENDS THAT MOVED FROM TEXAS TO MISSOURI IN THE LAST 15 YEARS.
I have said that people around me are comparing the current issues to “the Vietnam war”. These are disabled veterans that were drafted into that war, and were “heckled” by high school friends when they came home injured. How did those “eligible” friends manage to stay home??
Last but not least, I cannot speak for anyone but myself, but when I HEAR THE PHRASE, the “Red Line”, it makes me think of the “REDS”. It just does. STALIN and HITLER (whether correct identification or not) comes to mind. Another war.
Thank You, Skywalker, and others, for this place to express my angst and amazement at the things people say.
What would I do without you?
(oh, probably not feel so “comfortable” praying out loud...... 😉)
Maybe you guys have heard all I ever have to share about this “ufoe phenomenon”. Maybe not.
I miss You every time you are “gone” Paulette 😌. And always look forward to hearing from you again 🤗
😘❤️

Very well stated. I voted for Pres Trump, but I knew that he's an as.shole, I learned that by watching his TV show 0.5 times. He is a 'citizen president', what ya see is what ya got. I like that a lot better than all those polished talking-heads that we have no idea who they are because we can't see their thinking.
I call the Republicans "Reptilicans" (although I like them marginally better than) the Democrats (thanks to Swampy), heh heh, "Donky Rats"!!
As you say, they are all bad, stinky, licentious, deceitful, lying sacks of cesspool flushings.

A very real problem in the US is the large number of judges who create law from the bench. Law schools are teaching now that is no real reason for congress and elections by the people. Judges can create law as they go along over ruling actions by the President and anyone else on whimsy. Thus you have potentially a large body of tyrants acting as they see fit with out regard to any other law other than which they create themselves. Many times you see some unknown unelected judge over ruling the President Since when does a petty tyrant have more power than the President. Put a tank in his court room and ask him to repeat that again. The tip of the tail is waging the dog. Judges are altering the country based on whimsy not the law. They are creating law themselves without regard to congress or any one else Judges will open up our borders to the caravans coming in limitless numbers from Central America 5,000,000 people in Central America now intend to come here seeing that the marchers are likely to get in due to the petty tyrants infesting our legal system EAch immigrant chain migrates 3.5 more family members so 17.500,000 more could be chain migrated to the US. Most all with little education and poor job skills As the old song goes Everything is free in America

This is a verbatim copy of an article published in the Los Angeles Times' San Fernando Valley edition of the "Daily News". I don't know the precise date as my gal cut it out for me and tossed the remainder of the newspaper page having the date printed on it! I suspect that it was printed around Nov 15th, 2018 or thera abouts?
Mexico Tijuana protesters chant 'Out' at migrants by Yesica Fisch and Amy Guthrie The Associated Press
Tijuana, Mexico >> Hundreds of Tijuana residents congregated around a monument in an affluent section of the city sourth of California on Sunday to protest the thousands of Central American migrants who have arrived via caravan in hopes of a new life in the U.S.
Tensions have built as nearly 3,000 migrants from the caravan poured into Tijuana in recent days after more than a month on the road, and with many more months ahead of the them while they seek asylum. The federal government estimates the number of micrants could soon swell to 10,000.
U.S. border inspectors are processing only about 100 asylum claims a day at Tijuanan's main crossing to San Diego. Asylum seekers register their names in a tattered notebook managed by migrants themselves that had more than 3,000 names even before the caravan arrived.
On Sunday, displeased Tijuana residents waved Mexican flags, sang the nationonal anthem and chanted "Out! Out!" in front of a statue of the Aztec ruler Cuauhtemoc, 1 mile from the U.S. border. They accused the migrants of being messy, ungrateful and a danger to Tijuana. They also complained about how the carvan forced its way into Mexico, calling it an "invasion." And they voiced worries that their taxes might be spent to care for the group. "We don't want them in Tijuana," protesters shouted.
Juana Rodriguez, a housewife, said the government needs to conduct background checks on the migrants to make sure they don't have criminal records.
A woman who gave her name as Paloma lambasted the migrants, who she said they came to Mexico in search of handouts. "Let their government take care of them," she told video reporters covering the protest.
A block away, fewer than a dozen Tijuana residents stood with signs of support for the migrants. Keyla Zamarron, a 38-year-old teacher, said the protesters don't represent her way of thinking as she held a sign saying: Chidhood has no borders.
Most of the migrants who have reached Tijuana via caravan in recent days set out more than a month ago from Honduras, a country of 9 million people. Dozens of migrants in the caravan who have been interviewed by Associated Press reporters have said they left country after death threats.
But the journey has been hard and many have turned around.
Alden Rivera, the Honduran ambassador in Mexico, told the AP on Saturday that 1,800 Hondurans have returend to their country since the caravan first set out on Oct. 13, and that he hopes more will make that decision. "We want them to return to Honduras," said Rivera.

