mysteriousuniverse.org/2018/11/what-its-really-like-to-encounter-the-m-i-b/What It’s Really Like To Encounter The M.I.B.by Nick Redfern / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/nredfern/ November 3, 2018 Over the course of the last few years, here at Mysterious Universe, I have written far more than a few articles on the Men in Black. And, as I have noted in some of those articles, there’s no doubt that encounters with the MIB can range from puzzling to downright terrifying. With this issue in mind – namely, the way in which the witness/victim can be severely affected by such an encounter – I thought I would share with you the words of a good friend of mine – Kimberly Rackley – who has encountered the Men in Black on a number of occasions. Kim is a gifted psychic and her trauma-filled experiences with the MIB serve to demonstrate just what it really feels like to come face-to-face with these black-suited things. Put it this way: it’s not good. In the summer of 2016 (specifically June 22), Kim shared the following with me: “Had an experience last night / morning. A little drained this morning. Freaked me out. I was awoken by what seemed like thousands of voices that were excited and upset. I sometimes hear the astral plane at night but this was crazy. I need to make it stop so I lift into astral and all these entities are everywhere in agitated state. “I ask what’s wrong and they all circle me and then this being very tall and slender all in black suit but with a long coat and gray eyes comes straight for me. The entities circling me close in tighter. They are trying to protect me. But he pushes them away with flick of his hand and I’m suddenly back in my body. There in my room was the man. He had same non-aura energy, like MIB. He pointed at me and the place in my wrist where the previous MIBs always try to place a chip in me started burning. Then I passed out. I feel electric inside, like I’m going to jump out of my skin and I’m nauseated. Kind of frightened. I look like death.” Kim continued: “If you feel like death warmed-over then you most definitely look like death warmed-over as I discovered this morning when I ungraciously made my way to the bathroom. You would feel and look the same if you experienced the more than unnerving events I had. Yours truly is still trembling, not quite certain if it is from the panic of the frightening encounter or the electrical jolt received. Being a medium I am not fearful of the supernatural or unearthly, but there is one thing that has filled me with terror since I was a child and that is the MIB. I’ve told the story of my repetitive MIB encounters before but it suffers repeating because I believe it is significant to the most recent encounter. “From the time I was 8 and witnessed a glowing figure slightly similar to a grey walking down the hallway of my home, I have been subject to frequent MIB visits. These visits are always from the same two men, mostly in my dream state until I began realizing my abilities as a medium and then the visits would occur in meditation or altered states of consciousness. Never before this newest encounter has one been a physical encounter. The two men come to me, usually appearing through my bedroom window. My normal MIB’s resemble ninja’s or soldiers, always in black skin-tight clothing or fatigue uniforms, and always with the aura of intense panic. They will point at me and say ‘No, Kya, not yet.’ I have no idea why they call me Kya. Is it too much to hope for that they have me confused with someone else? I also have no inkling of what ‘not yet’ signifies. They then pull up a holographic ball where they show me that I will be taken away and put in this metal room, underground. The room has one single chair and surrounding me is a bluish force field. Sounds like a science fiction movie, right? Then they point at my right wrist, and a chip appears under my skin. They vanish, leaving me always in full panic mode. “I know you are wondering about the chip. I have yet to discover its purpose but each occasion that they place the chip, I immediately remove it. Alien or dimensional implants are more common than you might imagine and can be detected when you are in the theta state. These implants have an etheric vibration which means they can be removed etherically as well. Lucky for me I am a Theta Facilitator.” Kim had much more to say: “This newest encounter was much different than the above so let me get on with the story. I was awoken around 4am to a thousand voices in my head. It is quite common for me to hear the astral plane but this was like a war going on. I know I have to stop the voices before I end up on Zany Street with men in white coats chasing me. I lift up to the astral where I find the entities in an agitated and anxious state. Curiously they are all gathered in a very close proximity to each other. “I ask what is wrong and the entities immediately circle me. I am not afraid as I have been to the astral many times and have friends here. Suddenly, a very tall man comes from the mist. He is in a black suit and wearing a long coat. The man is whitish-gray, bald, and no facial hair, yeah not even an eyelash. I’m filled with immediate panic because I see no aura or residual of life force energy. The same non-energy I see with the MIB. However, there was an electrical charge around him which is something I always see around the MIB of my past encounters. The entities attempt to tighten the circle around me but the being in black swipes them away with a flick of his hand. I fall back into my body, sit up and to my horror the being is standing in my room. He raises his arm, palm out and I am jolted with a shot of intense energy. I pass out. “When I awaken, it all comes flooding back to me. My body feels as if I am going to jump out of my skin and I am nauseated. I realize that the astral voices may have been attempting to warn me and certainly they were trying to protect me. This indicates that whatever the MIB are, even the astral plane is aware and afraid of them. Could it be that my recent talk with friend and author Nick Redfern on this very subject have triggered this encounter? I believe the MIB have every account of who attempts to reveal them. I’m always left with sheer panic and more questions after an encounter with the MIB. The panic I experience however, won’t stop me from seeking the truth nor will it stop me from being who I am or doing what I do.” Now, you know what it’s really like…

mysteriousuniverse.org/2018/11/men-in-black-are-they-really-the-good-guys/ Men in Black: Are They Really The Good Guys?by Nick Redfern / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/nredfern/November 9, 2018 A few weeks ago I spoke at the annual Texas Bigfoot Conference, held in Jefferson, Texas. During the lunch break, a woman came up to me and asked an interesting question. She had an intriguing scenario to discuss. Having read all of my various books on the Men in Black phenomenon, her question went roughly like this: “Is it possible that the Men in Black are really the good guys, protecting us from the UFO phenomenon?” It’s a thought-provoking scenario and one that does, admittedly, pop up occasionally. She drew parallels with what happens when we take our pets to see the veterinarian. Most people who have ever owned a pet and have had to take her or him to the vet will know how, very often, our furry friends get in a complete state of stress and even fear when they realize where they are going. I recall how, when I lived in the U.K., my dog Susie (a Cairn Terrier who lived to the ripe old age of 18), would shake when she had to get her shots. In fact, she would start to shake as soon as I pulled onto the parking area of the vet’s office. The reason was simple: on occasion, and just being a little dog and with not much muscle, it would hurt her when the needle went in. So, she associated the vet with pain. But, in reality, the vet was actually helping her. Of course, trying to explain that to Susie didn’t work at all! I did try, though. Is it possible that something akin to this is going on with the Men in Black? That was the question posed to me. Well, I’m not convinced (yet…), but a reasonable case can be made that the scenario just might be the correct one. For example, I know of several people whose interest in the UFO subject, over time, went from being an interest to a full-blown obsession. Paranoia set in. They came to do nothing but dig into the UFO issue, almost on a 24/7 basis. Having fun, hanging out with friends, going out and having a good time on a Friday night, and knocking back a few beers went out of the window. I have even seen a couple lives crippled and ruined by Ufology – and I don’t exaggerate when I say that. We’re talking about mental illness, divorce, and even a cry-for-help-style suicide attempt. Thankfully, that doesn’t happen all the time, but it does on occasion. There is something about the UFO subject that, now and then, seems to provoke negativity, paranoia and more to a severe degree. Which is why I strictly work approximately 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (occasionally starting at 8am if I’m down to the wire…), and I keep evenings and weekends solely for a good time (which means soccer, beer, loud music, and girlfriends). “Balance” is the important factor in all of this. Sometimes, however, when it comes to UFOs, balance goes right out of the window and mania sets in. Are the MIB aware of this? And, if so, are they trying to warn us of the potential perils of getting into Ufology? It’s interesting to note that the one man who arguably kicked off the MIB phenomenon in the early 1950s – Albert Bender – was someone who suffered greatly as he got deeper and deeper into the UFO mystery. Bender was an unusual character: he lived in the attic of his stepfather’s home in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He converted it into a kind of “Chamber of Horrors.” He began to delve deep into the world of the supernatural, even to the extent of creating an “altar” in the attic, as a means to call forth supernatural entities. His obsession with UFOs grew. By the time he was thirty, Bender had developed an irrational and overwhelming fear that he had cancer. Bender’s 1962 book, Flying Saucers and the Three Men, reveals that he clearly had Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Everything had to be exactly in its correct place. Bender would seethe and get frustrated if someone happened to move something in his room – even slightly. And then the MIB turned up. At the height of his research into all things saucer-shaped, Bender was “visited” by a trio of shadowy, fedora-wearing Men in Black at his home in Bridgeport. For a while he ignored (or tried to ignore) the orders of the MIB to quit Ufology. Finally, and not long after, Bender really did quit Ufology (except to briefly return and write the aforementioned Flying Saucers and the Three Men). And guess what happened? I’ll tell you: Bender’s fear of cancer went away. He got a girlfriend, who soon became his wife. When Bender died in 2016, he was just six years short of being one hundred. Cancer did not take him at thirty, after all. Life was good. At least, it was specifically after he decided to heed the words of the MIB and he walked away from Ufology. So, you can see where I’m going with all of this. The Bender affair is just one of many that had a tragic and traumatic aspect to it, and which involved someone who had spiraled into a state of paranoia as a result of not finding balance in life. But, the MIB came along and, lo and behold, Bender’s life soon became a great one. In this scenario, the MIB might be to us what the vet was to Susie. We’re utterly incapable of telling man’s best friends that a trip to the vet is actually for their own good. Likewise, perhaps, the clearly non-human Men in Black are incapable of properly getting across the message they want us to get. The result: it looks as if the MIB are threatening people. Maybe, though, they’re just doing their best to keep us away from UFO-driven realms filled with paranoia, obsession, fear and stress. mysteriousuniverse.org/2018/11/men-in-black-are-they-really-the-good-guys/

