Clifford Clift definitely did do a job on them. They will be trying to recover from that disaster for years to come. I think David MacDonald has potential and he seems to be trying to turn things around but he's fighting an uphill battle. Their forum can be as good as they want it to be. The more they put into it the more they will get out of it. The BoD just doesn't seem to care about it. If they did they wouldn't have cancelled the first one...and the second one... I wonder how long it will be before they cancel the third one?

MUFON's agenda has changed dramatically and it's not concerned with what people like us think anymore.

I am attempting to write an article about something related to the Apollo 11 Moon mission and I can not believe how much conflicting and contradictory information I am finding. First I read one thing, then something entirely different, then a source that says that both of the first two were wrong. After that I read an account that stated that the last source was wrong and that the real truth is the exact opposite. All I am writing about is one of the tools used by the astronauts. If history can't even get a simple little thing like this correct than it's no wonder we still don't know who really shot JFK or what really happened at Roswell or whether or not UFOs are really real. This is rediculous.

* Ridiculous It comes from the word "Ridicule" which is spelled with an "i"... that's how I remember the spelling of that one...

I saw a bird commit suicide today. I was driving my truck down this little road going about 30 mph when this bird that was in the grass suddenly flew out in front of me. He was about even with my windshield and flying in front of me for a few seconds then he just dropped straight down and landed in the road right in front of me and just stood there. He just quit flapping his wings and went straight down. I've never seen a bird do that before. I tried to not run him over but when I looked in the rearview mirror I saw feathers flying out from underneath the truck. That bird's feathery little butt was flatter than a pancake. I really don't like running over animals but there wasn't much I could do in that case. If a dumb bird is intent on committing suicide he's going to do it one way or another. That's just the way it is.

Good grief! I just had the king of all computer failures yesterday. The stupid thing crashed so badly I couldn't even get it to turn on. I wasn't able to fix anything, I couldn't log onto it, I couldn't try any of the repairs. I came about one microsecond away from throwing a huge temper tantrum and smashing the stupid thing into tiny little versions of mutilated microchips. Luckily I managed to restrain myself which probably saved me about $500.00. Instead I decided to erase everything off of the hard drive which means that I lost everything that was on the puter but I'm at least able to use it now. I just have to set everything back up the way it was. What a pain.

Sky....I hear you...I've jumped up and down on a few systems myself over the years...but now I got a strategy that works pretty good and it renders things a whole lot less painful or expensive.
If using WinXP, try putting all your important stuff on a separate drive such as D:\My Documents\blah blah
That way, if your system takes a poop, which is generally something to do with drive C: and the NTFS Hive, while you may lose your OS programs and be forced to reload Macro$haft's bleeding Orfice crapola (programs), all your data, bookmarks (back them up regularly to HTML by date in your D:\My Docs\BookMarks\10-xx-2012\etc), all your contacts, etc, which you cleverly put on drive D: will likely be safe.
Hope this helps...

I put my briefcase..bookmarks and anything like passwords and such on removable drives..because..I have lost this information in the past and had to resurrect it. Now..I just pop the thumb drive into any computer and it's right there. I stole the idea from a business fiend who stores his quick books on a drive instead of his computer ..cheap and efficient and secure. Anytime I've collected (like the pack rat I am) clutter but don't really want to get rid of it permanently...(um recipes..etc) onto a drive it goes..labeled and stored in a little box. For each of my clients..their websites go on a drive by themselves..not stored on my pc and I do the same with work in progress so it's not lost.

You must have made the computer gods mad or something.

Well, my old computer has bit the dust. Actually it bit a couple of 40 pound dumbells that just happened to smash the crap out of it. I would like to say it was an accident but it wasn't. Stupid computer. Anyways that is why I haven't been here the past couple of days. I now have a brand new computer that so far, miraculously has not given me any problems yet. We'll see how long that lasts. Anybody want to make any predictions on how long this computer will make it before I throw another temper tantrum? The last one went a little over two years. Shall I be optimistic and try for three this time? Yeah...like that will happen. I have two other computers that are also giving me problems right now. The computer in my truck has been dead for the past three weeks and the mechanics in the shop cannot fix it for some reason. Also the internet on my cell phone quit working and the phone people can't figure out what's wrong with it. Is it a coincidence that all three of those things would give up the ghost at the same time or am I just really jinxed when it comes to computers?

They say "experiencers" often have weird things happen to electronic equipment around them. Maybe you've been abducted recently? Speaking of computers- don't even get me STARTED on the cash register system at work... or the digital safe... I walked past that darn thing earlier tonight and it spit out $60. I didn't even touch the darn thing!!!

That's so funny because I have a 'knack' for keeping them running long past the time they should be pushing up daisies and I don't know how. I'm as technically inclined as toothpaste..they just 'work' for me. I kill car alternators but bend computers to my evil will..go figure

Ooooooo-kaaaayyy now. I have had my brand new computer for a grand total of 17 hours and it is already refusing to cooperate. I just turned it on and the stupid screen was completely blank. No matter what button I pushed I could not get the darned thing to come on so I had to shut everything down and start it all over again. This is not a good way to begin a relationship. Obviously this stupid computer has not seen what happened to the last stupid computer that refused to cooperate. I suppose I could go sweep the pieces of the last broken piece of bleep up into a pile and show this new one a glimpse of its possible future. Could Mr Toshiba the 3rd soon be headed towards a similar fate? We shall see.

I don't think I have been abducted recently but how the heck could I know if I can't ever remember it happening? Those space clowns could be zapping me every night for all I know. They must have zapped all of my puters too. Stupid space clowns.

Now both of my credit cards quit working at the same time. What else can possibly go wrong?? This is really starting to annoy me. If I wasn't such a cool dude I might accidentally lose my cool and say something like %@#@!!

It's a brand new computer. I've only had it two days. How can it possibly be broke already?

It's a brand new computer. I've only had it two days. How can it possibly be broke already? it doesn't need to be broke in order for you to go to a computer place.... tell them your problem and they will help you.... be honest with them.... my youngest son works in a computer shop where they build & repair computers... he told me they get people in there all the time who have new computers & can't get it running.... they help them...

I know exactly what the problem is. The Problem is that the stupid computer is not working the way it is supposed to. I also know exactly what I need to do to fix the problem... Where's my baseball bat?

If you just bought it, a lot of places/brands have free tech help, some just for thirty days, and some up to one year.

Ok, I looked at the instruction manual and I think I understand what I need to do. Step 1: Grip handle of bat tightly with both hands.
Step 2: Swing bat as hard as you can.
Step 3: Repeat steps 1 and 2.I think even a knucklehead like me could follow those instructions. I'll have this sucker working right in no time.

Sky... take it to a repair shop and have them look at it... I agree with the others on this thread.
Don't run it over with your rig...
