Ever reckon you've spotted a UFO and no one believed you?
Maybe you were too embarrassed or doubtful to tell anyone?
Now could be you opportunity to have your story heard and potentially even explained.
UFO research NSW will be hosting a forum in Wollongong this weekend, with a series of experts who want to hear your interesting and explained stories.
Doug Moffett is a spokesperson for UFO Research (NSW) Incorporated, he's been involved with the group for over 20 years and will be speaking at the event this weekend.
Mr Moffett says the conference will attempt to make some sense of what people think they might have seen (or did see!)
He says sightings are more common than expected and often, there is actually a perfect explanation for why objects and light appear in interesting places and forms.
"About ninety per cent [of sightings] go unreported, from various research and then of the one per cent that do get reported, eighty-five per cent go to non-UFO groups and never get registered," Mr Moffett said.
One of the greatest arguments UFO sceptics have is there is no scientific evidence to support sighting claims.
Mr Moffett says this is true of many historical events and circumstances, not only reports of extraterrestrial activity.
"That's correct and there is absolutely no scientific evidence prior to [when] Christopher Columbus said the world was round," he said.
More than anything, Mr Moffett says a shared sense of awe from people who report the unusual activity, is what's particularly interesting.
"For a lot of people, that sense of wonder is probably the most predominant thing because that's the kicker," he said.
"There's a realisation that what you've seen just... isn't from here...put it that way."
The conference is on Saturday 15th of September at the Illawarra Leagues Club in Wollongong.
