Aliens took part in a military exercise in ArkansasSubmitted by Dirk Vander Ploeg on Tue, 01/04/2011 An American officer, who wished to remain anonymous, affirmed that aliens took part in a military exercise that took place in Arkansas several years ago. “There are some things that I cannot talk about. Yet, I think I can say something.” Fort Chaffee Army Base Airborne troops conducted their exercise from April 15 to May 5, 1992. The event took place on the territory of the Fort Chaffee army base. The exercise was performed under the code name "Operation Curtain." Special units of airborne troops from Venezuela, Ecuador, the USA, and Puerto Rico, took part in the exercise. The troops were sent to swamps in a remote part of the base. It was ordered not to allow the dummy bridge that was built for the exercise to be exploded. “No unit managed to prevent the explosion of the bridge. Neither the Venezuelans, nor Americans, nor the soldiers from Ecuador managed to detect the “enemy." No one could understand how the saboteur made its way without even bumping into any of the best units. Nevertheless, it happened,” – said the officer. Commandos from Puerto Rico encircled the swamp and started waiting for the “enemy.” “A strange noise could be heard in the distance at about 00.30 a.m. Soldiers thought that the 'enemy' landed on the other side of the swamp. Everybody was ready to meet them. The only aspect that we did not know was the time that would take for the 'enemy' to cross the swamp. Before the exercise started, the commandos were given an order not to use night vision devices. However, there was an American sergeant among the Puerto-Ricans who had such a device. “The soldiers soon heard strange sounds coming from the other side of the swamp. The sounds were getting more and more distinct. Everybody was staring in the direction of the sound, but no one saw anything at all. Suddenly, everyone smelled the strong smell of the swamp. One of Puerto-Rican officers ran out of patience and asked the American sergeant to give him the night vision device. The officer looked around the territory and he saw three small creatures. They were visible with the naked eye. The officer gave the night vision device to another officer and so on. Everybody saw the weird 'enemy.' The soldiers eventually contacted their command. The command kept silence for a long while, and then it was ordered to carefully watch the creatures without bringing harm to them. “They were like little people, about one meter high. They looked absolutely white in the night vision devices. There was another such creature sitting on a stump, as if it was watching the crawling ones. At first I thought that they were wearing some kind of helmets. But then I realized that they were not helmets, but their long, egg-like heads. I could even see their big black eyes with no eye-balls. It also seemed to me that they had two little holes instead of a nose. I did not see a mouth. They had four fingers on their hands.” The officer also said that a helicopter arrived soon and took the “little people” away. The command strictly ordered everyone to maintain silence about the event. The American officer was struck with what he saw. He did not say anything about it for two years. Who were those creatures? What were they doing among military men? How far did it all go? Story source: english.pravda.ru/news/russia/04-09-2002/17316-0/

www.ufocasebook.com/2011/unprepare.html Scientists Urge UN to Prepare for AliensUFO Depiction Published: January 14, 2011 It may sound like something from a sci-fi movie, but United Nations scientists are saying that Earth needs to prepare… for an alien invasion. UN scientists have been urging officials to give responsibility of "supra-Earth affairs” to a branch of the government, and to come up with a plan of action in the event of a visit from extraterrestrials. In the most recent edition of Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society A, scientists commented on the all aspects of the possibility of alien life, including astronomy, biology, and political and religious fallout. "Will a suitable process based on expert advice from proper and responsible scientists arise at all, or will interests of power and opportunism more probably set the scene?” Professor John Zarnecki of the Open University and Dr Martin Dominik of the University of St Andrews asked. The two men pointed out that the UN already has a mechanism to take on the creation of an extraterrestrial plan, the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space. Those really expecting any kind of "alien contact” should be prepared for the worst, said professor of evolutionary palaeobiology at Cambridge University Simon Conway Morris. He said that evolution on alien worlds is likely to have been Darwinian in nature, and that life on other planets will have likely evolved similar to that of Earth, and our penchant for "violence and exploitation” is included. In the journal, Morris wrote, "Why should we ‘prepare for the worst?" First, if intelligent aliens exist, they will look just like us, and given our far from glorious history, this should give us pause for thought.” People all over the world, no matter their religious practices, will have questions on their faith, and that’s where a plan of action would really help "Earthlings”. However, Ted Peters, professor of systematic theology at the Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in California, says that in the event that E.T. makes a pit stop at Earth, theologians have nothing to worry about. "Theologians will not find themselves out of a job. In fact, theologians might relish the new challenges to reformulate classical religious commitments in light of the new and wider vision of God’s creation,” he said.