Why were you in the horsepital for 3 months? You ain't killing over from old age are you? :-/
SkyWalker,
I've been out of the hospital about a month and 22 days.
I was diagnosed having gall-bladder stones. Supervising surgeon (did not actually do any surgery) misdiagnosed the extent of the complete surgery. It was supposed to be a one day laporascopic (drill a quarter size coin hole, stick in a Mr. Go-Go Gadget rod hand with all sorts of utensils on the end + camera, snip, clamp, pull it out) surgery, released to return home the next. Only, somebody screwed up, and gave me a blood thinner five days early, which caused me to uncontrollably bleed out, internally. I ended up in ICU for a month, coding 'blue' four times. ICU Nurse told me later that in her 7 years ICU experience that I was diceyiest patient she had cared for...meaning I nearly died a bunch of times. To get things under control they implanted a pacemaker because they couldn't give me my normal heart meds (I had two open heart valve repair surgeries 1991 & 1992. The first was unsucessful.) After a month the Drs moved me into a lesser care ward, but was still very good care. Then the infections began, another month of constant anti-biotics, and then another surgery to fix the infection problem. That one was really nasty. They cut my stomach open, slitting me down the middle.
Being in bed for 6 days shy of 3 months, I lost the ability to sit up and walk. For nearly three months I was fed chicken broth when I wasn't being fed intraveneously...via drip. I lost 90 lbs.
I then expended almost four weeks in physical rehab. Those folks were excellent, I made lasting friends with several of them. They got me walking with a cane, it was really difficult and they worked my as.s off!!! It was so worth it. I am now walking well without the cane and driving my car (when it works) and going shopping... Its great to be on the mend and to be free!!!
<sigh>
Its been a helluva year so far. My gal has MS and has lost usage of her legs in the three months that I was absent. The family, swooped in, using my resources, hired home-care 'givers', three guys, that are costing me $9500 a month to basically feed 3x, and wipe my gals butt, five times a day. I plan to lay them all off just as soon as my stomach surgery site heals sufficiently so that I can lift her. We are not wealthy, and its draining our retirement funds, because no insurance company in California would insure a person having MS to provide long term in-home health care. When I met her way back when, she was working for a NASA contractor, in Space-Shuttle Main Engine QA and she was a member of a professional dance group. MS is terrible nasty.
I bought a three function bidet' toilet for my gal. It washes, dries, and auto-flushes...no TP needed or required. It is sitting in the living room waiting for the plumber that I contracted to install it. Only one little hitch, his home/office is in Topanga Canyon, which is still under mandatory evacuation caused by the Woosley fires that are still raging in California. The plumber is holed up in a hotel without any tools!!! There's been talk that the authorities (what ever that means?) may allow folks to return home in Topanga Cyn this weekend.
Well...probably more information than you cared to know. However, being in the horse-pistol for three months, and having nurses wiping my butt has altered my thinking somewhat!! I've toyed with the notion of uploading the photos of my balls (which became the size of mangos, as I swelled up via water retention to 300Lbs. My normal weight is around 190Lb) and a photo of my stomach a few days after the fourth surgery. But it might make some folks puke!! My stomach was appalling. They didn't stitch it up, no. The slit began just below the sternum, going straight down, snugged around the belly-button, and stopped just above the 'panty' line!! They closed that foot and 1/2 long slit by putting in six staples, everything else was open to the air. One could see guts...the intestines through the openings. That healing procedure is known as 'open-to-air', and it has actually closed by itself and is healing quite well. But it marks the end of my bathing suit modeling career!!! Hee hee hee.
I was keeping weight trim using the Atkins Diet, which I suspect was the cause of the gall-stones. My matabolism changed when I was around 30yro, before I was able to eat anything and gain little weight, now, I look at a pizza, I grow a bit!!! So now having no gall bladder I must eat rabbit food **AND** exercise. Weight is just a function of the quantity of food we shove into our face and how much we shake our as.s.
Well that's the long and short of it.
plutronus ps. I'll be the guest on KCOR Internet Radio next monday should anyone care to listen to more of my babbling.

Thank You for not posting the pictures! 😄 My imagination works just “fine” (beyond fine) with your wanted (*I wanted) descriptions! 😁😊
SO thankful you are alive and we both know that there MUST BE ONE HECK OF A REASON to be so (because a aaaa at one or two points in there, you would be forgiven for wanting to die).
Also glad to hear about your gal..... always concerned about her too. ❤️
You guys are “tough”. ❤️❤️
Yes, I NOW know about all that out of pocket expense for people who NEED THERAPY (and more!) after loss of any limbs ~OR~ bodily functions. I am so disturbed by it 😖. A “heart” patient (my dad) can get outpatient rehab for a year paid for by insurance after heart surgery, but he gets a “brain bleed”, makes it out of the hospital, and gets in-home rehab supplemented, for maybe 3 weeks. AND, he can still walk (minimal with a walker, of course), though he falls every day...... people that totally lose the ability to walk? It’s like your insurance gives up on you!
Now, that doesn’t make ANY SENSE!! They depend on You to stay alive to continue getting payments from you!! A “payment” every month- however they get it- from a bizillion people 🤫
