mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/06/french-crop-circle-draws-crowds-and-couples-joining-the-crop-circle-club/ French Crop Circle Draws Crowds and Couples Joining the “Crop Circle Club”by Paul Seaburn / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/paulseaburn/June 19, 2019 There are plenty of people who believe crop circles are made by humans. There are plenty of crop circles that are so large and complex that even skeptics wonder if there’s something more going on in those fields. It turns out that in one field of crops circles in France – there is. A farmer went out to check on the beautiful circles he found covering two adjoining wheat fields and discovered a nude middle-aged couple who had just completed their application for admission into the “Crop Circle Club.” If you don’t know what that means, this may change the way you look at (or in) crops circles forever. If you build it, they will come. “At the beginning, from the ground, I could not see what it was, I went to Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg (castle on top of the plain) to take height, and there I discovered part of the land.I saw a work of geometric circles in 30 ares of field that are three hectares in Saint-Hippolyte. It is not ugly to see, it is very beautiful, but I can not be happy having lost part of my wheat crop.” On June 12, Thomas Jehl got a call from a neighbor in Saint-Hippolyte, a commune (township) in northeastern France near the German border. The neighbor was letting him know that two of his wheat fields were now partially and geometrically covered with a series of crop circles measuring over 200 meters (656 feet) from end-to-end. (See the photos here and here.) He was obviously flattered to be flattened in a wheat sense, but had no idea what else he was in for, other than losing some of his crop to the circles and their mysterious makers. “It would really surprise me if I could do something about it. It’s a shame, because this time it had been a great season for wheat.” Jehl didn’t report the cercles de culture (cultural circles – the French term for crop circles) to the police because he’s not really sure if they can find the culprits. “It is true that the wheat is not broken, as if something had come from above and cracked it, but I do not believe that it is the work of someone who is not an inhabitant of the Earth. Then I saw nothing, so I can not know.I do not even know when it was done, it was between this weekend and Wednesday, I guess.” News of the artistic cercles de culture (the top figure has 5 circles aligned and an outer ring; the second figure has 19 aligned circles and a ring around the central group) spread quickly and by the weekend there were cars from France and Germany lined up to take in the sight. According to the news source L’Alsace, the spectators included a middle-aged couple Jehl stumbled upon in flagrante delicto … and in nothing else. “The case even takes a crisp turn when we learn that the farmer would have fallen Friday night on a couple who was getting dressed, in the middle of ears of wheat. No doubt the two forty-year-olds wanted to profit directly and without any form of barrier, supposed positive waves.” Is this a crop circle or a roundabout? While crop circles aren’t generally thought of as aphrodisiacs or fertility aids, other paranormal sites are, including some stone circles and giant ground drawings like the Cerne Abbas (Cerne Giant) in Dorset, England, which is 180 feet tall and has a 20-foot penis (that may be a clue). The current crop circle crop in Europe is up to four this year, with two each in France and the UK. While this is the first one to host a couple joining the Crop Circle Club (like the Mile High Club, only a mile lower), this could be a new hidden compensation for farmers or a new category of amateur porn video. On the other hand … what if the circle really WAS made by aliens? Are they entertained, mortified … or both? mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/06/french-crop-circle-draws-crowds-and-couples-joining-the-crop-circle-club/

mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/06/mysterious-crop-circle-palooza-spreads-across-france/ Mysterious Crop Circle-Palooza Spreads Across Franceby Paul Seaburn / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/paulseaburn/June 29, 2019 In France, they’re called “cercles de culture,” although a better name might be “cercles de ooh la la” after a couple was found naked in one by the farmer whose field had already been trampled once by whatever it is that’s making these crop circles that have suddenly started cropping up all over the French countryside. The count is up to at least six and there may be many more now that one group has revealed how they made theirs. No, it wasn’t “extraterrestres,” although the juries are still out on the other five circles. The first French cercle de culture appeared early in the growing season on June 6 in Baillet-en-France in northern France. It was spotted by a pilot in the Enghien-Moisselles flying club and posted on their Facebook page. The club reported that the pictures got more views than any other posts on their page and other pilots saw plenty of spectators – but no naked couples trying to get into the Crop Circle Club. As can be seen in the pictures, it was a fairly simple design. The second crop circle was the big one found on June 12 in Saint-Hippolyte in northeastern France near the German border where the farmer found the nude couple doing the crop circle strut. That one was much larger – covering parts of two fields – but still fairly simple in shape. (See it here.) The next one was reported on June 14 in a ‘cereal’ field at Menetou-Salon in central France. The owner of the field said it could have been there for up to two weeks because some of the crop was sprouting again in the paths that he believed were created by humans using tractors and boards. Again, a typical set of circles and lines and fairly plain. (See it here.) That can also be said of one in the field of a man of La Manche on the English Channel in the northwest coast of France. The circles and crescents found on June 13 cross multiple tractor paths that could have been used for access. The count was now up to four – twice as many crop circles as had been seen in a single year in France. Whoever or whatever was making them may have been new at it because the patterns were simple in comparison to many of those that appear annually in England. (See it here.) That changed somewhat on June 17 with a small but elaborate tight cluster of circles and triangles in a field in St-Jean of Bassel in northeast France. It was only 20 meters across (a third the size of some of the others) but geometrically pleasant. Even casual observers can see the tractor path leading up to its side. (See it here.) That brings us full circle to the last one (for now) which was discovered on June 17 in Blaesheim in northeastern France on the German border near cercle de culture found in Saint-Hippolyte. This had a more elaborate design than the rest (see it here) … and a good reason why. DNA.fr reported almost immediately that the circle was created by local students from the Jean Sturm Gymnasium in Strasbourg as a geometry project. Their math teacher contacted the local mayor and his brother who were also owners of a farm – thus getting both a field and access in one call. The students used the classic ropes-and-stakes crop circle strategy seen in many instructional videos and were successful in creating a nice one, that was quickly photographed by a pilot and uploaded to the Internet. This better get me an A The math teacher of the students in Blaesheim said they were inspired by the crop circle in Saint-Hippolyte (for purely geometric reasons – not to attract naked couples). Is imitation the reason for the crop circle-palooza in France this summer? The simple designs, obvious tractor marks and occasional confessions push the skeptic needle towards that side, although the honesty of the students keeps the needle from plunging into the deep red ‘hoax’ area. Nonetheless, it’s an interesting phenomena. Will it continue through the summer? Will anyone else join the French Crop Circle Club? Do the French really need crop circles for a naked rendezvous? mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/06/mysterious-crop-circle-palooza-spreads-across-france/

mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/11/mysterious-green-ghost-crop-circles-appear-in-the-uk/ Mysterious Green Ghost Crop Circles Appear in the UKby Paul Seaburn / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/paulseaburn/ November 2, 2019 Haunted houses and cemeteries aren’t the only places to see ghosts these days. It’s autumn in the Northern Hemisphere and that means we’re coming to the close of crop circle season in England, France, rural America and other farmlands where these strange, artistic patterns appear in fields of wheat and other grain crops capable of being compressed/stomped into circles filled with intricate and mysterious patterns. Make note of this year’s crop circle locales because they may become homes to next year’s ghost crop circles. Ghost what? “This is absolutely breathtaking. May I inquire how the depressed image is green while the rest of the crops are yellow/brown? Its sooo amazing and beautiful!” Earthfiles.com, the website of the wonderful Linda Moulton Howe, posted that query this week, along with an aerial view of a ghost crop circle. Linda helpfully explains that the stunning green design in an otherwise brown field is “an exact pattern that had been in the field the summer before,” which is why it’s called a ghost crop circle. The video was made by Stonehenge Dronescapes, the company owned by Nick Bull, a “keen photographer based in Wiltshire who loves to capture beautiful landscapes with my drones and DSLR camera.” Wiltshire is the home of the Stonehenge and Avebury stone circles and is in close proximity to a majority of England’s annual crop circle locations, so it’s ideal for filming the mysterious spring ghost circles as well. However, this one was recorded on October 23rd on Rodfield Lane in Hampshire – the county adjacent to and west of Wiltshire. Puzzled? This fall ghost circle intrigued Linda as well. Deep inside a crop circle For those who believe that crop circles are not manmade, one explanation for ghost crop circles is that the ‘force’ which created them affected the soil, which then ‘remembers’ the pattern the following year and enables the seeds planted in that area to germinate faster than the rest, creating a green version of last year’s circle. For those who believe crop circles are the result of human stomping, there are explanations for both spring and fall ghost circles as well as the equally mysterious “snow circles.” Wait … what? The popular time to stomp crop circles is when the grain crop, most often wheat, is at its highest. That’s obviously before the crop is harvested, which means the stompers are crushing seeds back into the soil, in effect replanting them and starting their growth cycle all over again. After the harvest, those circle seeds create shoots which recreate the pattern, resulting in a fall circle. This type of ghost circle depends on when the circle is stomped and when the field is harvested, so it can also be the cause of springtime green ghost circles. On the other hand, the seeds may begin to germinate but too late to sprout. However, that process sucks the nutrients out of the soil. When the farmer plants and fertilizes again in the spring, that soil may not have enough nutrients and will stay barren or stunt the growth of the seeds, resulting in a depressed ghost crop circle. Hey, what about those snow circles? Thanks for the reminder. Some farmers upset with the loss of crops due to the stompers (one of the main reasons why many areas have laws against it) will double-fertilized the crushed area with nutrients or manure. That will cause an intense composting effect in those areas. Anyone who has turned over a compost pile or a pile of rotting leaves in cold weather will have seen steam rise or felt some warmth. That same composting heat can melt the snow in a field enough to recreate the crop circle in a winter ghost pattern. Or it could be aliens. Thanks again to Linda Moulton Howe for sharing the great view of a fall ghost crop circle from Stonehenge Dronescapes. mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/11/mysterious-green-ghost-crop-circles-appear-in-the-uk/