mysteriousuniverse.org/2018/11/m-i-b-me-the-origins/ M.I.B. & Me: The Originsby Nick Redfern / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/nredfern/November 13, 2018 I was just a kid when I was introduced to the menacing and macabre world of the enigmatic Men in Black, those dark-suited ghouls that terrorize UFO witnesses and researchers alike. I eagerly began reading the disturbing-yet-compelling pages of John Keel’s now-classic title, The Mothman Prophecies, which told of distinctly strange goings-on at Point Pleasant, West Virginia in the mid-to-late 1960s. Come to think of it, “strange goings-on” may not be the correct terminology to use. Outright paranormal foulness and malignancy would be far more apt, methinks. A fiery-eyed winged-thing, surreal reports of contact with enigmatic alien entities on lonely, moonlit, tree-shrouded roads, occult phenomena plaguing the entire town by the dead of night, and lives manipulated and transformed in ways near-unimaginable were the order of the day. And then there was the brooding, predatory, and repeated manifestations of the dreaded MIB who, I got the distinct impression, were pulling the supernatural strings of just about all those myriad entities and unspeakable things that had chosen Point Pleasant as their targets. For reasons I have never truly been able to fathom, from that very day onward I became particularly fascinated by the actions of the Men in Black, their silencing of UFO witnesses, their near-ethereal presence in our world, and, of course, their overwhelming and mysterious elusiveness. Who, or more likely what, were they? From where did they originate? What did they want of us? Why were they so deeply intent on silencing Flying Saucer-seekers? The further and deeper I dug into the subject, the more I found myself attempting to penetrate the veil of unsettling darkness and hostility that seemed to forever surround the MIB. In the immediate years that followed my reading of John Keel’s legendary study of Mothman, I sought out just about as many works on the MIB as was conceivably possible. And, at the absolute top of my list – in undeniably joint first-place – were Gray Barker’s 1956 title They Knew Too Much about Flying Saucers and a small and overwhelmingly bizarre book titled Flying Saucers and the Three Men. The latter was penned in 1962 by a curious and undeniably paranoid character named Albert Bender, without who there simply would be no MIB puzzle. Period. Barker, who had a flair for all-things dramatic, was the perfect person to address the MIB mystery – even though a self-admitted combination of embellishment, parable and exaggeration was his typical and controversial style. But, Barker would never have been in a position to do much of an MIB nature had it not been for the eccentric and occult-obsessed Bender, who, in 1953, was allegedly silenced by a trio of black-garbed, blazing-eyed entities from some strange netherworld after getting too close to the truth about Flying Saucers. As time went on I also learned, unfortunately, that Barker would tell a tale purely for for effect. He was also someone who was willing to hoax, to fabricate, and to outright lie in the name of the M.I.B. In other words, reading Barker’s works requires one to be on one’s guard all of the time. His writings do contain facts, but there is a hell of a lot of fiction and lying there, too. All of that just has to have a bearing on the early days of M.I.B. lore and legend. Far less Mulder and Scully, and far more H.P. Lovecraft meets Devil Girl from Mars meets Bram Stoker, Flying Saucers and the Three Men presented the MIB not as government agents of the Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones variety, but as harshly cold and emotionless aliens who seemed to be as familiar with matters occult and nightmarish as they were with UFOs and faraway, fantastic worlds. Appearing as well-dressed, pale-faced corpses, the terrible trio intimidated and terrified the obsessive-compulsive Bender to the point of near physical and emotional collapse. No wonder he quit Ufology and moved onto other things, such as focusing on the works of Austrian composer, Max Steiner, who was responsible for the soundtracks to the original of King Kong and Gone with the Wind. Indeed, in 1965, Bender established the Max Steiner Music Society, and left his old life firmly in the past. As for Barker, in 1984 it was ill-health, rather than the black-garbed ones, that took him before he reached sixty. Keel continued on for a quarter of a century after Barker, still caught up in – yet never, ever quite resolving – the conundrum of the three shadowy men from beyond the veil. Of course, as my teens became my twenties, and then my thirties, my views on the MIB phenomenon changed, in some ways subtly, but in other ways far less so. But there was one thing that never did alter: My earnest wish to solve the puzzle of the true nature, origin and intent of the Men in Black. Since those days of my childhood, I have pursued the MIB on a scale that has easily far exceeded my quests for the truth about Bigfoot, the Chupacabras, and Roswell combined. My first book, A Covert Agenda, which was published in 1997, detailed a number of curious MIB-style encounters in the U.K. from the 1950s onward. My 2003 title, Strange Secrets, included a chapter on the little-known issue of government files on the Men in Black. Three years later, I penned On the Trail of the Saucer Spies, which was a full-length study of the secret surveillance of certain elements of the UFO research community by MIB-type characters in government. Then, in 2011, The Real Men in Black hit the bookshelves. This latter title from me specifically addressed the paranormal side of the MIB phenomenon. And, in that same year, I wrote a new foreword to an updated and expanded edition of Gray Barker’s 1983 book: M.I.B.: The Secret Terror among Us. Since then, I’ve written Men in Black, Women in Black, and The Black Diary. As well as a book on the ultimate Man in Black, the Slenderman. It has been a curious journey, to say the least… mysteriousuniverse.org/2018/11/m-i-b-me-the-origins/

Hmmmmm, I forget which book by Redfern I have downstairs.
I believe that it is also Nick, who told his many readers about a particular guy that SEEMED like an MIB, wandering around Point Pleasant during their Ufoe flap. A weird government type, that has since been discovered as a “real weird government type” after all. 😖😉
Not sure where I read that recently, but surely I saved that article to my phone

mysteriousuniverse.org/2018/11/strange-visitors-i-can-find-you-anywhere-any-time/ Strange Visitors: “I can find you anywhere, any time”by Nick Redfern / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/nredfern/ November 17, 2018 Born on March 3, 1952, Robert A. Goerman is a native of New Kensington, Pennsylvania. As an investigative scholar of unknown and unexplained phenomena, he has been fortunate enough to have his writings featured in national magazines and serve as source material for many books and popular television shows such as Unsolved Mysteries, The Unexplained, History’s Mysteries, Animal X, MonsterQuest, and Dark Matters: Twisted But True. Founded in June of 2012, his Nonhuman Research Agency explores encounters with mysterious strangers, beings, and creatures and studies interspecific relationships. Robert offers his very own insights into the Men in Black mystery, based upon his firsthand investigations of a very weird case from the 1960s that is steeped in menace of the black-colored kind. It is a case that has led Robert to some thought-provoking theories concerning the nature and actions of the MIB, too. With that all said, over to Robert: “One bizarre Pennsylvania case (that I personally investigated) began on the night of January 20, 1967, when Mrs. Walter Kushner and her two daughters, Susan (17) and Tanya (14) and a close friend of the girls, Marianne Williamson (16), witnessed a brilliant UFO drop below the cloud cover and maneuver at high speed while the four were returning to the Kushner’s Pittsfield residence. Hours later, as the three girls enjoyed a ritual teenage slumber party, they spotted a peculiar light shimmering through the closed curtains of Susan’s bedroom. “Without warning, the drapes parted of their own volition and a small triangular object hovering a few feet from the house began beaming brilliant light into the bedroom. When the triangle moved to another window, the curtains repeated their opening act and the intensity of light emanating from the object increased. At this point, the girls became quite frightened and decided to retreat. ‘It’ had different ideas. “All three girls found themselves unable to move or cry out. Sheer terror escalated to fervent prayers for help. After what seemed like an eternity, the siege ended. Although their freedom of movement was restored, a weird dizzy sensation haunted the girls for an hour. The girls awoke Mrs. Kushner and tearfully described the party crasher and their fear that ‘it’ might return. Mother eventually got the trio settled down and after much discussion decided that it would be for the best if everyone simply forgot an incident that nobody would believe anyway. All agreed. “Things were back to normal when shortly after the dinner hour on Saturday, exactly one week following the horrific pajama party, two men arrived at the Kushner household. They identified themselves as military investigators and flashed what appeared to be United States Air Force identification. Both men wore tan trench-coats which they kept buttoned from knee to collar. The taller of the two, who, according to the family’s testimony, did all the talking, was described as having blond hair, green eyes, was thin and deeply tanned. The other gentleman was heavyset with dark hair, piercing blue eyes and was also deeply tanned. “Mrs. Kushner explained that both men wanted every shred of information regarding the UFO that the girls claimed had intimidated them. Neither parent can explain to this day why they allowed their children to be so intensely grilled by these ‘government agents.’ These characters moved about the house with apparently total knowledge of the whereabouts of rooms, furniture, objects, et cetera. When asked how the Air Force learned of the UFO sightings, the taller one responded with, ‘We know a lot of things, a lot of things.’ “Although compelled to accept the situation, the family felt that something seemed off-center, something that, for whatever reason, they couldn’t quite put their finger on until after the officers departed. Sue noted that their clothes looked as if they had purchased them in a clothing store ten minutes before and even the bottom of their shoes seemed unwalked on in appearance. The cigarette pack held by the taller one was unopened (and stayed that way) and even his wallet was brand new. “While the taller of the two showed his captive audience a loose-leaf notebook with professionally printed schematic diagrams and photos of both the exterior and interior views of various types of UFO-type craft, Sue watched the shorter officer secretly write in an elongated notebook not unlike those used by stenographers. Catching him off guard, she was amazed to see him writing strange symbols in vertical columns, starting from the left, going down one column, up the next, down the third, up the fourth, et cetera. Being accustomed to standard shorthand, Sue had no idea of the graphic’s origin. “Meanwhile, the talkative officer continued to mystify his audience, telling them that UFOs were nothing more than secret U. S. experimental devices which have never harmed persons or property and that public disclosure of seeing one up close could result in criminal prosecution. When Tanya asked how the family could get in touch with them should there be another sighting, the officer replied, ‘I can find you anywhere, any time.’ When these military men finally left, they backed their vehicle out onto the roadway, extinguished the headlights and zoomed off into the night. It is against Pennsylvania commonwealth traffic laws, and all common sense and safety, to drive after sunset without suitable lighting. These gentlemen probably had no connection with the United States Air Force. “Men in Black are neither hallucinations nor hoaxes. But what do these visitations represent? Role-playing covert government operatives? Nonhumans acting human? Maybe a little of both. Maybe something beyond our comprehension. Odd appearance and bizarre behavior does not certify the existence of nonhumans among us. However, dissolving coins and cars raise interesting questions. Our failure to understand these events in no way negates their validity. “These visitations represent entity contact at its most accessible in that entire families have endured grueling visits by these mystery men and many witnesses are harassed more than once. These visitations represent entity contact at its most elusive. Parents wonder why they allowed their children to be so intensely grilled by these strangers. Victims speak of being unable to think or react normally until after the mysterious visitors leave. To some, this suggests altered states of consciousness or subliminal hypnotic techniques. What if the MIB visit you? Will you be witty and clever and insist they pose for a snapshot? Or will you be a deer in headlights and spend your tomorrows wondering why?” mysteriousuniverse.org/2018/11/strange-visitors-i-can-find-you-anywhere-any-time/

mysteriousuniverse.org/2018/11/sinister-visitors-both-were-no-more-than-silhouettes/ Sinister Visitors: “Both were no more than silhouettes”by Nick Redfern November 17, 2018 A couple of days ago, I wrote an article on a strange MIB-themed case from the 1960s that Robert Goerman investigated. The article began as follows: “Born on March 3, 1952, Robert A. It is a case that has led Robert to some thought-provoking theories concerning the nature and actions of the MIB, too.” Robert has generously given me permission to use the accounts he has sent me. The following from Robert demonstrates just how downright weird the MIB phenomenon really is. It’s an account that is focused on an MIB experience he had in the dream state. Interestingly, I receive from people a lot of very graphic, dream-based experiences with the Men in Black. It’s a situation which has led some witnesses/victims to suspect the MIB can literally “invade” their dreams and turn them into downright nightmares. Over to Robert: “Before you continue reading, let me preface this post by confessing that the MiB ‘visit’ was merely a dream shard. I would never even publish my experience if not for its curious physical aftermath. It is also necessary to point out that I have resided at my present residence for much of my life. This was my childhood home. It was inherited upon the passing of my parents. The bedroom that I now occupy as an adult was at one time shared for many years with my younger brother. There was barely enough room for two twin beds and a tiny writing nook where I documented my early research on a vintage Smith-Corona typewriter. “The dream that I had shortly after midnight on Monday, July 18, 2016 found me seated at my writing nook as a young man (1969 or 1970) at night. I was typing a report about the Men in Black and uttered to myself that these scenarios echoed the MIB cases reported by Brad Steiger. My desk lamp was the only light source in the room. Movement off to my left caught my attention and I turned my head. Two Men in Black, wearing the classic fedoras, stood not six feet away, between the twin beds, blocking any hope at escape. The closest one was about my height. His companion was a head taller. Both were no more than silhouettes. There were no details. Escape was the last thing on my mind. “I remember saying, ‘I have been looking forward to this,’ jumping up, and grabbing the shorter MIB by his arms between the elbows and shoulders. (Anecdotal information suggests that the MIB hate being touched by humans. I knew this.) BIG MISTAKE. It was like grabbing a high voltage tornado! In fact, the MIB became a whirling blur of time and space. My left arm was being ripped from its socket. I screamed that high-pitched scream that only excruciating pain can create. Pain beyond pain. Folks that have experienced certain traumatic accidents know exactly what I mean. “Hearing my cries for help, my wife awakened me. I snapped fully awake to the horror that the pain in my left arm and shoulder was quite real. (My firsthand relationship with pain comes from the agony of a herniated disc that required spinal surgery and too many kidney stones.) I understand pain. This was real pain. Maybe not quite as extreme as those two previous examples… but still, as real as it gets. It took a healthy dose of Ibuprofen and the gentle working of the tender arm and shoulder to make things tolerable. Traces of soreness lasted most of the day. It is what it is.” mysteriousuniverse.org/2018/11/sinister-visitors-both-were-no-more-than-silhouettes/

