My heart is slowly slowly breaking. My life will no longer stay appearing normal no matter how I try. Terry (husband) and I went to the rock club that we have attended for years' Xmas party. I encouraged Terry to find some rock slabs for the gift exchange and he went off to do so. I had cooked some turkey that I used to make gluten free dressing and also gravy. I made a tray of gluten free goodies and bought a gift certificate at a nearby rock shop which I knew would be a useful gift. I did that for me; for us. It is the last social event we still go to. There was a present exchange and Terry got a very cool rock that could be slabbed and I got a "spiritual meanings of gem book" which I immediately donated to the library. When it was time to go, I gathered all our empty dishes and went to the car. Terry came out without his present. He wasn't sure what he had done with it. I went in to retreive it and a woman took me aside and said he had given it away saying, "I don't need any more rocks." When I confronted him he said he didn't know what he had done with it.
It is however exactly what he would have said. He also was telling someone he was selling our rock saws. OUR rock saws.We have not discussed this.
So I left with no present (not the end of the world I realize but I was excited to see it cut.) I left with a husband who LIES when he can't remember what he did (or doesn't want to take responsibility for his actions.) If he had said, "I'm sorry, I didn't realize you wanted it..." It would be over. But he isn't a good apologizer. He lives in Terry world. His response to me was, "Well we have too many rocks!"
So he will not be going with me to the meetings anymore. I will be responsible for myself socially, not him. My world is shrinking to the size of a planet that cannot maintain its atmosphere. I told him in the car, "If they find me standing over your body with a smoking gun, I'll just say what you say - I don't know what happened. I didn't do anything." At that moment he was lucky that I didn't have one (a loaded gun). I now understand why people sometimes shoot people they love or once loved.
Sorry to post this as it has nothing to do with aliens, everything to do with alienation. Nothing to do with drifting by mysterious low flying objects, everything to do with wanting to ride that blue beam up and be taken out of my life.

I dont have much time to listen to music lately but back when I could get the station I used to listen to Radio RSA from JOberg South Africa a short wave broadcast. I listened to Morning Safari with musid and news of the Orange Free State and the world. The music had a unique local twist to it that I liked with local bands playing I dont know if they still broadcast or not.

www.rollingstone.com/music/music-country/linda-ronstadt-cbs-sunday-morning-interview-789524/ Linda Ronstadt Talks Illness, ‘Trio’ Album in Candid ‘CBS Sunday Morning’ Interview Now retired from singing, legendary performer offers observations on several points of her remarkable careerBy Stephen L. Betts / www.rollingstone.com/author/stephen-betts/February 4, 2019 In a touching, funny and inspirational conversation with CBS Sunday Morning’s Tracy Smith, Linda Ronstadt opened up about her battle with Parkinson’s, the disease that robbed fans of Ronstadt’s remarkable singing voice. From the classic rock hits “(Love Is Like a) Heat Wave” and “You’re No Good,” to the acoustic country of “Telling Me Lies” and “To Know Him Is to Love Him,” performed with her Trio partners Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris, Ronstadt’s range as an interpreter and vocal powerhouse earned her membership in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2014. Now 72, with streaks of purple in her light brown hair, Ronstadt revealed that although she can no longer physically sing the songs for which she is well-known, she does have one way to hear herself perform them (it’s not on her million-selling records — she never listens to those). “I can sing in my brain,” she says. “I sing in my brain all the time. It’s not quite the same as doing it physically. There’s a physical feeling in singing that’s just like skiing down a hill. Except better, because I’m not a very good skier.” Although Ronstadt’s humor shines through in the interview, there’s also the poignant revelation that by 2009 she retired from singing because, by that time, what she heard herself doing mostly onstage was “yelling” as her voice faltered. These days, Ronstadt spends much of her time at home reading, a pursuit that has deepened her interest in political affairs. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Ronstadt endorsed Michael Lewis’ bestseller The Fifth Risk. “It’s a great little civics lesson, to start with. It’s a real education in how the Cabinet works and what happens when it does its function, which it’s not doing now,” she said. “The ‘fifth risk’ is incompetence. For instance, the Secretary of Energy was a nuclear scientist, and Trump put in somebody who wasn’t even interested in the reports they prepared to hand over to the new administration. They didn’t even come in for a briefing. The Department of Energy, which I didn’t know before, takes care of all the nuclear weapons. Our nuclear arsenal is in the hands of the Department of Energy.” Ronstadt’s first-ever live album, Live in Hollywood, taped for a 1980 HBO special, was issued last week. The LP collects 12 of the 20 songs performed in the special, many of which have been unreleased in any form until now. www.rollingstone.com/music/music-country/linda-ronstadt-cbs-sunday-morning-interview-789524/0