www.coasttocoastam.com/article/video-first-uk-crop-circle-of-2021-found/Video: First UK Crop Circle of 2021 FoundMay 11, 2021 ByTim Binnall / www.coasttocoastam.com/pages/tim-binnall/The 2021 crop circle season is officially underway in the UK as the first formation the year has been found by researchers. The design was reportedly discovered on Monday in the village of Stanton St Bernard and was presumably created at some point over this past weekend. Embossed into a colorful field of rapeseed, as seen in the fantastic drone video above, the formation is comprised of a series of triangles that form a larger picture that some have likened to an origami pinwheel. The first formation of the year is usually cause for celebration among crop circle enthusiasts as it marks the start of what will undoubtedly be a series of intriguing designs that will mysteriously appears on farms throughout England as well as Europe and elsewhere around the world over the next few months. As for this particular piece, researchers have already begun attempting to decipher what it might mean with one observer, Dr. Horace R. Drew, postulating that it could be a clock, of sorts, heralding the imminent arrival of extraterrestrials to our solar system. To that end, he went on to note that the plants "do not show any obvious signs of mechanical crushing. Their yellow flowers remain intact" and, as such, Drew argues that "there is no evidence, at present, to suggest that it might have been man-made. If by some chance it was man-made, then they have certainly done a nice, tidy job, in a field where the farmer would not be friendly!" Skeptics, of course, say that the formation was almost certainly the work of creative humans and not extraterrestrial visitors cruising through the cosmos. www.coasttocoastam.com/article/video-first-uk-crop-circle-of-2021-found/

www.coasttocoastam.com/article/video-2nd-crop-circle-of-2022-mystifies-legendary-queen-guitarist/Video: 2nd Crop Circle of 2022 Mystifies Legendary Queen GuitaristMay 25, 2022 By Tim Binnall / www.coasttocoastam.com/pages/tim-binnall/The second crop circle of 2022 recently appeared in England and wound up capturing the imagination of legendary Queen guitarist bob May, who spotted the oddity on the ground while flying home from a rehearsal. The curious formation was reportedly found over the weekend in the hamlet of Hippenscombe and features a fairly complex design (which can be seen in the drone video above) consisting of a large octagon with what appear to be saw blades facing inward encircling four spheres that themselves are orbiting a central circle that sports a small patch of untouched barley standing out amidst the otherwise compressed vegetation. As is often the case, crop circle researchers have offered an array of somewhat arcane explanations for what the design might be meant to convey with one observer suggesting the saw blades refer to harvesting and the spheres represent various celestial bodies. However, in this instance, armchair investigators were not the only people who found themselves pondering the puzzling formation. In a somewhat surprising meeting between the worlds of pop culture and the paranormal, legendary guitarist bob May of the iconic band Queen took to his Instagram account on Tuesday evening and shared photos of the newfound crop circle. "Notice anything unusual here in the English countryside," he asked in the post (seen below) and then explained that "I never spotted a crop circle myself before. So probably always a bit skeptical about them. But yesterday, flying back from our production rehearsal space - flying over a location not far from Marlborough - there was this." In the social media post, seen below, May shared several photos of the formation from Hippenscombe as well as "a rudimentary stereo movie." The musician then asked his followers for their thoughts on the strange scene, offering a variety of possibilities that included "intriguing works of mathematical art," a hoax, and, of course, the proverbial extraterrestrial hypothesis. www.coasttocoastam.com/article/video-2nd-crop-circle-of-2022-mystifies-legendary-queen-guitarist/

