Watched the first episode. It was about Sedona, Arizona. I thought it was excellent! Very well done!

Did you really think it was good, swamp? A lot of the people on facebook were saying it reminded them of that stupid Chasing UFOs show with too much bogus drama and not enough scientific factuality. (I can't believe factuality is actually a word...I thought I just made it up ) I haven't seen the show yet but I'll try to check it out if I'm able to.

It was quite a production--polished and no doubt scripted. However, I thought they presented some intriguing information. I found the photos provided and subsequent "analysis" offered interesting.

Here's a pro-strange account of a visit with the owners of the ranch including a glimpsed grey: www.rense.com/ufo5/uforanch_u.htm. Ive just had a memory surface - I was on St. Joseph's island (near Port Aransas TEX) about 1974. I used to surf and wander there as a young teen, and there were no structures or signs of life. This day I and a woman friend (who was very pregnant!) were beachcombing (having taken a boat over for the day). Walking away from the small dock, we came almost immediately upon a new barbed wire fence line going right into the water's edge. We walked out into the water and around it and IMMEDIATELY were buzzed very low by an unmarked helicopter that stayed over us until we crossed back from the fence. It was very menacing and I don't remember being able to see anyone in the cockpit - mirrored glass maybe? It was either a dull dark color or black - no painted trim or advertisements visible. I had completely forgotten about it until I watched this program.

I just watched the show and it seems like all of the other shows about UFOs and bigfeets and whatever that they make for TV. Lots of ooohs and aahhhs and wows but nothing that I haven't seen before a million times. I could have done without the silly chase after the helicopter and the silly radioactive circle made out of rocks and the phony rattlesnake sounds that they kept adding in for effect. And I really don't see what if anything they discovered in their investigation. Those four UFO "experts" should already know all about every bit of info that they "discovered" during that show so why would they be so surprised to hear about it. Like they just now heard that there are allegations that the government is covering up the truth about UFOs? No kidding? Really?? ... ... Where have they been for the past sixty years? We see better evidence here on the forum just about every day than what they showed on that show. Shami has taken way better photos than the ones those people had. I see black helicopters all the time because the land I often camp out on down in Texas is part of a military training area. I have personally seen helicopters do some really freaky things but I didn't jump in a Jeep and take off after them like a nutball. I dunno...maybe I'm just a bit jaded. After being zapped by a beam of light and poked and prodded like a human pin-cushion by a bunch of little gray space pirates I guess that stone circles and lights in the sky just don't do much for me. I suppose it could have been worse though. I wonder if shows like this are really helpful? A lot of the investigators I know were ripping this Uncovering Aliens show to pieces because it had too much phony drama and not enough serious scientific analysis but I think if any TV show is going to have a chance of being successful with the average TV viewing audience it will probably have to be done that way. A scientist could stare at a petri dish for hours and be totally fascinated by what they see but unless that petri dish suddenly jumps up and stars shooting at somebody the average non-scientific person just isn't going to give a rat's rearend. That's the curse these types of shows have to deal with. They have to try to make things entertaining but since UFOs and ghosts never show up on cue for the camera the producers have to resort to cheap theatrics in order to hold the audience's attention. A lot of UFO people seem to think we need shows like this in order to reach out to the general public...to help raise awareness. I guess they do have a point. The more people there are who are interested in UFOs the better chance we have of figuring out what they are and what the heck they are up to. That's one of the same excuses I always gave for doing this forum. I suppose it is just as applicable to TV shows. I wish the people involved with Uncovering Aliens the best of luck. I don't know if it will last any longer than any of the rest of them but we'll see. I still don't know why it's on Animal Planet though. The only animal I saw during the entire show was that little lizard they put on the "government property" sign.

I sound kind of like JJ don't I? Where's the evidence? Where's the proof?? That's pretty much what I kept yelling at the computer while I was watching the show. I think I need to go drink a glass of milk or eat a sandwich or something before I start frothing at the mouth like all the other rabid skeptics out there.

I just did a little bit of research on St Joseph's Island (also called St Joe's, San Jose and a bunch of other names) and found out that it is owned by a wealthy family named Bass. There is a working cattle ranch down there and they have an armed security force that has Jeeps and helicopters that they use to chase people away. They reportedly do not like trespassers at all. It sounds to me like you must have wandered too close to something that they wanted kept private.

I started running into that in myself too Sky. I have serious trouble watching the alien hunter shows..they seem so darned staged and college preppy. Always seems to be one blonde girl..chesty with a breathy omg presentation that drives me up a wall..covering the same material ten others have covered. I have not seen this one yet..to be fair..but I tend to avoid them. Guarantee..if they crossed the path of the ones I tangoed with...omg would be forgotten amid many more colorful descriptions. Jaded...I'll buy that. The reality...is no where near the supposition IMO

Here's the latest episode of Uncovering Aliens. It has our old buddy Patty (starchild) in it. I can't believe she didn't smack the guy for suggesting chinese lanterns...as if she has never heard that theory before.