www.dailygrail.com/2014/03/the-music-of-birds-fractal-dancing/ The music of the birds: a composer made music out of the positions of birds sitting on electrical wiresby Rick MG / www.dailygrail.com/author/rick-mg/When Jarbas Agnelli was reading a newspaper one day, he saw a photo of birds perched on wires. He was immediately struck by how the arrangement of the birds resembled musical notes. So he cut out the photo and composed music. Or rather, the birds did. The result is enchanting. LISTEN: The birds’ bodies were mostly above the wires. So I took them as notes filling the spaces between the lines. Those notes are F, A, C, E and G. If you make a melody or play chords with those 5 notes, there is no way to go wrong. Of course, as I said, I had to decide about some things and make some interpretations. No accidents. 4 by 4 tempo. And the duration of the notes. But I tried to keep it as pure as possible, on the matters of note pitch, note sequence and chords. From the middle of the song on, I embellished the arrangement, playing variations of the theme, on various orchestral instruments, like the oboe, the bassoon and the clarinet. I think the success of the piece comes from all those elements. The idea of birds composing a song. The music itself. The illustrative video. (source) I can only imagine what symphonies are being composed by the fractal dancing of starlings… www.dailygrail.com/2014/03/the-music-of-birds-fractal-dancing/

i've always been a fan of jimmy durante...
WE'RE GOING UFOing
Jimmy Durante made this odd little recording back in 1964. I'm not sure if he intended it to be a "novelty" at the time, but that's how it ended up 40 years later!

mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/11/creedence-clearwater-revivals-john-fogerty-on-ufos-and-his-ufo-song/ Creedence Clearwater Revival’s John Fogerty on UFOs and His UFO Songby Paul Seaburn / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/paulseaburn/November 17, 2019 “Oh, it came out of the sky, landed just a little south of Moline Jody fell out of his tractor, couldn’t believe what he seen Laid on the ground and shook, fearin’ for his life Then he ran all the way to town screamin’ it came out of the sky Well, a crowd gathered ’round and a scientist said it was marsh gas Spiro came and made a speech about raising the Mars tax The Vatican said, “Woe, the lord has come” Hollywood rushed out an epic film And Ronnie the populist said it was a communist plot” — from “It Came Out of the Sky” by Creedence Clearwater Revival You’re a real Creedence Clearwater Revival fan if you recognize those lyrics from “It Came Out of the Sky,” a song written by John Fogerty for the band’s iconic 1969 album, Willy and the Poor Boys. And you’re a true 60’s-era historian if you recognize the actual historical events Fogerty slips into this satirical song. The 60’s were a time of many UFO sightings, including a famous one in 1966 over a farm in Dexter, Michigan, when lights seen hovering and then moving away were blamed on flares caused by burning “swamp gas” — forever linking that phrase to UFO sightings. Michigan’s congressman (and future president) Gerald Ford called for an investigation. Then Vice President Spiro Agnew, who pushed for a Mars landing, later resigned and was convicted of tax evasion (a satirical reference). Then California Governor Ronald “Ronnie” Reagan was known for being a populist and hating communists. And the Vatican was lamenting the sad state of world events as a sign of the apocalypse. However, unlike real-life UFO sightings, Jody is a winner in the song, fending off the media (Walter Cronkite and Eric Sevareid), Washington and Rome. “Oh, the newspapers came and made Jody a national hero Walter and Eric said they’d put him on a network TV show The White House said, “Put the thing in the blue room” The Vatican said, “No, it belongs to Rome” And Jody said, it’s mine but you can have it for seventeen million” — from “It Came Out of the Sky” by Creedence Clearwater Revival While it wasn’t a big hit, (Willie and the Poor Boys also had “Down on the Corner,” “Fortunate Son” and “The Midnight Special”) “It Came Out of the Sky” was well-received critically and got good radio play. John Fogerty left the band in 1972 and has had a solo career that continues today. That’s where journalist George Knapp interviewed him – before a performance in Las Vegas. Fogerty told Knapp he’s been a lifelong sci-fi fan and, while he’s never seen a UFO not encountered an extraterrestrial, he had a recurring childhood dream about flying and a mysterious friend who flew with him (no plane, of course). “I was up over the neighborhood, just flying around, you know, kind of like this. But I had this dream from the time I was 6 until I was about 12. I had the dream over and over and over, and there was always seemed to be a presence, like a person that I was aware of, that I knew a guy, if you will. I didn’t know what to call it.” In “Fortunate Son,” his autobiography, Fogerty writes about his trouble childhood – alcoholic parents who divorced when her was in elementary school and traumatic experiences in a Catholic school. Perhaps the ‘presence’ in his dreams was protecting him – an angel or an ET, as he suggests in his book. Whatever it was, the dreams, sci-fi, the UFOs of the 60’s and the politics of the 60’s all influenced “It Came Out of the Sky.” Thanks again to George Knapp for tracking John Fogerty down. It would be nice if Fogerty sang “It Came Out of the Sky” again. (You can listen to it here.) Or better yet … updated it and THEN sang it. mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/11/creedence-clearwater-revivals-john-fogerty-on-ufos-and-his-ufo-song/
