Strange Thing in Russian Skies (photos) - January, 20 2011I don't know what's this thing is. It has been shot two days ago in Siberia. Some say it is a missile launch, but you know... scroll down for all of photoswww.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread654171/pg1

From the same link auntym posted: www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread654171/pg1Yes. There is auroral activity in the background. I noticed it right away having seen it many times. That's what the green glow in the background is. The arcs of white light around this unidentified object also might indicate some form of magnetic phenomenon... but I don't know a whole lot about that sort of thing. ~shrug~ It's interesting to say the least.

Afraid it is just a spectacular missile launch captured in the images under rather special unique the lighting conditions. I noted the auroral activity in the background too (green). The missile exhaust plume is back-lit by the sun beyond the horizon, though it is dusk where the photographer is. A UFO would never be so indiscreet, and a meteor might travel almost horizontal to the Earth, but never upward as the sequence shows. The exhaust plume is probably forming ice crystals in upper atmosphere, in a way looking not too dissimilar to a comet, which it looks similar too in these images. What a beautiful thing to witness. Wow. Steve

If it came from the Russians I hope they weren't aiming it at us. Those are some cool photos.

If the Russians were to launch a missile at the US... it would be launched at Alaska because we're closer...
...
~thinks about this way too long~
...
~gets all paranoid, looking up at the sky~

Hey, I had to sneak into enemy territory to get that info. I'm lucky I made it out alive.