theufobureau.com/index.php/trail/3419-international-ufo-convention-tries-to-be-serious-tg-daily.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter International UFO Convention Tries to be Serious Lydia Leavitt | Mon 24th Jan 2011 The words "UFO convention" may conjure up images of aliens, Area 51, and fringe vests, but what about business professionals and politicians? If you are shaking your head, then obviously you haven’t heard about the latest version of the UFO convention - the Global Competitiveness Forum. Kind of like the hip version of Nevada's alien convention, this conference takes place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and attempts to attract leaders in business, sports, politics, and education. No really, we're talking UFOs, as in unidentified flying objects. International UFO convention tries to be serious Why? Organizers and Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority sponsoring the event believe talking UFOs and science fiction will prompt forward thinking and fuel innovation. The idea is to bring together a group of forward thinkers who share a common interest in solving global challenges and push them to think big. "I think because they recognize that if you want to look for innovation, look for somebody who's way ahead of you," Stanton Friedman, a nuclear physicist and one of the panelist told AOL News on the eve of his departure for Saudi Arabia. "Even if UFOs and aliens weren't real, just thinking about it is a big thing, enlarging the scope of our thinking to include a larger part of the galactic neighborhood instead of the planet." Friedman said he’s "convinced, after my work for major corporations as a nuclear physicist, that technological progress comes from doing things differently in an unpredictable way. The future is not an extrapolation of the past. Reviewing the UFO evidence requires us to examine our assumptions about how things work." Friedman and his colleagues including anthropologists, doctors, and other nuclear psycisiscts, will be exploring topics like "Contact: Learning from Outer Space." The GCF may sound farfetched but in reality, more and more technology is getting a cue from science fiction. For example, S. Korea is taking the futuristic approach of using robots to teach students English. In Taiwan, there are facial recognition vending machines to recognizing an ailment and choose a product from its shelves without prompt. So maybe it is somewhat true - that looking towards the future and unknown may be the key to unlocking new innovative ideas.

lol... love the photo of the lone gunmen. ;D Yup, that's about as serious as you can get. It seems that a lot of people are taking UFOs more seriously now. Perhaps it is because there is so much public interest in them. Maybe UFOs are on the verge of crossing over from the lunatic fringe and actually becoming a serious topic. One can only hope so.

news.exopoliticsinstitute.org/index.php/archives/890 World business leaders told flying saucers are real & extraterrestrials existJanuary 25, 2011 Michael E. Salla, Ph.D. Graphic summary of GCF discussions by Sunni Brown reveals prominence of ET contact and new energy systems. At five thousand dollars a ticket, some business leaders got more than they bargained for when they attended the first day of the Global Competitiveness Forum (GCF) being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. They were told flying saucers are real, and they better start thinking about the business implications of extraterrestrial life and technologies. Convened each year by the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority, the GCF brings together business and political leaders to discuss ways of promoting business competitiveness. For the first time at its annual conference, the GCF held a panel discussing UFOs and extraterrestrial life. Titled “Learning from Outer Space” the panel comprised five speakers who all endorsed the view that extraterrestrial life is real, and has many implications for the world as we know it. The panel was held on January 23, and was a “main plenary” session meaning all GCF participants were able to attend and hear what the experts had to say about UFOs and extraterrestrial life. Up to 1000 participants included business and political elites such as former British and Canadian Prime Ministers, Tony Blair and Jean Chretien; Jim Albaugh, President and CEO of Boeing; Andy Bird, chairman of Walt Disney International; Jared Cohen, Director of Google ideas, and many others. The advice they got was that the issue of extraterrestrial life is real, and they better start paying attention to the business implications. Here’s how the GCF summarized the panel presentations on its website: Learning from Outer Space – Panel The unconventional and highly relevant topic of extraterrestrial life forms was addressed by yesterday’s panel discussion “Contact: Learning from Outer Space”. Experts Zoaghloul El-Naggar, Stanton Friedman, Michio Kaku, Nick Pope and Jacques Vallee made compelling cases for the existence of living beings elsewhere in the galaxy, drawing upon empirical evidence, religious theology and logical reasoning. Mr. Friedman opened his remarks with a bold statement, “Flying saucers are real!” and this summed up the perspective of the panel members. Mr. Pope explored the potential business implications of outer space, such as the profitability of alien branding or sponsorship. While El-Naggar was also convinced of their existence, he raised the interesting point that it may not be ethical to spend resources trying to contact alien societies when we still face war and poverty in our own society. Mr. Vallee encouraged more academics to analyze the evidence. However, on behalf of his successful Venture Capital fund, he said, “We are not ready to invest in this type of research, but we think that somebody should.” The 2011 GCF conference panel on Outer Space has opened the door for world business leaders to seriously consider the implications of evidence concerning UFOs and extraterrestrial life. A graphic summarizing GCF discussions by artist, Sunni Brown (top right), reveals the prominence given to issues of extraterrestrial contact and the overwhelming changes new energies will bring to humanity. Business leaders are poised to do what political leaders have so far failed to do – proactively deal with compelling evidence that we are being visited by galactic civilizations who have advanced technologies to share with humanity.

