This is a very interesting story. Bio diesel is actually very easy to make. My father in law produces it to run a tractor on his farm. The only problem is that it requires a fairly steep initial investment to begin, about 3 to 10 thousand dollars to make. But when your producing fuel that cost about 75 cents ( thats his current cost , I just called him ;D) to make a gallon of fuel that will give you almost 100 miles to a gallon, its well worth it. The same concept is applies to ethanol. Most people dont know this but the diesel engine was originally designed to run on peanut oil. What we call diesel fuel is actually whats left after oil is refined into gasoline. By the way in a certified diesel mechanic.

So much the better if an organism is secreting what we need...however...most 'solutions' to the fosil fuel crisis..are never heard of again..interesting that oil has made many billionaires while it keeps most of us poor If an alternate fuel were to be found it would probably collapse a few pockets.

The diesel engine was invented by a dude named Rudolf Diesel, who experimented with several types of fuels including coal dust, vegetable oils and peanut oil. Today's petrolium-based diesel fuel was not invented until after Mr. Diesel had died. It's named after the engine that he designed. If this organism really does work the way they claim it will I am sure it will be outlawed by Obama as soon as he finds out about it.

Does this mean we are going to put organisms in our fuel tanks? What if they escape? I don't want any nasty organisms coming after me.

If so, he's in like company because years ago another man came forward with his impressive invention to circumvent fossil fuel. He didn't last long and his invention was not mentioned again. I'm rather convinced it's not the presidents Sky..but other 'elements' working other angles. If there is (and of course there is) a Bilderberg Group, they are people of much affluence and influence in the fields of politics, banking, business, the military and the media. How can you lose with such scope? Now would the worlds wealthiest really want an inexpensive fuel to replace oil? Methinks not.

It's also theoretically possible that this other guy's idea just didn't work. People have a tendency to exaggerate their claims, especially when they are trying to get financial backing for their project. This diesel-producing organism may be a good idea, but it may turn out to be impractical for some reason or another. Maybe we just don't have the technology to do these alternative-fuel ideas yet.
On the other hand, I don't doubt that certain elements in the oil industry are working to protect their interests, especially those in the middle east where oil is power, and they don't have any other viable sources of income. I doesn't surprise me that Obama is putting restrictions on American oil companies while sending tax-payer money overseas to develop drilling and production in foreign countries. I'm sure a lot of that money is making it's way right back to him, as well as to the rest of the political power brokers who are controlling the strings. If this organism does work it will probably be regulated out of existence unless the ones in charge can find some way to reap the profits from it.
I agree that the presidents are not totally in charge though. They may think they are, just like a sock-puppet may think it controls the hand that's sticking up its behind.