www.coasttocoastam.com/article/video-crop-circle-in-england-changes-overnight/ WOWVideo: Crop Circle in England Changes OvernightJuly 21, 2022 By Tim Binnall / www.coasttocoastam.com/pages/tim-binnall/A crop circle found in England over the weekend mysteriously transformed into a second design the following day. The unique case began on Sunday morning when a formation (seen above) featuring a flattened circle surrounding crops that had been shaped into a hexagon was discovered at a site known as Barbury Castle in the county of Wiltshire. As is so often the case, researchers quickly set about studying the design and offering their interpretations of what it might mean, with some noting that it appeared to be the method with which Archimedes approximated pi. However, it would seem that the creator of the crop formation wasn't quite finished as the design dramatically changed overnight. When the sun rose on Monday morning, the formation (seen below) had taken on a whole new look with the hexagon of crops at the center of the circle having been transformed into 12 'blades' comprised of four triangles each. One is left to wonder if the extremely rare two-phase design was intentional on the part of its creator or if they were forced to abandon their work and came back later to finish it. Should the second scenario be the case, their determination is admirable, since returning to the proverbial scene of the crop crime is a rather risky gambit. That said, whether they were aliens from another world or humans with boards and rope, they somehow managed to complete the formation without anyone catching them.

www.coasttocoastam.com/article/video-curious-crop-formation-found-in-russia/Video: Curious Crop Formation Found in RussiaSeptember 16, 2022 By Tim Binnall / www.coasttocoastam.com/pages/tim-binnall/A peculiar crop formation recently appeared in Russia near the country's mysterious Lake Baikal and prompted an enlightening TV segment on the strange event. The unique design was reportedly discovered around the end of August in Russia's Irkutsk region and consists of a spiral containing several small spheres and rectangular shapes which winds into a large circle at the center. While such formations are something of a summer staple in England, they are rather rare in Russia and so a television crew was dispatched to the site to document the event in a segment which serves as an informative look at how the phenomenon may be perceived in the country. In explaining the crop circle phenomenon to viewers, the program asserts that only five percent of the formations are "genuine" and offered the odd explanation that "their occurrence is usually associated with explosions in space." The show goes on to speak to what appears to be some kind of researcher who tells them that "we suspect it is a hoax," but indicated that they needed to examine the "breakages in the wheat" before they could be certain. The man then walks around the formation with an EMF detector and notes that the electromagnetic field at the center of the circle is "seven times higher than in the outermost spiral." While the researcher ultimately opines that it the formation is man-made, he credits the people who created it, calling them "professionals" responsible for crafting "unbelievably beautiful figures." Noting that this was first time they have found a crop circle in the area, he mused that probably meant that the creators had nowhere to practice and, as such, the Irkutsk design was "not bad for a first try." The segment then takes a bizarre turn as it very briefly features a different man who muses that a gnome is somehow connected to the crop circle having appeared in the field, before finally interviewing the individual who first found the formation and he agrees with the researcher that it is likely the work of humans. The appearance of the crop circle near Lake Baikal will undoubtedly interest paranormal enthusiasts as the mysterious site, which is both the world's deepest and oldest freshwater lake, has long been rumored to contain some kind of swimming humanoid creatures that Soviet armed forces are said to have encountered during a training exercise. While that might lead one to consider the possibility that the formation had some kind of supernatural origin, there is another theory, which understandably goes unmentioned by the TV program, which is that the circles and rectangles in the spiral are actually a Russian Morse code message saying "no more war." www.coasttocoastam.com/article/video-curious-crop-formation-found-in-russia/

