Our government has so many secret groups it would amaze you. And no one knows what any of them are for. No good is what I think.

They've been around for a long time..fear isn't going to help a thing. If Harold is right the world is going to end Oct 21'st..if not there's always the 2012 doomsday groupies. I don't think the Illuminati are anything we need to worry about. I think making sure we do the best we can by friends and family each day is much more important than worrying about conspiracies or power moguls.

Jokelly,
Personally i think the Illuminati is something we need to worry about, I mean, Supposedly these people are very very evil and they infiltrate all areas of real power around the world. These people want you and i dead, I think its more than a conspiracy, i think this stuff is real and its coming close

The Illuminati need people as much as any power organization does..we 'peons' are the ones who keep the machinery running so to speak. There have always been factions of power...and I believe there has always been a group (not necessarily the Illuminati) behind the government..I think more in terms of the Builderberg Group.. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bilderberg_GroupThey seem to be content to be the real power behind everything else and because they are the wealthy..they succeed at it. They're interesting to read about too. I'm more of the belief though..that if I move from this stage of life to the next..then it was my time to move on and up and there can only be exciting things ahead

When we talk about the New World Order what exactly is it people are referring to? I looked it up in Wikipedia and the description was something like this... "The common theme in conspiracy theories about a New World Order is that a secretive power elite with a globalist agenda is conspiring to eventually rule the world through an authoritarian world government—which replaces sovereign nation-states—and an all-encompassing propaganda that ideologizes its establishment as the culmination of history's progress."To me that sounds a lot like what the Communist/Socialist movement is all about. They want to take over the world and exercise total control over everything with a strong centralized government. It has already been tried repeatedly during the past century and people are still trying to achieve world domination now. They have been trying to implement this New World Order for a long time, they just haven't succeeded. They will continue to try. Power attracts people who crave power and totalitarian world domination would mean unlimited power. There will always be people trying to implement that plan. The only part I'm not sure I agree with is the idea of the Illuminati, or any other shadow group being in control of it. I'm sure there are a few very wealthy and powerful people who are making key decisions in this plot to take over the world but I don't believe they belong to any secret group. I think that Communism, (or socialism, totalitarianism, Marxism, etc...) is more like an ideological religion than anything. Communism is their religion and the government is their God, and as such can do no wrong. They truly believe that if the government had total control over everything (with themselves in control of the government) then they could make everything perfect. I think they really believe that the world would be a perfect Utopian society if they could just be in control of it. They really believe they are doing it for the good of mankind. Never mind the fact that it has failed miserably every time it has ever been tried. they are not about to let a minor little detail like that stop them. They probably would not even acknowledge it. If these idiots ever do manage to implement their scheme to take control of the entire world I predict there will be suffering and depredation on an unprecedented scale. We have already seen what happened when they tried it in Germany, the USSR and a few other places. Tens of millions of people were murdered by their own governments...and that was only in each individual country. Imagine that being multiplied by the entire world and you can see what a potential disaster it would be. I sincerely hope this NWO plot never succeeds.

'New World Order' kind of depends on who's. Several factions are conspiracy favorites in the establishment of a new world order. The Illuminati (gained in popularity since the movies and book by Dan Brown..Angels and Demons). Before that..not many were even aware of the Illuminati. Then there are the Freemasons...who are out to start their own government and new world order (that one I know is BS..my husband is a Mason). The Builderberg Group the Fourth Reich and invasion by aliens are all favorites depending on which one you have an interest in. Actually...my very favorite is the Builderberg group..made up of the wealthiest people in the world..they get together and have meetings..they exist and people know they exist..just not exactly what their agenda is. A list of members is interesting and rather intimidating reading : I believe most countries are represented, big business and more. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Bilderberg_attendeesthis article on New World Order conspiracies is also pretty interesting reading. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_World_Order_(conspiracy_theory)Someone somewhere is always plotting to 'take over' the world..there will always be fear of it but can you really live any kind of a normal life if you're worried about the evil possibilities that might or might not..happen? Speculation is ok..as long as it doesn't become obsession I think..and that pretty much sums up how I feel about the entire UFO thing too. Opinion..conjecture...speculation...all we have. I might have had an encounter but it didn't tell me a thing about who or what or why. We're all entitled to our beliefs.. I've shaved mine into something I can live with Most of the time

I think these kinds of struggles have been going on since the dawn of mankind, but the "real" change is more of an evolutionary one. Jo is right; any clandestine "group" feeds off of the masses. Once control reaches intolerable levels, revolution ensues. Just look at the unrest currently in the Middle East. To me, the "New World Order" is the ultimate "coming together" of the nations of the world under one general government or under a significant "common cause". This may occur as "business evolution", or it may occur abruptly, due to some event (such as the arrival of ET, )

Interesting. This seems to be what many (I may even say most) americans believe...however, if you ask the rest of the world, they would say that is exactly what America is all about.... GOD

Hello there God and welcome to the forum. The rest of the world does tend to have opinions of us that we don't necessarily share. Bless them though..it doesn't prevent many of them from accepting financial aid (which I still think might be better served at home). Personally I think I will: Eat plenty of carrots Adopt a chicken Join the spiritual movement Refrain from politics Evade conspiracy theories And make a stronger effort to remember the golden rule. I walked out onto my balcony a bit ago and looked around at the scene I look at every day. I was wondering what it would be like to look out and see..an ocean or a brand new mountain..something new and different. Naturally I'd more than likely keel over from the shock but still...