paranormalutopia.com/2011/01/bill-clinton-at-an-international-ufo-convention011/ Bill Clinton at World Convention in Saudi Arabia Discussing UFOs?Bill Clinton at an International UFO Convention? January 26, 2011 By ParaNikki Yep! At least that’s what it seemed like. The Global Competitiveness Forum, or GCF for short, is being held in Saudi Arabia right now and just a handful of the high profile guests include former US president Bill Clinton, Former Prime Minister Tony Blair, Google executives, Disney executives, Boeing executives and about 1,000 other heavy hitters, all gathered together to discuss the betterment of global societies, finances and technology among other things. The subject of UFO’s was brought to the table to launch a discussion of thinking bigger and broader. The noted ufologist Stanton Friedman opened his panel with a simple statement of three words: UFO’s are real! The discussion continued on with his proclamation that extraterrestrials exist, UFO’s are real and its time for businesses to start thinking about how contact with extraterrestrials could change their business model and begin implementing changes now. Before he left, he told AOL News that even if UFO’s didn’t exist and extraterrestrials weren’t real, thinking as though they are and pretending they’ve already made contact can help businesses to begin to think on much larger scales and reaching for the seemingly impossible. Friedman was not alone, however, as others discussed the advancements of technology as they follow science fiction, creating somewhat of a self fulfilling prophecy for mankind as we strive to achieve more and many have such as ‘flip’ cell phones, which were originally designed after communicators used in the Star Trek series, and South Korea’s recent choice to use robots instead of humans to teach English to students!

www.allnewsweb.com/page1199999473.php 27 January 2011 Bill Clinton touches on UFO reality in speech Michael Cohen m.cohen@allnewsweb.com Ufologists Nick Pope, Stanton Friedman and Jacques Vallee probably didn't expect to get invitations to the 2011 Global Competitiveness Forum (GFC), held annually in Saudi Arabia. However in a sign of the changing times the conference, sponsored by the Saudi royal family and bringing together some of the biggest names in both business and politics, decided to get serious about the UFO issue and include the topic in the schedule. Nick Pope noted that keynote speaker Bill Clinton, while talking about astrophysics and the discovery of the human genome, remarked in relation to discovering earth-like planets, that "I don't have to tell you what the implications of that would be, if it turned out to be true". It appears in the lead-up to President Barack Obama conceding that the US has some knowledge of intelligent life on other planets, Bill Clinton, who is assumed to have knowledge of alien contact with humanity, has been assigned with a role in preparing humanity for open contact and giving the event a positive spin. it also seems that the Saudis realise it is time to prepare the Islamic and Arab world for the coming cataclysmic changes.

Right now with all of the 'to do' over 2012 people are hunting. They're trying to find answers and willing to look in directions they thought were 'out there' before. The membership in churches will increase, forums like this one will get a lot of attention, and all articles by scientists. People need reassurance that the world isn't about to implode, terrified parents need to know their children won't implode with it. It's going to play inside the minds of almost everyone..creeping around the subconscious..making people edgy and as we get closer...desperate. No one has the answers but way too many say they do and that just feeds the fear. Safe will be the ones who actually believe it's a transition, not an end. Maybe all these aliens are just here to watch the show.

That is very true, Jo. 2012 has been the most popular topic among guests who were doing searches. It seems to be generating a lot of interest among people whom normally would not be interested.

The Denver Post
Mayoral race swells to 16 with entry of Jeff Peckman02/12/2011 01:00:00 AM MST The field in Denver's mayoral race grew to 16 with an announcement Friday from Jeff Peckman that he would enter the race. Peckman was the man behind the ballot initiative last year that would have required the city to create the world's first government-sanctioned extraterrestrial-affairs commission. In 2003, he championed the "Safety Through Peace" initiative, which proposed Denver adopt peacefulness programs to lower "society-wide stress."
