I thought it would be fun to know how people came up with their nicknames. I've seen some pretty interesting ones. Morgan Sierra is the pen name I am writing under right now. I chose it partly because Morgan is my real name, but also because two of my favorite things to do are scuba diving and mountain climbing and that name kind of fits both of them. Morgan is a celtic word meaning "from the sea" and Sierra is a Spanish word meaning "snow covered mountains". What does your nickname mean?

I chose the name Skywalker because I love Star Wars and I have always been a little bit of a rebel. I spend a lot of my time battling the evil Empire (government) and it's evil agencies (CIA, IRS, MUFON...) as well as it's individual evil agents (Obama, Bigelow, cap'n jack flash...) In real life I'm actually a pretty nice guy although I do have a little bit of the dark side in me. And just in case anybody doesn't know, Morgan Sierra and Skywalker are the same person. I use one for my admin duties and the other for general posting.

Lorelei is a witch from German mythology. Some refer to her as a siren. We read a poem about her in German class, a poem written by a famous German poet named Josef von Eichendorf. This poem struck a chord in my heart when I first read it. www.recmusic.org/lieder/get_text.html?TextId=5312Click the blue ENG link for the English translation to appear to the right of the original poem. Eichendorf originally titled the poem "Lorelei" but he changed it later on to "Waldgesprach" for reasons unknown. As the legend goes, she was a wealthy woman while alive, but was scorned by a man. She now exists as a geist, a "Hexe" (witch) in the Black Forest. She lures men into the woods, and they never come back out again.

Its a Tribute to all the crappy luck i have had in life.

Hi, everybody. I use the name Casper because that is what people have been calling me since I was a little kid. My real name is Robert, but I loved watching Casper the Freindly ghost on tv. Now I work as a truck driver and and my CB handle is the friendly ghost.

Its a Tribute to all the crappy luck i have had in life. You remind me a great deal of my friend whom I was telling you about. He has bad luck too. Your 13 tattoo reminds me of the Offspring song... "He asked for a 13 but they drew a 31!" ~rocks out, banging her head~

My real name is Rex. I happen to be a sportbike enthusiast and my rice rocket of choice is of course Yamaha. My first sportbike was a 1989 Yamaha FZR 1000. Having been a biker for a number of years hence the nickname Yamacycler.

Glad to see you here yamadude. I'm more of a Harley-dude myself, but I also have an old Yamaha RZ-350 Kenny Roberts edition that I play around with sometimes. It's a fun little thing.

My real name according to the bible means , faithful, holding much faith, I think that is nice. Some one give me a book marker once and this scripture was on it. or I would not of know..

Skygirl- Have been known to have my head in the clouds (LTA) much of the time, living in a world of possibilities instead of probabilities AND I would much rather be up there flying, gliding, soaring, breaking the sound barrier and being beamed up instead of down here where its thick like swimming in mud. But every once in a while another Skyperson comes along and the girl goes walking...;-)...

I'm very glad you joined us here, skygirl. It's nice to have another skyperson on the forum. There are a lot of people here who have similar feelings to the ones you shared. A lot of people have had abduction experiences also...as well as psychic abilities. You might be surprised how many similarities there are.

well.. no serious explanation really.. satansrini - i just liked the sound of it.. it came to my head in a spur of the moment and it stuck with me....
srini - short for my first name - Srinivas.
satan - well I guess most of us have our own definitions for it.
I actually find that the villians have more colour to their characters than heros or good people..
But I or most with my background don't take the word 'satan' with the negativity that some of you (read Christians or westerners) may take. Another example is - I never understand what is really so wrong with the word 'hell'. Because, to us - say Hindus, there is no absolute good and evil. Like God or Holy Spirit in Christianity is all good and Satan or Devil or whoever is totally bad..
Regards, Srinivas
