Hosted by a nuclear physicist, no less. A new television show exploring UFOs is weird17 Aug, 2012 UFOs and other mysterious phenomena are popular topics on U.S. television. With each new season of programming, it seems as though more and more networks are racing to meet the apparent demand for content exploring these intriguing topics. The Discovery network’s Science channel is a prime example of a network embracing shows exploring UFOs and extraterrestrial life. Although the channel has aired several shows addressing these topics, the Science channel is premiering a new show that will probe these mysteries. Professor Weird is the title of the show premiering on Saturday, August 18. This “weird” professor is theoretical nuclear physicist Dr. Franklin Ruehl. According to Dr. Ruehl, his show “focuses on the scientific evidence for UFOs and ETs, paranormal phenomena, cryptozoological entities, weird crime, bizarre medicine, strange people and anything else of an unusual and fascinating nature.” On his Huffington Post blog, Dr. Ruehl explains, “I feel that the scientific comunity has been myopically narrow-minded concerning the feasilbity of these various subjects. As a Ph.D. in theoretical nuclear physics, I endeavor to bring the scientific perspective to these controversial topics from an open-minded stance.” www.openminds.tv/a-new-television-show-exploring-ufos-is-weird-826/

I just saw my first (and last) episode of "Professor Weird". I did not think it was possible even for artistically-dead Hollywood to produce such a stinky TV show. I gotta shake my head on this one folks. Look on the bright side, --for Dr. Ruehl (his local Los Angeles TV name, 'Dr. Wizard') its gotta be a step-up the job ladder for him contrasted with 'starring' in all those children's early shows he does, portraying a science weirdo. Its not a difficult job either, because, its exactly the same show format that he's been doing these past 15 years, only now his intended audience is adult!! And it just goes to emphasize how Howlleeewood thinks about us in the ET presence community. The reason the show is so stinky is not simply owing to its campy nerdiness, which from strictly a social behavior perspective, is rude, but I suspect, also, its rudeness is due to the shows original audience format being designed for children's intellect. Hollywood apparently can't discern the difference, or maybe its part of the 'giggle' factor being foisted on us again? And if you doubt my reasoning, just track down an episode or two of Dr. Wizard, and see for yourself. Its exactly the same show, just a different topic and the 'children' are older.