I personally would would be all for a Star Trekian utopia, but *sigh* I know the current state of humanity would never allow that. Some groups out there could very well be trying to pull strings of government/economies to gain overall control. Yet, I think, the populace would rise up. Maybe that's what these groups may want. Who knows.
Like Jo, I think I would rather focus on home and self rather than what could possibly be. In the mean time, I will continue to add to my emergency stash.

Hey Jo, good to see that some of my creatures still see life with humor and hope...I would suggest though, that you should stay away from spiritual movements. I do... They are way overrated... ...and regarding a new ocean or mountain, I am working on it just for you. Be patient ...I am right now working on a new mountain down in the south of Chile. It will be ready in a couple of months. In the meantime, just get out of your zip code and see all the beauty there is around. It is there for YOU to enjoy. I'll assure you it's way better that thinking about little green guys (or are they gray?) messing up people's lifes. GOD

The population would rise up against them and the people in power would use force to oppress the people just like they always do in countries that are controlled by totalitarian regimes. Millions of people would probably die just like they did in Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. Eventually though the people would prevail just like they always do. Then the cycle would start all over again. It seems that people are doomed to repeat history over and over again because they refuse to learn from it.

I was going to defend the freemasons if they were brought up in the conversation.Usually you dont hear about the illuminati without the masons being brought up also in the same conversation. Wow Jo, your husbands a mason ? thats awesome. Is it alright if I may ask what degree ?The main thing I wanted to bring up about them is that this country probably wouldnt be what it is today if it wasnt for their contributions starting with our founding fathers and even the ideas and movements in other countries before that. Ive heard many different ideas about what or who the illuminati is, or if they still exist.their are organizations that are mysterious and Ive wandered too what theyre up to. like Jo mentioned the bilderburg group, also skull and bones, bohemian group, and older ones such as templars that may or may not still exist. some say the illuminati dont exist anymore but theyre so mysterious its hard to find anything out about them or what many groups represent. As far as new world order is concerned I agree its been in the making and the changes seem to be taking place. Its biblical that itll happen.

I think I might still have my sense of humor. The next time I hear something funny I'll check to see if I laughed at it. The problem is that you talk to yourself too much...so you know the end of all your jokes before you finish telling them. That makes your life boring and less enjoyable. Stop talking to yourself and start listening to what the rest of the world has to say. You'll be surprised how fun life can be... GOD

He's a 3'd degree Touched and he never did pursue it like some do..you're supposed to pick a 'direction' Scottish or York and he never really had the interest to take it further. I think (as with any organization) the reasons for joining often are just camaraderie but everything I've learned of it and what he could tell me..has nothing to do with anything conspiratorial. They are a 'secret' organization. They keep their 'rituals' to themselves (you can find them throughout the net tho) and you have to be asked to join. If anything..I do believe the connection to the Templars. I love stuff like that because there were mannnnnnny things in the past you had to hide from the 'church' in order to stay alive. It builds intrigue and gives birth to a lot of mystery..for me to poke about in

awesome jo ! that makes him a master mason. although I believe the nwo is already in the making, there were mistakes originated long ago concerning the Bavarian illuminati when a couple of authors misquoted the objectives some of the founders had quoted that they represented. This started a tangled web with conspiracy theorys. suggested reading would be "A bavarian illuminati primer", and another oldie but goodie I recommend for added research would be "On the influence attributed to philosophers, freemasons and to the illuminati on the revolution of France "by J.J.Mounier,1801.

Ive tried to find such articles but never do. Bush Senior held meetings also on the subject supposedly.. Fema was Bush Seniors idea. He called it The Big Idea. In his sept.11,1990 (notice the date) toward a new world order speech to a joint sessions of congress, Pres. George H.W. Bush described his objectives for post cold war global governance with post soviet states : quote: "Until now, the world weve known has been a world divided- a world of barbed wire and concrete block, conflict and cold war. Now, we can see A new world coming into view. A world in which there is the real prospect of a new world order. In the words of Winston Churchill,a "world order" in which "the principles of justice and fair play...protect the weak from the strong..." A world where the United Nations, freed from cold war stalemate, is poised to fulfill the historic vision of its founders. A world in which freedom and respect for human rights find a home among all nations..."end quote. This helped spark controversy regarding one world govt. and NWO .

There used to be a little test most teachers did with their kids at one time or another. Whisper something and then see how it ended up 20 kids later. It was never even close to the original. This is what happens with most conspiracies. They start from a statement or someone's theory or some happening. They turn into alien invasions, or groups about to take over the world and kill off the population that doesn't measure up or the date of Armageddon after the invisible comet enters into orbit around the invisible planet that is in orbit around earth. Now you watch that one will be headlines tomorrow LOL

Being a 3rd Degree at you basic "lodge", 32 DEGREE SCOTISH RITE, YORK RITE, ORDER OF KNIGHT TEMPLAR, and more than just slightly knowing about Masonic history, the "Brotherhood" has never been involved in any plot or plan that involved harm to this country, though the Order did split sides during the war from 1861-1865 but quickly did regain a united lodge, though even today the North/South "thing" might be joked about but the inclusion of the "Prince Hall Orer", a black lodge order but rites and ritual like any other white lodge was concerned and some lodges left the state chapter and founded lodge orders on their own.
