I was just having a conversation with my parents about how weird it is that I'm having migraines and sleep paralysis during the past few days and about how two of my facebook friends (who also live in my town) also are complaining of headaches and sleep paralysis. My mom said there was an old "Folk Lore" about wind driving people "Crazy" because you see we are having a Chinook now... warm winds driving in warm air, it was -20 and less than 12 hours later it was almost 40 degrees above zero, then it dropped to -8 overnight and now it is 24 above zero. I did some research on the internet and found this article: www.bukisa.com/articles/41488_is-the-wind-driving-you-crazyApparently I can blame the wind for my migraines and sleep paralysis which is supposedly also associated with migraines...

I have read a lot of stories about how people back in the old days living on the Great Plains or in the deserts of the southwest would go nuts sometimes because of the constant howling of the wind.

Yea... that would drive me insane too I think... but what this article says is that it has something to do with positive ions on the air or something and it affects the body and the nervous system... it causes migraines and other stuff... supposedly. ~shrug~

It's possible. Don't those giant windmill farms do the same thing? I heard that the constant sound from the blades going whoosh-whoosh-whoosh was also giving people headaches and making people go berzerk.

I hate the wind in the wintertime.. I have to many body parts that won't take it, I don't go out at all. I have to wear my facemask hat. Boy do I get made fun of wearing it. My kids say take it off before we go into a store, lol.. Well if I leave it on a storeclerk is right there to meet me asking me to take it off. I have probably been pick up on every store security camera already around this town. tendinitis of the jaw and jaw bone has arthritis in it bad. I WONT GO OUT WITHOUT IT.. Yes ! I think this wind could do about any thing to your body Lorelei.

Wow Lois. I'm sorry you have so many problems with the weather... ~hugz~
Weather really does affect us... weather... temperature... barometric pressure... solar flares... even the moon phases.