www.coasttocoastam.com/article/video-crop-circle-created-around-tree/Video: Crop Circle Created Around TreeAugust 06, 2020 By Tim Binnall / www.coasttocoastam.com/pages/tim-binnall/One of the more unique crop circles to appear in quite some time was recently spotted in England and features a tree at the center of the design. The fantastic formation was reportedly found this past Monday in a field near the community of Devizes. Although not particularly intricate, the design, which consists of a large circle surrounded by a ring that features four smaller spheres, is undeniably eye-catching thanks to its creative incorporation of the tree in the field. Understandably, interpretations as to what the formation might be meant to convey have focused on its centerpiece with some suggesting that it is supposed to represent the 'tree of life' and the four surrounding circles are the seasons of the year. Given the countless number of crop circles that have appeared over the years, it stands to reason that the design is probably not the first formation to sport a tree in its center. That said, a cursory search online has so far failed to yield any similar cases from the past, so it very well could be an original concept. www.coasttocoastam.com/article/video-crop-circle-created-around-tree/

The Beautiful World of Crop Circles
Jan 16, 2015
The Beautiful World of Crop Circles
A crop circle or crop formation is a pattern created by flattening a crop, usually a cereal. The term was first coined in the early 1980s by Colin Andrews. Crop circles have been described as all falling "within the range of the sort of thing done in hoaxes" by Taner Edis, professor of physics at Truman State University. Although obscure natural causes or alien origins of crop circles are suggested by fringe theorists, there is no scientific evidence for such explanations, and all crop circles are consistent with human causation.

www.coasttocoastam.com/article/witness-in-england-spots-dome-of-light-prior-to-appearance-of-crop-circle/Witness in England Spots 'Dome of Light' Prior to Appearance of Crop CircleJune 18, 2021 By Tim Binnall In a strange story out of England, a man claims to have spotted a massive dome of light lingering in a field prior to the appearance of a crop circle the following day. According to a local media report, the intriguing incident reportedly occurred early Wednesday morning in the village of Chalfont Saint Peter, when a bright light emanating from outside of his home woke up witness Martin Hoult. Initially think that perhaps it was the moon or some kind of security light, he peered out the window and was astounded by what he saw. "It was a great dome of light, that’s the only way I can describe it," Houllt recalled, "it was perfectly white, like an opaque bulb. The dome was about 150 feet wide and around 30 feet tall – absolutely enormous." Eerily the anomaly was completely silent and the man eventually wound up falling back to sleep. The following morning, Hoult inquired with his neighbor about the strange event from the night before, but they had not seen anything. The duo decided to investigate the field where the dome had seemingly been sitting and, to their surprise, they discovered that there was now a sizeable crop circle in the location. Remarkably, Hoult estimated that, at one point, the formation was the same width, 150 feet, as the light that he had seen hours earlier. "It's very strange," he mused about the experience, "I can't say it was a UFO because it wasn't flying, but it was definitely an unidentified object or light." Alas, the witness did not snap any photos of the curious dome of light that he saw in the middle of the night, though he did take a few pictures of the peculiar formation found in the field (seen below). With that in mind, what do you make of Hoult's account? Could he have seen a crop formation in the process of being created or is there a more prosaic answer to the case?

Aliens & Espionage: Crop Circles and the CIA Coverup
In 1974 a group of scientists beamed a message into space. The message, meant to be received by an intelligent alien species, described life on Earth.
Written in simple binary code, and using the most powerful radio telescope on the planet, the message was broadcast to a dense cluster of stars in the constellation of Hercules.
This exercise was just ceremonial; a way to demonstrate new technology in radio astronomy. Nobody was really expected to receive it. And even if they did, it wouldn't be any time soon. The nearest star in the direction of the broadcast is 25,000 light-years away.
So, the telescope was tuned to 2380 Megherz, aimed at Hercules, and fired up. The scientists congratulated each other, shook hands, and went on with their lives.
But 27 years later, something very unexpected happened with that message beamed into deep space.
We got a reply.