www.history.com/news/men-in-black-real-origins?cmpid=TWITTER_TWITTER__20190109&linkId=62155245 Jul 20, 2018 The UFO Sightings That Launched 'Men in Black' MythologyIn all of their different incarnations, the Men in Black usually have one main purpose: to muzzle witnesses of strange, paranormal phenomena. by Justin Sablich / www.history.com/author/justin-sablich The cover of Gray Barker's book, They Knew Too Much About Flying Saucers. Mary Evans Picture Library/Everett It's possible that the story of the Men in Black, the mysterious figures that would become the subject of fascination in UFO conspiracy circles and eventually break into mainstream popular culture, can be traced back to one day: June 27, 1947. It's quite possible that it all started with a man, a boy and a dog on a boat. As the story goes, Harold Dahl was on a conservation mission on the Puget Sound near the eastern shore of Washington’s Maury Island, gathering logs, when he saw six donut-shaped obstacles hovering about a half a mile above his boat. Before long, one of them fell nearly 1,500 feet, followed by raining, metallic debris, some of which hit Dahl’s son, Charles, on his arm, as well as the family dog, who didn’t survive the ordeal. Dahl was able to take some pictures of the aircraft with his camera, which he later showed to his supervisor, Fred Crisman. A skeptical Crisman went back to the scene to look for himself and saw a strange aircraft with his own eyes. The following morning, Dahl was visited by a man in a black suit. They end up at a local diner, where the man was able to recount in extraordinary detail what Dahl had just experienced. “What I have said is proof to you that I know a great deal more about this experience of yours than you will want to believe,” the man said, according to author Gray Barker’s 1956 book They Knew Too Much About Flying Saucers. Dahl was told not to speak of the incident. If he did, bad things would happen. The supposed events of Maury Island have continued to fuel conspiracy theories to this day, even though a U.S. government investigation deemed it a hoax after Dahl and Crimson later admitted as much. In particular, the mention of the man in the black suit would evolve into a key obsession for UFO enthusiasts and spread into American popular culture, thanks to a comic-book series and a blockbuster movie trilogy. In all of their different incarnations, the Men in Black (MIB) usually have one main purpose: to muzzle witnesses of strange, paranormal phenomena. They almost always wear black suits and hats with dark sunglasses, drive black cars and arrive in groups of two or three. Some describe them as one would an FBI agent, while others recall the MIB as having strange appearances, sometimes with supernatural features like glowing eyes and strange complexions. So how did we get from Harold Dahl to Will Smith? "The transformation of the story from a first press report to a folkloric tale to a comic book and now to a film illustrates how the myth is transformed,” wrote Phil Patton in The New York Times around the time the first Men in Black movie was released in 1997. “That process is not unlike the children's game of 'telephone' or what the literary critic Harold Bloom calls 'innovation by misinterpretation.' " Sticking with the telephone analogy, the first call was made to Kenneth Arnold, a pilot who had his own alleged UFO sighting on June 24, 1947 near Mt. Rainier, Washington. Though it happened three days after the Maury Island incident, it was the first widely reported sighting and it “touched off the saucer sensation,” as was written in a 1949 government report on “Flying Saucers.” The report states that Dahl and Crimson reached out to a Chicago magazine in an attempt to sell their story, and the magazine editor then contacted Arnold, hoping he could help verify their account. Arnold then “summoned two officers of Army A-2 Intelligence to aid in the investigation of Dahl and Crisman's claim,” according to the report. In July 1947, two Army A-2 Intelligence officers came to investigate. After leaving in their B-25 the next day, the plane caught fire and crashed, killing both officers and doing nothing to quiet UFO conspiracists. But the Maury Island story gained little notice in the UFO community until Barker’s 1956 book, in which he wrote of his “file on the Maury Island case” that largely consisted of the writings by Ray Palmer, the Chicago magazine editor referred to in the government’s report. Barker went on to connect the dots between “the man, who wore a black suit” who took Dahl to breakfast and three similarly dressed men who allegedly visited a young UFO enthusiast named Albert K. Bender in 1953. It was Bender who “almost single-handedly ushered in the plague of the Men in Black—just as Arnold inaugurated the era of the UFO,” Ufologist Nick Redfern wrote in his book The Real Men in Black. But it was Barker’s book that told Bender’s story, thus introducing the concept of the MIB to a much wider audience. (The telephone-game analogy is still holding.) “It still has an important legacy,” said Robert Sheaffer, a UFO researcher. “Before its publication, nobody outside a very narrow group of subscribers to flying-saucer newsletters had ever heard of Bender, or his MIB.” Barker described Bender’s visitors as: “Three men in black suits with threatening expressions on their faces. Three men who walk in on you and make certain demands. Three men who know that you know what the saucers really are!” Bender, in his own 1962 book Flying Saucers and the Three Men, described the MIB in much more frightening language. “They floated about a foot off the floor… They looked like clergymen, but wore hats similar to Homburg style. The faces were not clearly discernible, for the hats partly hid and shaded them… The eyes of all three figures suddenly lit up like flashlight bulbs… They seemed to burn into my very soul as the pains above my eyes became almost unbearable,” wrote Bender. Barker would go on to write several more books related to the paranormal and UFOs, including 1970’s The Silver Bridge, which helped spread the story of another popular paranormal figure, the creature known as Mothman. But how much of his writing was done in good faith has been called into question by many in the UFO-research community. “Barker made it clear to me that he did not take the MIB or Mothman very seriously,” says Sheaffer, who corresponded with Barker on occasion. “However, he believed that there was still 'something mysterious' about the whole UFO and paranormal thing.” Regardless of Barker’s motives, countless MIB encounters have been reported since They Knew Too Much was published nearly 60 years ago, and at least one more movie is on the way. www.history.com/news/men-in-black-real-origins?cmpid=TWITTER_TWITTER__20190109&linkId=62155245

mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/02/m-i-b-rarely-seen-on-ufos/ M.I.B.: Rarely Seen On UFOsby Nick Redfern / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/nredfern/February 20, 2019 If there is one thing which can be said about the Men in Black, it’s that they are inextricably tied to the UFO phenomenon. Alien abductees have been visited and threatened by the MIB. The Men in Black have intimidated people who have seen UFOs soaring in the skies above them. Researchers and investigators of the matter of unidentified flying objects have been intimidated into silence by the pale-faced, scrawny MIB. We see the Men in Black threatening people in their own homes, following them in black cars late at night, and terrifying them with threat-filled phone calls. But, we rarely get reports of Men in Black seen on-board UFOs. Taking into consideration their undeniable links to all things flying and saucer-shaped, you would assume that the black-garbed things would be seen regularly on-board UFOs. Nope. In fact, the number of such cases on record are extremely small. As to why this might be, well, that’s an issue which remains baffling. In my own files, I only have a handful of such cases. One really stands out. A particularly creepy story was given to me by a woman named Melanie Tompkins. The year was 2015 and Melanie was then living in Oklahoma City. At the time, she was in her early twenties and for around three years she had suffered from alien abductions. I say “suffered” because Melanie’s encounters with non-human entities were always traumatic, terrifying and painful. There was the usual missing time, “genetic experiments,” and graphic images in her mind of nuclear war and the end of the world. There was nothing positive at all about Melanie’s experiences; not even once. During one of her many abduction experiences, said Melanie, she encountered what could only be described as a Man in Black. It was on-board the UFO. Since I hardly ever get reports like this one, I quickly replied to Melanie’s Facebook message and we had a long chat about her experiences. While laying on a cold table and being subjected to intrusive experiments of a medical kind, Melanie saw a Man in Black materialize in the room, at the foot of the table. And when I say that the MIB materialized, I mean exactly that. One second it wasn’t there and the next it was. This was not your average Man in Black, however (if there is such a thing!). Rather, it was one of the dangerous and bone-chilling Shadow People. Specifically, it was a sub-category of the Shadow People known as the Hat-Man. It’s a shadow-like figure that wears a black suit, a white shirt, a thin and black tie, and an old-style Fedora hat. That’s exactly how Melanie described her “visitor.” Sometimes, the Hat-Man appears as nothing but a dark silhouette. Of course, that imagery of the fedora-wearing entity provokes parallels with the MIB, and particularly so those seen from the 1940s to the 1970s. I still get reports of the fedora-wearing MIB type today. Such reports are far less in number now, however, than they were fifty or sixty years ago, when John Keel and Brad Steiger were collecting such cases. Melanie was horrified by the sight of the shadowy humanoid, which stood around six-foot in height. Unlike most Men in Black – who are described as skinny, even emaciated – this one had a bulky build, it was even muscular. But, it had that skinny tie and familiar hat. Melanie felt – with hindsight – that the MIB was overseeing the situation and that the small, black-eyed, large-headed creatures that were using her like a lab rat were “robots” who were following the needs and wants of the Man in Black. Namely, DNA and blood. Bizarrely, at times the Man in Black would take on a “smokey”-like appearance, as if he (or it) could change form from that of a physical being to a gaseous entity. As I said, I only have several such cases on record. And, admittedly, I’m puzzled as to why – for beings that are so deeply linked to the UFO mystery – the MIB should hardly ever be seen inside UFOs. Are they overlords – as Melanie suggested – who usually watch in stealth and from afar? Occasionally making themselves known to those who they select for abduction? The questions, potentially, are many. The answers? There are none. Yet… mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/02/m-i-b-rarely-seen-on-ufos/

mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/03/the-ufo-phenomenon-when-people-get-sick-and-tired/ The UFO Phenomenon: When People Get Sick and Tiredby Nick Redfern / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/nredfern/ March 13, 2019 Over the years there have been numerous investigators of the Men in Black phenomenon, such as UFO researchers Gray Barker, Jim Keith, and Harold Fulton – all of whom are now long gone. None of them, however, came anywhere close to Albert K. Bender. He was the man without whom our knowledge of the MIB and their agenda would be sorely lacking, and who created the International Flying Saucer Bureau (IFSB). Born in 1922, Bender was someone who served his country during the Second World War in the United States Army Air Corps. Post-World War Two, Bender lived in Bridgeport, Connecticut, in a somewhat creepy-looking old house that stood at what was, at the time, the junction of Broad Street and North Frontage Road. Today, the house is no more, the secrets it once held now being just memories and stories in books. Adding to the creepy atmosphere, Bender lived in the attic. Of course! Where else? As a fan of the worlds of sci-fi-, fictional horror (H.P. Lovecraft was one of Bender’s favorites), and the real world of the paranormal, Bender radically altered his attic-room into what he termed his “Chamber of Horrors.” Paintings of grotesque monsters filled the walls. Imagery of skulls and black cats abounded. A Gothic-style painting of an old cemetery dominated the room. And, plastic spiders hung from the ceiling. Then, there was Bender’s altar – it was at the foot of that unsettling place of worship that Bender would engage in infernal rites designed to provoke a supernatural response from…well…who knew what? Bender didn’t care what “it” was, he just wanted that reply. He got it, alright. He opened the kind of door that it’s never, ever wise to open. And, something came through. As Albert Bender noted in his 1962 book, Flying Saucers and the Three Men, in practically no time after he called forth something supernatural from the other side, he was paid a visit. Yes, the Men in Black had picked up on Bender’s request for communication – and they responded in kind. Bender was replying to a mountain of mail from the readers of the latest issue of his Space Review magazine when he received his first visit of what, finally, amounted to several. It was late one night in 1953 when the MIB turned up. There was no slow, loud, knock at the door, though. Nor were any U.S. Government ID cards flashed. Bender’s Men in Black walked through the walls and door of the attic. They were shining-eyed, pale monsters. Their mode of dress was black suits, black fedoras, skinny black-ties, black shoes, and crisp white shirts. Imagine a 1950s-era member of the Mafia mixed in with a liberal amount of a resurrected zombie that has seen better days, and the image swirling around your mind won’t be too far off what it was that Bender encountered. As the Men in Black got closer, so Bender got weaker. His energy levels plummeted like those of a diabetic who has missed breakfast, lunch and dinner. He was freezing cold and the shakes had suddenly set in. Even in his hazy, sickly state, Bender couldn’t fail to see something which chilled him to the bone: the weaker he got, the brighter and more fiery the eyes of the terrible trio got. Weaker, brighter. Weaker, brighter. You get the picture. Bender certainly did. In a macabre and terrifying way…Albert Bender was, bit by bit, being eaten; devoured, even. With Bender sprawled out on the bed, and as helpless as a newborn puppy, the Men in Black telepathically warned him to leave the UFO subject well alone. If he didn’t only something terrible would befall the man himself. The three turned on their heels (black, of course) and dematerialized as mysteriously as they had first appeared. Bender was no fool: he knew that if he didn’t quit chasing flying saucers that the MIB were surely likely to turn his life into a living hell. But, the allure of the space-beings and their silvery, saucer-shaped craft was way too strong. So, it was all but inevitable that Bender would get another visit. And another. He did. Things got worse and worse: like those ghoulish drivers who can’t keep their eyes off of a fatal car accident on the highway, the MIB couldn’t keep away from Bender: they would always arrive at night and hover over the bed, as Bender fell into that same state of sudden illness and weakness that hit him on the first occasion. By the second visit, Bender’s health was suffering significantly: he had gotten progressively weaker. He started to develop stomach problems. From his descriptions, it may have been ulcers and a dose of ulcerative-colitis. His energy levels had fallen off the scale and he lost weight. He was constantly out of breath. And migraines plagued him day and night. As for those MIB? Well, their eyes just proceeded to get brighter and brighter with every visit. It didn’t take Bender long to realize that he was effectively being bled dry. It was, in a strange way, very similar to the actions of those black-cloaked vampires who drained bevies of buxom babes of their blood in the likes of Universal Studios’ 1931 version of Bram Stoker’s classic novel, Dracula, starring Bela Lugosi. In a very strange state of twisted irony, the movie was one of Bender’s all-time favorites. Come the third visit, Bender was not in a good condition at all: he was now seeing the MIB in the darkened streets of town. They would stand on the street-corner, leering at him – entities that no-one but Bender could see. The stomach problems were getting worse. He was losing more weight. Bender knew he had to do something. And, he did. Bender, albeit somewhat reluctantly, walked away from UFOs and closed down Space Review. Bender shut the doors on the International Flying Saucer Bureau, too, and quit the subject. He made a very brief reappearance in 1962, to write the aforementioned Flying Saucers and the Three Men, after which he left the subject behind and never returned. From the 1960s, and until his death in 2016, Bender was, when it came to UFOs, permanently AWOL. mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/03/the-ufo-phenomenon-when-people-get-sick-and-tired/

mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/04/a-tale-of-a-trio-of-skinny-creatures-in-black/ A Tale of a Trio of Skinny Creatures in Blackby Nick Redfern / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/nredfern/April 3, 2019 As someone who uses social media a lot, I get a great deal of feedback from people wishing to share with me their experiences of the weird kind. Those experiences range from the vaguely odd to the downright sinister. The account I’m going to share with you today definitely falls into the sinister category. On April 28, 2018, I got the following communication from someone who preferred not to use their real name. It reads as follows: “I’m 55 years old and have known about MIB since the 70s. Personally, the majority of the visits are, in my opinion, demonically orchestrated. I have learned, due to my belief system, not to make these events complicated. It is exactly what it portrays itself to be! Having the gift of discernment reveals what these hybrids are, that is evil! I call the feelings and smells are all ‘symptoms’ of a demonic encounter! If you agree with this, then the obvious next conclusion is that these so-called ‘aliens’ are also demonic and what does the demonic dwell in? They dwell in shadows! They do not want to found out! “UFO encounters out them and their hybrids and satanic agendas. After all, it is about soul collecting, is it not? I reside on the West Coast of Lake Michigan. My front door faces directly 8 miles from an active nuclear power plant that is, within months, being decommissioned. This process can take up to 20 years. I live in the ‘hot zone’ range of this very old plant. For three years, due to living on a hill with a spectacular view of the open sky, I have witnessed UFO activity coming directly from the nuclear power plant and fly slowly right over my head. With incredible lighting and maneuvers like your Father mentioned to you. Including complete ‘stand still hoovering.’ I have also felt that I have been discovered witnessing this and have had some type of acknowledgment from the crafts. It hard to explain. I just know they know that I see them! Usually I witness them around 11:00 p.m. and beyond. “Anyhow, something different happened last August, 2017. As I stated, I live on a hill with a steep drop off approximately 30 feet from my door. This is a brand new apartment complex and a very short road runs in front of my back patio door. I should have originally said I’m witnessing these events from my back patio. The road runs to the right for about 100 feet and turns right to the front of the complex. Around 1:00 a.m. I felt compelled to go out unto my patio and look right. Now below the hill is nothing but woods. I saw 3 very tall, slender men come up the hill, unto the road, in perfect formation, walking extremely slow, dressed completely the same, all in black and suddenly stop! “All 3 turned their heads directly towards me and just stood still! It seemed like minutes but I don’t think it was. I actually felt an electric charge go from my feet, straight up my back up to my head. Not only that, the fear I felt and also a sickness in my stomach was nothing I have felt EVER in my lifetime. I knew they were EVIL. They slowly moved their heads in complete synchronized fashion forward and slowly, and I mean slowly, continued to walk forward and disappeared from sight. I know exactly what i just witnessed! That was pure evil. Now, with that being said, I don’t know if it was a warning, a visit, or what. I have not spoken about this event until now! Summer is almost here again and I wonder what I will witness.” mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/04/a-tale-of-a-trio-of-skinny-creatures-in-black/

'Men in Black' Threaten US Coast Guard CrewPosted by Lon Strickler The following is an interesting report from NUFORC:
Occurred: 5/22/1973 23:00 Reported: 7/31/2010 2:54:55 PM 14:54 Posted: 8/24/2010 Location: Atlantic Ocean (USCG Cutter "Spencer"), UFO sighting aboard Coast Guard Cutter Spencer As per your phone call earlier today, I will restate what we experienced while aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Spencer WHEC-36, (commissioned in 1936 and decommissioned in 1974.) There is a new Spencer in service, but this is not the one I was aboard. My ship was a 327 ft Cutter. It can be viewed if you Google Coast Guard Cutter Spencer WHEC-36. I have tried to the best of my ability to recall the date, but since we stood so many Ocean Stations, it is hard to remember which of those this occured. The conditions were warm, seas calm, and sighting occurred during the night. There were 140 mean aboard the Spencer, and a large number of my fellow crewmen witnessed what I did. Officers and enlisted men saw what I saw. I remember a ((specialty deleted)) had some state-of-the-art photo equipment. I think he had an Olympus camera with telephoto lens. He was at least one crewmen photographing this UFO. We were in the middle of the Atlantic, all running lights on as usual. I remember someone saying come on deck, there's a UFO. The UFO had bright lights that changed color. It was if the UFO was checking us out. A ship with all its running lights on would be easily seen from above in the Atlantic. I was ((specialty deleted)). Some names I remember were fellow ((specialties deleted)). ((name #1 deleted)), ((name #2 deleted)) and ((name #3 deleted)). I can't be sure they were aboard for this Duty, but I'm sure at least one was. I can not remember the others. The UFO would come down hovering above us. We could see what I would describe as portholes. I rotated as it hovered. The lights changed color. Then it would go up in a second becoming very small. Then it seemed to show off, as if it knew we were watching it. It would accelerate across the sky in a split second while doing right angles. Many photos of this craft were taken with telephoto lens. I remember I couldn't wait to see the photos after they were developed. I never saw them. The show lasted about an hour. Messages of this sighting were sent to Washington, DC. When we were relieved from Ocean Station Duty, we headed back to Governor's Island, Yankee Pier, where was our home port. We were not expecting the reception that we received. As we were docking, I saw quite a few "Men in Black" waiting to board our ship. Usually after docking, if you did not have duty, we were granted liberty of usually 72 hours. No one was allowed to leave the ship. We were all interrogated one by one by these "Men in Black". We were told to sign an affidavit, stating we saw nothing. We were warned that if we mention this to anyone, we would be gone. We were told not to go to any news media, and try and tell this story. If we did, we would be prosecuted by the government. I found out later that my friend, the ((specialty deleted)) had all of his photo equipment, pictures, and developing equipment confiscated. He was not reimbursed for any of his expensive equipment, it was simply taken from him. I will end the story here, to be brief as possible. Please give me a call at ((number deleted)) my home phone after receiving this, so I know you received it. Please keep this confidential as possible. I'm sure you will. I will research the internent and my old photos, to see if I can get some crew member names. Thank you, ----- Ref: UFO sighting CGC Spencer. I await further correspondence. I have obtained quite a few names and their ranks of men who served aboard the CGC Spencer. I have tried to contact as many as possible by leaving my email at a web site devoted to those who served aboard the CGC Spencer. No one has responded as yet, but this is one of those sites where you post comments on a board. If you would like to check the site out its www.fred'splace.org then at the right site click on CGC Cutters M thru Z, then Spencer, then during the 70's. I am not sure if I sent you an email address, so you may contact me at ((name deleted)) I appreciate your confidentiality of all info supplied. Do you have a time frame needed before going on the air again? I have agreed to be on your program. Thank You! ----- I have roughly 30 names of my shipmates, as well as, the captain and 1st Lt of Operations' names. I will not enter their names in this box as instructed. I will await further correspondence. Are you still planning to have me as a guest on the radio? mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/04/huge-dark-eyes-a-strange-baby-and-the-m-i-b/ “Huge Dark Eyes” – A Strange Baby and the M.I.B.by Nick Redfern / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/nredfern/April 26, 2019 Denise Stoner is a UFO researcher and author (see, for example, her 2013 book with Kathleen Marden, The Alien Abduction Files). Over the years, Denise has very generously allowed me to share some of her experiences of the UFO type. One, for me, really stands out when it comes to matters of a high-strangeness nature. With that said, I’ll turn things over to Denise and an experience she had just a few years ago: “I would be glad to describe the situation to you as it has remained clear as crystal in my mind. As for my Mom, she knows something happened but it has gotten foggy and she doesn’t know why, yet she recalls something happened that made her feel very uncomfortable. My Mom and I had gone to the mall on Christmas Eve for a couple of last minute stocking stuffer type gifts. We actually knew what we wanted so parked outside J.C. Penney’s on the side where those goods were. We went in and immediately noticed that in late afternoon, there were only a few shoppers. We picked out our gifts and got in line at the cashier in back of two other people. We could easily see the exit door and the sun in the parking lot, we were facing that way. “The glass doors opened and two very tall, thin women entered. They had long almost waist length blond hair parted in the middle on top and it was thin in texture. Their skin was also pale and I did not notice any make up but each had huge piercing blue eyes. Their gait was odd like they were too tall (approximately 6’1) to walk smoothly. I was already an investigator for MUFON so was aware of oddities in people and had done background searches for the Federal Govt. so was trained to be observant. “They were pushing one of those umbrella style strollers with no fancy attachments – just the hammock type bed, wheels, and handles. I noticed they had no purses or accessories such as a diaper bag to carry diapers or bottles, etc. The women moved slowly it seemed and drew my attention to the stroller. There was a baby blanket in the bottom portion and on top the head of a baby no bigger than a small grapefruit, pasty colored skin, no noticeable nose, a line for a mouth and huge dark eyes taking up most of the rest of this head. “I wondered if the baby was deformed but knew this was not the case somehow. The baby appeared alert and was staring up at me. My Mom bumped me with her arm to get my attention and said “what is wrong with that baby.” I felt I needed to tell the person in front of me because we had been talking (with her) about being slow in finishing up our shopping. When I tapped her on the shoulder I then was shocked to see not only her but the lady in front of her and the cashier were kind of frozen in place. Everything seemed to be moving in extremely slow motion around us. “The blond women seemed to pass the thought to me that I needed to take another good look at the baby and study it. Then as if a film was put back in to normal speed they walked past me and the cash register began to work, people – the only three in the area were moving again as if nothing happened. I told my Mom to hold our places and I ran after the women. Just next to us was the infants’ clothing department. The women had turned in to that isle. I followed and when I turned in to the isle – they disappeared. Just gone like they had never been there. I ran back the short distance to my Mom and told her they were gone. We checked out and my Mom kept saying “what was going on with that baby?” I told her no one goes shopping with a baby that tiny without taking needed supplies, bottles, diapers, clothes, etc. “I remember asking her if she thought we had seen something alien such as a hybrid and she just shook her head as if there was no answer. We stepped out the door and that’s when the experience with the men took place. When we exited the mall my Mom had already stepped off the curb to locate my car, I was stopped by three men who were leaning on the brick wall by the door. Wearing black suits, black hats, white shirts, sun glasses. Short in stature. The only difference from your reports was the fact that one had a briefcase – black also. I don’t recall their mouths moving but it could be I was just nervous. “One of them said, ‘You will not discuss what happened inside that store, do not talk about it to anyone, do you understand?’ I did not answer, stepped off the curb as I felt I was in danger and called after my Mom. Just after I stepped off the curb I turned back to discover these men were gone and there was nowhere for them to go other than in to the parking lot or further down the sidewalk as there was a brick wall where they had been and continued down the length of the building to the only door we had come out. We had been shown something in the store we both feel wasn’t normal and were talking about it as we left to see if we were imagining things when I met these men. Does this sound typical of these types? I am too old to be abducted and used for breeding and have had a hysterectomy so that could not have been the purpose – to show me a child of mine and I felt nothing like that was going on.” The mystery continues… mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/04/huge-dark-eyes-a-strange-baby-and-the-m-i-b/

mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/05/nighttime-terror-when-the-men-in-black-wont-leave-you-alone/ Nighttime Terror: When the Men in Black Won’t Leave You Aloneby Nick Redfern / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/nredfern/ May 31, 2019 Kimberly Rackley is a gifted psychic and a very good friend of mine. She has had a lifetime of paranormal experiences, including multiple, terrifying encounters with the Men in Black. In terms of her early MIB encounters, Kim said in an interview I did with her: “Since I was a teenager I’ve always had the same dream and then, of course, I didn’t know what they were. Two Men in Black would come through my bedroom window and take me away to a place that’s underground. They would sit me in a chair, with this green light that comes down over the chair. If I would reach out with my arm, it would electrocute me. It would send energy up my arm. Then, I would find myself back in bed again. I had that dream since I was probably fifteen. This was when I was living in Florida. Then, after that, they went away. Not until I was probably, I think, thirty-two was when they started to come back. From being a teenager to now, this has probably happened about fifteen or sixteen times.” Kim adds: “They are always in black and they are very tall – probably six-five. There’s no structure to the face; no cheekbones; none. I could see where the face should be, but it would look melted, like putty. That’s what their faces always remind me of: Silly Putty; white Silly Putty. There are no eyes. And, you could see where there would be an outline of a nose and a mouth, but there’s nothing actually there. If you put a stocking over your face – like a bank-robber – it would look exactly like that. That’s just how they look. When I see them, it’s like their skin is not skin. The face moves, like a vibration, like a frequency. So, it’s like they appear solid, but they’re not solid at all; they’re an energy.” She had far more to say: “When you’re dreaming, everyone automatically goes to the astral plane; but most people aren’t even aware of that. On the astral plane there are different levels. Some people call them different degrees: different degrees of Heaven, different degrees of Hell, and different degrees of the astral plane. Any other entities from another realm can open doors to our astral plane, when we are sleeping. So, with the right frequency, you can get on the astral plane. It doesn’t matter if you’re a being from Heaven or Hell, they can all access the astral plane. So, I think some of those dimensional beings have the frequency codes to access the astral plane and that’s how they meet their agenda with people who are dreaming. That’s how they get into my dreams – the guys in black. “Every person has what you could call an imprint. It’s a frequency. Everyone has a soul imprint which identifies them specifically. So do angels. And so do demons. But, once they have your imprint, it’s like an ID code. Once they have it they can find you. Anywhere. People told me that when I moved to Texas from Florida in 2016, the dark stuff would stop, because they wouldn’t be able to find me. But, they still found me. That’s really when I began realizing that the whole soul imprint thing is probably true.” It was in late June 2016 when Kim had one of her most terrifying encounters. On June 22, Kim told me: “Had an experience last night / morning. A little drained this morning. Freaked me out. I was awoken by what seemed like thousands of voices that were excited and upset. I sometimes hear the astral plane at night but this was crazy. I need to make it stop so I lift into astral and all these entities are everywhere in agitated state. I ask what’s wrong and they all circle me and then this being, very tall and slender, in a black suit but with a long coat comes straight for me. The entities circling me close in tighter. They are trying to protect me. But he pushes them away with a flick of his hand and I’m suddenly back in my body. There, in my room, was the man. He had the same non-aura energy, like MIB. He pointed at me and the place in my wrist where the previous MIBs always try to place a chip in me started burning. Then I passed out. I feel electric inside, like I’m going to jump out of my skin and I’m nauseated. Kind of frightened. I look like death” (Ibid.). Later on, Kim got back to me and wrote: “If you feel like death warmed-over then you most definitely look like death warmed-over as I discovered this morning when I ungraciously made my way to the bathroom. I’ve told the story of my repetitive MIB encounters before but it needs repeating because I believe it is significant to the most recent encounter.” More from Kim: “From the time I was eight and witnessed a glowing figure slightly similar to a grey walking down the hallway of my home, I have been subject to frequent MIB visits. This newest encounter was much different than the above so let me get on with the story. I was awoken around 4:00 a.m. to a thousand voices in my head. It is quite common for me to hear the astral plane but this was like a war going on. I know I have to stop the voices before I end up on Zany Street with men in white coats chasing me. I lift up to the astral where I find the entities in an agitated and anxious state. Curiously they are all gathered in a very close proximity to each other.” The story continues: “I ask what is wrong and the entities immediately circle me. I am not afraid as I have been to the astral many times and have friends here. Suddenly, a very tall man comes from the mist. He is in a black suit and wearing a long coat. The man is whitish-gray, bald, and no facial hair; yeah, not even an eyelash. Could it be that my recent talk with [you] on this very subject have triggered this encounter? I believe the MIB have every account of who attempts to reveal them. I’m always left with sheer panic and more questions after an encounter with the MIB. The panic I experience however, won’t stop me from seeking the truth nor will it stop me from being who I am or doing what I do.” Kim’s most recent experience reads as follows: “The encounter happened when I was at the Free Comic Book Day in Folsom, California on June 12, 2017. I was staying with a friend; it was the first night I was there and I went to be about ten-thirty; I was so tired. Usually, I wake up about every forty-five minutes or so; it’s just how I sleep. But, that night, I slept for four hours straight, and then I just suddenly woke up, because I felt something pulling at me; something was tugging at me in the bed. I sit up and on the right side of the bed and there are two of the men. They had that pasty skin; the Silly Putty again; the bank-robber-stocking look. And they pointed at me and said: ‘It’s time to come.’ I was like: ‘I don’t think so!’ So, I went to turn around to the front of the bed, to psychically try to make them go away. To push light at them. And, the next thing I know, literally my feet were pulled out from under me. I was dragged off the bed to the door of the bedroom. Then, they were gone; it was over. I don’t remember anything after that until the morning.” As Kim’s extensive, decades-long encounters with the Men in Black demonstrate, there is nothing positive about the MIB. They are among the most disturbing of all entities that lurk in the realm of Ufology. mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/05/nighttime-terror-when-the-men-in-black-wont-leave-you-alone/

mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/05/flying-saucers-the-men-in-black-and-mysterious-cars/ Flying Saucers, the Men in Black, and Mysterious Carsby Nick Redfern / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/nredfern/May 31, 2019 For years – or perhaps even for centuries – the Men in Black have been elusive, fear-inducing figures who hover with disturbing regularity upon the enigmatic fringes of the UFO subject. They nurture and weave their very own unique brand of terror and intimidation. Like true specters from the outer edge, the MIB appear from the murky darkness, and roam the countryside provoking paranoia and fear in their notorious wake, before returning to that same shrouded realm from which they originally oozed. Very often traveling in groups of three, this definitive trinity of evil seemingly appears and disappears at will. They are very often seen driving 1950s-style black Cadillac’s. Particularly strange is the fact that most of the witnesses say that the cars of the Men in Black vanish almost impossibly quickly. It’s almost as if the vehicles of the MIB are beamed aboard UFOs. Maybe, that’s not too far from the truth. As bizarre as it might sound, there are a number of reports on record of black cars (A) entering and exiting UFOs late at night; and (B) of apparent aliens exiting UFOs and getting in cars. Yep, I know: it’s really weird. Back in 2009, longtime Ufologist Tim Beckley shared just such a story with me. Tim said: “I remember one incident where I was lecturing and a gentleman – a professor at the college where I was lecturing – came up to me and told this story about how he was driving outside of a town in Michigan. It was rather late at night, and he saw these lights in the woods. He pulled over, and there was no other traffic coming in either direction, but there was already another car parked at the edge of the road.” Tim continued: “He described seeing some sort of ship in the distance – a UFO. A group of human-like aliens got out of the UFO, walked to the car – which was a Cadillac, or something like that. He watched them and could see they looked human. They just got in the car and drove off. But then, a couple of weeks later, he sees one of the same guys in a supermarket. These reports sound farfetched, but there’s so many of them of what seem to be aliens being able to move among us.” Moving on, there’s the very odd tale of a man named Michael Wilcox. On the night of March 6, 1961, Wilcox had an encounter of the creepy car kind. At the time, Wilcox was living in South Miami, Florida. His home backed onto an eight-acre tomato field. At around 10:15 P.M., Wilcox saw to his amazement, through the window of his living-room, a huge object hanging low in the night sky. He described it as looking “like a Navy blimp.” He added that, “…but it was larger than any blimp I had ever seen.” Wilcox raced outside and watched with amazement as a large doorway on the craft slowly began to open. When the doorway was open to its fullest, three small, circular objects exited the craft and shot away into the darkness. But, that was only the start of things. Matters were about to get really strange. According to Wilcox, one-by-one three black-colored Ford Galaxie cars were lowered from the UFO to the ground by “a hydraulic”-like elevator. Yes, you did read that right! When the three cars were safely on the ground, a rectangular-shaped object exited the UFO and landed in the field, adjacent to the cars. Then, something amazing happened, as Wilcox noted: Four groups of four people walked out of that same rectangular-shaped craft “and entered each car.” Wilcox looked on dumbfounded, as the cars – one after another – raced out of the field and onto the nearby road! He quickly lost sight of them as they hit South Miami’s 136th Street. The amazing encounter was over. There’s absolutely no doubt at all that cases like the ones I have detailed above are not just controversial but way beyond controversial. Nevertheless, such accounts – of mysterious cars, of MIB, and of vanishing vehicles abound. Here’s one example and here’s another. Given that I’ve written four books on the MIB and one on the Women in Black, maybe my next book should be titled Cars in Black… mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/05/flying-saucers-the-men-in-black-and-mysterious-cars/

mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/06/the-men-in-black-in-todays-world/ The Men in Black in Today’s Worldby Nick Redfern / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/nredfern/June 5, 2019 As someone who regularly investigates and writes about the Men in Black phenomenon, one of the questions I’m often asked goes like this: “Do you still get reports of the Men in Black? “ The short answer is “Yes.” And: “A lot.” There’s no doubt at all that within the world of Ufology, the MIB phenomenon was at its height from the 1950s to the 1970s. That does not mean, however, that reports of the Men in Black are no more, or are on a decline. Indeed, I regularly receive reports of the MIB, the vast majority of them from very recent times. That’s probably due to the fact that I have written four books on the Men in Black and one on the Women in Black. In other words, when people have had an encounter with the MIB, they seek out someone who can hopefully help them understand what happened and what they encountered: someone like me. I’m sure that it’s very much the same with people who have come across a Crop Circle: they look for a Circle researcher for the answers and not an MIB investigator. And, it’s the same with the Black-Eyed Children: if you’ve seen one, you’re likely to contact an expert on the topic, like David Weatherly. Which brings us back to those recent cases of the Men in Black. Here’s one of hundreds from the last decade that have come my way. In February 2016, an Englishman named Liam contacted me and said “…I bought your book The Real Men in Black off of Amazon a while ago and would like to share an event that happened to me in 2011, this was before I had read the book or heard about the more sinister alien type MIB you describe but had heard of the government G-Men gathering UFO reports from witnesses. Here’s my experience, it might not be anything relevant but I found it quite interesting.” Liam continued: “It was either late July or early August and I was on holiday in Weymouth. This was days before the London riots of that year, staying with my parents in a rented accommodation at Whitehead Drive. The room I was in had a lovely view of the bay and Chesil Beach, you could see Portland in the distance. As the view was nice and the weather was hot I would always leave the window open for air and to admire the view. I had a laptop set up on the desk near the window so could look out easily. One evening I kept getting the eerie feeling of being watched, I would look out the window and not see anything of note, the sun was beginning to fade out at this point, I would guess it was about 5-7 pm sort of time, but you could still see the road and the beach easily. “Every time I went back to using the laptop I would again get this horrible feeling of unease and would look back out of the window, eventually I spotted what appeared to be a man almost comically hidden behind a road sign. He was stood so half of his face was visible from the side of the sign but the other half obscured, his legs were visible underneath the sign, however. “The man was I guess about 200 yards from my window but I could make out he was wearing a full dark suit, which was very odd considering it was a warm summer and everyone else nearby was wearing shorts and t-shirts. He also had a black hat on, I guess either a fedora or a bowler-hat but it was hard to make out the exact shape at the distance. He didn’t appear to be staring at me but rather straight down the carriageway, his back was to Portland so he was facing towards Weymouth. I watched him for a good few minutes and he stood completely motionless, staring forward, the weird thing was none of the cars driving past seemed to slow at all as they passed him. At this point I quickly ran into another room to grab some binoculars and went back into the bedroom and he had vanished! I could only have been gone for 30-60 seconds max and his position would be hard to get away from unless he jumped into the harbor or got into a car, however the flow of traffic meant that it would be very difficult to get a car to stop, pick him up and start again without causing horns to blare from other drivers. As I said it could be nothing of note at all, but after reading your book and listening to several radio shows where the Men in Black were discussed it seems very similar to one of those events. Thanks for reading, Liam.” No doubt, reports of modern day MIB encounters will continue to reach me. mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/06/the-men-in-black-in-todays-world/

mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/06/she-believed-he-was-an-extra-terrestrial-being/ “She believed he was an extra-terrestrial being”by Nick Redfern / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/nredfern/June 5, 2019 A couple of days ago, I wrote an article here at Mysterious Universe titled “The Men in Black in Today’s World.” You can find it at this link. I thought that today I would share with you another case that reached me in recent times – and which continues to demonstrate that there’s no shortage of such MIB cases surfacing. This one surfaced on October 28, 2016. I was spending the weekend at Kent Senter’s Night Siege conference in Greensboro, North Carolina. It was a fun gig and one that was well-attended. My agent Lisa Hagan was there too, as was her mom, Sandra Martin, who is the brains behind Paraview Books. I hadn’t seen either of them for a few years, so it was great to catch up again. It was during a quiet few moments in the event, and before I was due to do a presentation on the MIB/Women in Black issue, that a man came up to me and gave me a manila envelope. He introduced himself: Wayne LaPorte. Wayne was a significant figure in 1970s-1990s era U.S.-based Ufology, having written for a number of UFO-themed magazines and journals back then. I opened the envelope to find a couple of MIB-based cases that Wayne investigated in the 1970s. He very generously let me keep the reports; he also gave me permission to reproduce them. One of them was written to Wayne by a now-retired employee of the Gaston Gazette newspaper, which covers the town of Gaston, North Carolina. Dated July 23, 1977, it read as follows: “As a part of my work as a reporter for the Gaston Gazette, I wrote a number of stories during the last three months of 1976 which dealt with UFO sightings in Gaston County. I think it is important for anyone who reads this recollection to know that I was interested in these stories mainly for their sensational news appeal. I have never attempted to make a study of UFOs or occupants and know virtually nothing about the subject. During the Oct.-Dec. 1976 period in which I was writing stories about hundreds of UFO sightings in Gaston County, I received a telephone call from an unidentified woman. I believe the call was made sometime in November. I do remember it was on a Saturday afternoon between 4-6 p.m. The woman would not reveal her identity because, she said, too many people would think that she was ‘crazy.’ “I pushed for a story during the call which lasted about 45 minutes, but the woman – she sounded middle age – would not consent. In fact, it was her really strong desire to remain unidentified, even to me, that made me believe she was serious about what she was saying. My recollections are vague, but I do remember her beginning her story by telling me about UFO visitations to her home. She would not tell me where she was located, other than in Gaston County. She said something about strange noises outside her bedroom window, rocks being thrown on the window panes. The noises caused her dog to bark continuously. “During the several times that she believed UFOs to be outside her home, she and her mother and child would close themselves in a bedroom, the same bedroom I referred to earlier. I remember her telling me that she read the Bible when she heard the noises and that the reading seemed to drive the noises away. At some time after she experienced the visitations, a stranger came to her home. She told me the name he used but I do not recall it. He told her he was from Chapel Hill and she said that he had some knowledge of the Chapel Hill area. I believe she told me that the man had blond hair and wore a black turtle-neck sweater or knit shirt. The turtle-neck part I am sure of. She also described him as having a larger than normal head. “She and her husband talked to him in their home for a while then took the man to Shoney’s for a meal. She told me that he held the menu upside down and did not know what to order. She ordered fried chicken for him. He told her, she said, that he did not know what fried chicken was. He ate it anyway, she said. That’s about all I can remember her telling me about the visit. But she said that later she tried to call him in Chapel Hill. There was no listing for the name he gave. “I remember that she told me the reasons she believed he was an extra-terrestrial being, but I do not remember what those reasons were. I can’t be sure, but it seems that she said he left an address and that she wrote to him at the address and the letter was returned. I begged her to tell me if she ever had another similar experience. She promised to call me. She has not and I do not think she ever will because she knows that I want her story and she is 100 per cent against even a no-name type story. I have been a newspaper reporter since 1969 and I have never talked to an unidentified caller who, I sensed, was so careful to give no hints about her identity or her residence. And at the same time, I felt she was completely convinced about her experiences. In any event, I am convinced that she was not playing a prank to see if we would bite for a story.” It’s important to note there are several issues that place this case in the MIB category. First, of course, there’s the fact that the mysterious man was dressed in black. Second, like so many of the Men in Black, the curious character didn’t seem to fully understand what food was. And, third, he didn’t look entirely human – there was a difference in the head. Another case of a weird Man in Black encounter to add to an already huge number. mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/06/she-believed-he-was-an-extra-terrestrial-being/

mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/06/an-enforcement-arm-of-the-ufonauts/ “An enforcement arm of the UFOnauts”by Nick Redfern / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/nredfern/June 8, 2019 A couple of days ago, I wrote an article here titled “She believed he was an extra-terrestrial being.” It was focused on a case from the files of a long-time UFO researcher named Wayne LaPorte. The article referred to above was written as a result of Wayne very generously sharing with me some of his data. All of which brings me to another fascinating case-file that Wayne gave me. It was on October 29, 2016 that I first read it. In Wayne’s very own words: “This account was first related to me by two friends of mine – Don and Sarah Morris . Both have read little on UFOs, and have read nothing on Men in Black (MIBs). On May 27, 1977, Don, Sarah and myself had supper out. I was discussing hostility sometimes expressed by UFOs. I mentioned that there are on the record cases of Men in Black or MIBs. They asked me what that meant. I said, ‘The MIBs may be an enforcement arm of the UFOnauts. They often dress in black, and are very human-like.’ Sarah said: ‘Really? We had a strange experience with some men dressed in black turtleneck sweaters at a Kent State Memorial Service in 1972. We photographed them, because of their dress. Our film was ruined. There’s not a UFO involved here. However, it was very odd that our film was ruined.'” Wayne continued: “It was the first part of July, 1972. Don and Sarah attended a Kent State Memorial Service at Freedom Park in Charlotte, N.C. Both are amateur photographers. They had a Honeywell Pentax 35mm camera. The service was a non-violent, anti-war demonstration. There was a stage set up. Various people were giving speeches. There were some singers and group singing also. It was sunny and very hot. The FBI were there and very obvious. They were going through the crowd and photographing various people mainly for harassment. Don wasn’t a protestor (active), and did not have a photographic file on the FBI. However, he was upset that the FBI were bothering the people. So, he decided to harass the FBI by taking photos of the FBI photographers.” That’s when things got a bit strange, as Wayne notes: “Don and Sarah first noticed the MIB when they first drove into Freedom Park (a recreational park a few miles from downtown Charlotte). They were in the auto in front of Sarah. One of the MIBs turned and stared intently at her. She noticed the turtleneck shirt and that they were clean shaven. They had short hair. She said, ‘They must be part of the local FBI showing up.’ She thought they were FBI, because of the short haircut. The two MIBs and the FBI men were the only ones with short hair at the Memorial Service. Don and Sarah later noticed the two MIBs. Don had been walking around photographing the FBI agents. He returned to Sarah who was with the audience. A simple stage had been erected. The audience was seated in front of it and spread out like a fan. Don and Sarah were near the back of the audience. There were no chairs. Everyone was seated on the grass.” There was more to come: “The two MIBs stood behind the audience and about 50 feet from the audience. They wore black turtleneck shirts or sweaters (both can’t recall whether they had on shirts or sweaters). Their clothes were both identical – also very clean and neat. They never talked (even to each other). They never went to eat or to the restroom. They stayed in the same spot all day. The temperature was about 27 degrees centigrade. The MIBs weren’t sweating. They just kept looking around and staring at everyone.” The strangeness got even weirder: “Don and Sarah can’t recall any facial features. However, they never thought of them being non-human. They thought the MIB were ‘FBI supervisors.’ They took a few photos of them from the crowd. Then, Don went around and came up behind them. He got to five feet (1.5 meters) behind them. He focused the camera. He hoped they would sense he was behind them and turn around. He wanted to capture the surprise on their faces when they turned around. However, he waited behind them for 5 minutes. They never turned around. Then, like he was ‘commanded,’ Don returned to Sarah in the audience. He doesn’t recall any verbal or mental command. However, all of a sudden, he lost interest in trying to photograph the MIBs.” If that was not strange enough, there’s the following from Wayne: “The next week, Don and Sarah developed the black-n-white film at their home photolab. The film was completely black from front to back. It was as if struck by some form of intense electromagnetic radiation. Their thoughts were that the FBI had a secret radiation weapon that the FBI used on them to destroy their film. However, Don doesn’t recall seeing the FBI or MIBs point any weapon at them. Also, Don doesn’t recall experiencing any radiation sickness. There is the possibility that Don had purchased a roll of film that had been accidentally exposed to radiation while being shipped to the retail store. To me, that is possible, but very unlikely. If the film was good then 1. The FBI have a secret radiation weapon; 2. The MIBs used some type of weapon secretly on Don’s camera; 3. The MIBs psychically were able to destroy the film. 4. The MIBs themselves were an energy entity or were radiating electromagnetic radiation. 5. The MIBs had a protective energy field around them.” Wayne dug further into what was rapidly escalating into a very strange situation: “Harry Joyner owns a photolab (Joyner and Associates) in Charlotte. He has offered to give us free photographic assistance on any case. He listened to the taped interview. The description of the ruined film indicates the following: total exposure to light or intense heat or chemical fumes or exposure to gamma, alpha or beta radiation. The witnesses said they made no darkroom mistakes while developing the film. Harry also does some photographic work for the FBI. He told (at my request) on of the FBI agents of the MIB incident. He asked the agent if the two MIBs could have been FBI agents. The agent replied “No.” The agent wasn’t involved in the 1972 Freedom Park affair. However, he said that the FBI would never dress like that, and act in such a manner (not moving around, not talking, etc.).” Wayne concluded: “Although no UFO is involved here, the two Men in Black appear to be MIBs. Nolie Bell of the Tar Heel UFO Study Group, Winston, Salem, N.C. knows of a similar case. Two MIBs were spotted at a Kent State Memorial service. That report said the MIBs had oriental features. Also, John Keel related to me that he knows of one case in which possible MIBs were photographed. A photograph was taken of a group of (outdoors) attending a meeting of a radical nature. There were two men in different parts of the crowd. They had on black suits with turtleneck shirts. They both looked like twins. They had lean, angular faces. The hair was cropped short. This was a group photo. It was not a close-up. Incidentally, this was in England. I feel this case is significant as it involves a close-up attempt to photograph a UFO.” When I read Wayne’s account – of both the MIB and the FBI being present at the scene in question – it instantly made me think of something John Keel once wrote on the matter of two different kinds of Men in Black. Keel put down on paper, on March 15, 1968 the following: “I have very substantial reasons for believing that the current explosion of MIB activity is directly related to a forthcoming national crisis. The crisis has been developing over a long period of time. The numerous hoaxes, deceptions, and seeming meaningless incidents inherent in the UFO phenomenon have actually served to cover up the real situation.” Now, we get to the crux of the matter. Keel added: “It appears as if two groups of MIB are involved [italics mine]. One group is extremely dangerous. They have committed murder and arson on a broad scale, operating under the carefully constructed umbrella of ridicule and nonsense surrounding the UFO phenomenon. The second group is trying to focus our attention on the first group by imitating MIB activity through harmless interviews, presentation of obviously false credentials, etc. We must understand and appreciate the efforts of this second group, and learn to discriminate between the two.” I thought, Keel was always ahead of his time. In whatever afterlife domain he now dwells, he probably still is. mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/06/an-enforcement-arm-of-the-ufonauts/

Kim adds: “They are always in black and they are very tall – probably six-five. So, it’s like they appear solid, but they’re not solid at all; they’re an energy.” Read more: theedgeofreality.proboards.com/thread/834/men-black-mib?page=6#ixzz5qHfkmiok*********** I’m curious to : “how many people have seen these type of “men” in dreams?”

www.phantomsandmonsters.com/2019/07/reptilian-mib-close-encounter.html#.XSUFBifO_No.twitter Tuesday, July 09, 2019 'Reptilian MIB' Close EncounterPosted by Lon Strickler / twitter.com/PhantomMonster?lang=en Gary in Oregon called in to tell of a strange experience he had: “I experienced a situation back in the 1970s when I was a lot younger and I was with an older man, a friend, and some other people I knew - his son and daughter. And we took a little trip up to the Portland area and, at that time, I didn't know what I was going to experience and we stopped off at the back of some rest building up in that area. I'm not sure exactly where but what happened was, we all got out of the car and we walked up the back-end of this large building. We went into the rear end of this place and saw rows and rows of these metal little chairs for people to sit on and there was about 100 people in front of us. It was a long building inside. It was at night. So, anyway, and we sat down, looked around, we didn't know who was in front of us. And I noticed like 8 or 9 guys, like, you know, in suits and like a grey jacket and grey pants, like a dress type suit and pants and they were all dressed in the same color. All the same. I asked, 'What was this?' I didn't know what was going on. 'Are these FBI guys or what?' So I sat for a little bit, I didn't want to take too much time. It was almost 12:00 so I proceeded to go by myself and leave the three people I was with and walked on up to right where those few fellows were all standing. I stood next to the end one on the left-side and there was a whole row of them all together on the right. So they were all together and I stood there for a little bit and I just had this odd feeling and out of my side vision, or peripheral vision or side vision, whatever, there was just something odd about this guy I was standing next to. And then the color, I could tell there was something wrong with the color of his skin on his face. I thought maybe this guy's been in a fire or something. There was something wrong with this situation and I kept looking forward. I kept looking straight ahead. And, plus, these guys were all really tall – unusually tall. So I eventually I decided to go ahead and turn my head and look at this person and to my shock I noticed the side of his neck had this grey color. It wasn't natural skin color. It wasn't green. He had, like small scales on his skin and it was just really odd. I turned to look up at his face because he was a lot taller than me, about 7 feet tall, and I was looking at him, at the lower part of his neck. I looked up at his face, or the side of his head, and he was looking straight ahead and not looking at me at first then as he started to turn his head... it would move in segments, little movements at a time and each time his face would move, it would become invisible, his face, so it would almost become translucent. It was odd. Only his head. Of course he was wearing clothes. Anyway, suddenly, he tilted his head and looked at me with a look that he wasn't too happy with me, you know, looking at him directly. I’m looking into a face like what they call a reptilian but not a green skinned one. (Lewis asks if he thought they were the Men In Black) From what I know about Men In Black, what I see on TV, they never look like a reptilian like creature, you know. This one never spoke to me. I was scared to death after I saw it, what it was. I wondered if it had claws, you know, and I thought I was standing too close to it and I didn't want it to... I was standing right next to it and it was bigger than me. When I looked at it, it had gold eyes, big red-gold eyes and it had an unusual face, the mouth, nose, the front of its face was really unusual. It was more of a reptile-like thing and the nose was really something. It was real flat kind of looking. Just really bizarre and its eyes were big and they were gold, beautiful gold, but with a vertical slit. They eye had the pupil like a cat or an alligator. I just started walking ahead of it. I just didn't want it standing next to me any longer and eventually I just went back to the people I was with. And I asked can you see those guys up there? Can you see those guys in the suits and they all said yes they could. I wasn't imagining it. They kept saying, Yes, they could see them.” Source: Ground Zero Radio with Clyde Lewis – June 19, 2019 www.phantomsandmonsters.com/2019/07/reptilian-mib-close-encounter.html#.XSUFBifO_No.twitter

mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/10/a-strange-dream-and-a-weird-man-in-black/ A Strange Dream and a Weird Man in Blackby Nick Redfern / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/nredfern/October 2, 2019 Today, I’m on a bit of a “weird dream” kick. By that, I mean there will be another dream-based article after this one. John Winterbauer is a friend of mine who I run into about once a year or so at conferences. At 8:43 a.m. on November 21, 2015 John sent me a text – while clearly in a state of some concern – that revolved around the story of a woman named Terry, who I interviewed a few years back. Her MIB-themed encounter makes for chilling reading. In part, Terry had told me: “This encounter occurred during the day time thirty five years ago in 1977 at a Winchell’s in Sunnyvale California, I was just sixteen years of age at the time. My best friend and I had just finished our coffee and were heading for the doorway to leave. As we were passing a man seated at one of the tables, he reached out and firmly grabbed my wrist. In that moment my first reaction was to jerk away from his grip, but looking down at him I realized that he was a very old man and I felt in that moment that he was harmless. He was dressed in black wearing an old fashioned hat and suit, his clothing looked like it was from the 1930’s. He was extremely pale, very thin and appeared to be very old, I guessed in his 80’s or 90’s.” Terry continued: “He told my friend and I that he was a palm reader, a very good one, he claimed and could he please do us a favor by giving us each a reading. My friend and I talked briefly to each other about his offer and agreed to let him. I first sat down across the table from him, then as my friend was starting to sit down along side of me, he stopped her and asked her to please go sit a few tables away out of earshot from us, explaining that the information was going to be direct and personal, we would need some privacy. She complied and moved several tables away.” There was more to come, too: “Once my friend was seated away from us, I placed my hands on the table in front of him, palms up and looked into the man’s face, it was then that I noticed the old man’s eyes were completely glazed over with cataracts, he was surely blind I thought, as his gaze was unfixed and unfocused in my direction. I asked him how long had he been a psychic? He responded by saying that his ability had nothing to do with being psychic and emphasized that it had everything to do with ‘science.’” There are these closing words from Terry: “He began by talking about my early childhood experiences along with some very painful incidents that had occurred to me in which he had precise and detailed information that I was sure no one could have known about. Quite suddenly I felt very vulnerable and exposed as he recounted these events, his knowledge unnerved me to my very core. Staring straight ahead he moved along into my present situation, lecturing and chastising me like a father would a child, for some poor choices I had made during that time. All the while he broke a doughnut down into tiny pieces. My mind raced as I tried to figure out how on earth could he know this stuff? It was then in that moment that I would forever change my ideas of ‘secrets kept’ and how I viewed my own identity in the world. Apparently ‘nothing’ could be hidden from myself or anyone else for that matter. I felt naked in the truth.” All of which brings us back to John Winterbauer and his text of November 21, 2015. It read: “Morning, Nick. Odd occurrences last night. I dreamed a woman came to warn me of an unspecified forthcoming trouble. She identified herself only as Terry [italics mine]. This morning I’m reading your new MIB book [titled Men in Black, and which referenced Terry, something John didn’t know until he began reading the book on the 21st] and just finished the donut shop account. My girl and I are getting ready to head to St. Louis for a weekend of paranormal adventure. This dream had no meaning this morning…now my hands are shaking as I type this. Most odd…most unsettling. Probably means nothing but the coincidence has me rattled. Thought I’d share in case I vanish or some weird *bleep* this weekend! For the record I’ve enjoyed the book up to this last story!” Thankfully, nothing untoward happened that weekend. John has not, however, forgotten this undeniably sinister and thought-provoking synchronicity concerning Terry. Neither have I. I saved that text and – as short as it is – I still go back and read it, now and again. mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/10/a-strange-dream-and-a-weird-man-in-black/

Weird synchronicities.
My recommendation? Look for the good ones. 😁 (the good ones are actually more interesting).

We must understand and appreciate the efforts of this second group, and learn to discriminate between the two.” Read more: theedgeofreality.proboards.com/thread/834/men-black-mib?page=6#ixzz61UmHLjU6______________________ I used to ponder Keels theories a lot. Especially if a person considers all the technological advancements since 1968. I find myself also wondering if shadow people (the fedora wearing man) are also a type of MIB. And then ask myself why I’m not hearing about people making this same connection (black hat shadow man and the MIB). Maybe I should just put that in my search engine, eh? 🙃 I’ve had a couple of “obvious” dreams about MIB. Pretty realistic stuff. The question for me has always been: “am I being warned in some way”? When I’m often left with the feeling that “I am being protected”. 🙂

mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/10/when-something-gets-into-your-nightmares/ When “Something” Gets Into Your Nightmaresby Nick Redfern / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/nredfern/October 4, 2019 If you want weird, you’ve got it. It didn’t get much more bizarre than Saturday morning, October 14, 2017. The night before, I gave a lecture in Fort Worth, Texas for a local group called Satori. It was a good turn-out and among those who turned up was good friend, Kimberly Rackley, who has had her very own run-ins with the Men in Black. During the lecture, I made mention of how certain supernatural things can invade our dreams – and, in the process, turn those same dreams into absolute, mind-warping nightmares. I guess someone – or something – was tuning in, as the following morning I received at Facebook Message a strange tale of – wait for it – Men in Black and Women in Black who had invaded the dreams of the victims. No, I do not jest. The story came from a guy in Florida, and who I had spoken with some time earlier. In my 2016 book, Women in Black, I told the very strange story of “A Hesitant Believer,” who had a chilling encounter with both a MIB and a WIB a few years earlier. It was a hostility-filled encounter, in which the clearly non-human pair in black put a hex on poor “AHB,” one which left him extremely ill for a while. On this date in 2017, though, he wanted to tell me of a follow-up encounter, which was no less strange or unsettling. He told me: “Mr. Redfern, I wrote to you a couple of years ago about a possible WIB/MIB encounter in Tampa, FL. I noticed you recently posted my account on Mysterious Universe, and that reminded me to tell you of an incredibly vivid nightmare/sleep-paralysis episode I had in late December 2016 which involved the WIB. This ‘dream’ has been the only one I have ever had about my experience. I had meant to write to you earlier, but life got in the way, and I didn’t want to bother you with what may have been a perfectly ordinary night terror. If such ‘follow-ups’ are relevant to your research, let me know. Sincerely.” A bit stunned that “AHB’s” message should have arrived barely twelve hours after I had been speaking about dream-invaders before the Satori audience in Fort Worth, I replied quickly: “Many thanks for this! Yes, I’d be very pleased to hear about the dream, as I have quite a few cases on file where people had seen the MIB in their dreams, and as if the MIB can ‘invade’ our dreams and even manipulate and control our dreams too. Best, Nick.” “AHB” expanded: “OK. Thank you again for taking this seriously. This dream was very traumatic, but I will try to describe it the best I can. A bit of background: I had moved in with my disabled parents in order to take care of them. The date of the ‘dream’ was December 21st, 2016. I remember this because my best friend’s birthday was the next day, and we’d planned to make a day of it, so I went to bed early. I had not been drinking or doing drugs, etc. My parents were out of the house and staying with my aunt, and I was alone. I drifted off, and when I ‘awoke’ I found myself in a state of sleep paralysis. I’ve had these episodes since I was a child, but I’d never seen or felt any other presences during them. This time my bed was surrounded by pinkish-orange flames that took the shape of what I would describe as ‘goblins.’ At the foot of my bed loomed a large hand, larger than my bed, and wearing a tattered suede glove. “I was terrified at first, but when I realized I couldn’t move I knew this was just a dream and I was suffering from sleep paralysis, although I was seeing ‘entities’ for the first time. To try to explain it, I will say my mind was logical but my body was frightened, if that makes any sense at all. I tried to just ride it out and hope I would fall back asleep soon, but then I noticed a shifting from by the bedroom door. The woman I had encountered in the bar [the story of which is told in Women in Black] was standing there, but she was dressed differently. She did not have the bright green scarf, and was wearing a conservative black dress, like something a religious woman would wear to a funeral. No hat or veil, though. She had that same short hair with bangs that looked like a bad wig, and around her neck was a chain with a pendant that resembled a coin or medallion, which I do not recall her wearing in the bar. Oddly, coins, necklaces and medallions turn up in a lot of MIB-themed cases. “When I saw her my mind began to panic, and I am sorry, but I just cannot go into detail about how I felt at that point. I still realized that the goblins and flames and the hand were part of the dream, but I knew the woman was real. She was actually standing there, at least according to my mind. She did not move or speak. She just stared. Then the dream elements disappeared, but she was still there. For some reason, this was the most horrifying part: she didn’t disappear, or flash out, or do anything supernatural, but calmly turned, opened my door, and left. I heard the front door open, and the sound of a car engine. I lapsed back into sleep after that. When I woke up, it was morning, and I was incredibly nauseous. I vomited, and needless to say cancelled plans with my friend. Made me feel like an *bleep*, but I couldn’t explain it to him. Anyway, that was my dream. It actually took a lot out of me to write that, and I hope it’s sufficient, but if you have any questions, just ask. I’m hung up about the coin/medallion pendant the woman was wearing. I just felt this overwhelming urge not to look at it.” mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/10/when-something-gets-into-your-nightmares/

mysteriousuniverse.org/2020/01/m-i-b-you-want-weird-youve-got-it/ “M.I.B.” – You Want Weird? You’ve Got It!by Nick Redfern / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/nredfern/January 18, 2020 If you are a regular to Mysterious Universe, you’ll know that one of my particular interests when it comes to UFOs and the paranormal is that of the Men in Black. I don’t think there’s a single MIB case out there that isn’t weird. But, some are really weird. Such as the one I’m going to share with you today. It comes from a source in British Columbia who provided the following story to me in 2013. It’s a case that is made notable by the fact that it predates the MIB phenomenon that has developed since 1947. In fact, it dates back to the 1930s. The source began: “Hello Nick; I have a MIB story that comes from a pretty good source. 1930s. MIB met at a prairie crossroads by a Ukrainian man. Very interesting outcome. It should be noted that the three brothers from Ukraine that were involved in this encounter also encountered incredible strange phenomena on their farm. If you would like to read about it I will relate it as told by one of the brothers. Of course, I asked for more information. And got it. The source continued: “I was told this by a reliable source, a family friend that did not BS. He was one of the three brothers that immigrated to Saskatchewan from Ukraine in the 1930s. These people, I suspect brought with them some beliefs that resulted in very strange activity on their farm. They had no wives, just three brothers. Some mornings they would find the horses’ manes and tails ‘braided’ in a very impressive fashion, but so tight that the horses would not allow them to be undone due to pain from pulling, so they cut them off. One night the brothers awoke to their barn on fire. They fought the fire with water from buckets to no avail as the barn burned to the ground. As morning approached they went in very tired to wash the smoke and ash from their face and hands. With the smoking ruins of their barn on their minds they went for a well earned sleep. When they awoke later that same day, they gazed out at their barn…exactly as it was before it had burned. Or had it really burned? Who knows, but it was it had always been. “One of the brothers was walking down the prairie dirt road when he came upon a very clean well dressed man at a ‘crossroads.’ The man wore a black high class suit with a tail and a fancy stove pipe hat, all black and no dust, but clean. The Farmer said to him, ‘What you doing out here all dressed up like that?’ As he spoke those words he was taking from his pocket his corn cob pipe to fill and talk a while. Upon seeing the corn cob pipe the MIB said ‘Oh, what a very nice pipe’ as he admired it. The MIB pulled from his pocket a very expensive looking silvery-looking pipe and offered to trade if the farmer would. The old Ukrainian said, ‘What, this old thing?’ and quickly traded. This seemed to end the conversation, as the farmer sped home to show everyone at home. When the MIB saw the farmer’s corn cob pipe, the MIB was transfixed by the pipe and appeared to be amazed by it; he wouldn’t take his eyes off it. “Apparently there were other people over for a stay at the time, and they all marveled at the beautiful pipe that had been traded from the MIB. It was proudly put on the fireplace mantle and stayed there as they all went to bed for the night. When they awoke the next day, apparently the ‘spell’ had been broken because where the beautiful silver pipe had been proudly displayed on the mantle was instead a stick!! Yes, a stick. I am thinking that with the farmer came some hypnotic spell to allow them all to see the silver pipe. The brother’s name was Alex Delawski and he told me this happened. There were more strange things too but this is what he told me. A side occurrence: For the last week or so I have been falling asleep with YouTube videos playing about MIB. I was in the back bedroom of my mobile home and I heard a loud knocking on my door. It was quite a loud and unmistakable sound of a closed fist on the door. I was surprised to see no-one and continued to look through the widows. There were no tracks in the fresh snow!” Another weird saga in the world of the MIB. mysteriousuniverse.org/2020/01/m-i-b-you-want-weird-youve-got-it/

www.phantomsandmonsters.com/2020/01/chilling-encounter-man-in-black-and.html Wednesday, January 29, 2020 Chilling Encounter: The Man in Black and the Black RosePosted by Lon Strickler The following was recently forwarded to me: "This event took place in late 2017 near Winter Park, Colorado at a family friend's cabin. The cabin is in a fairly remote place with few houses around (I've been there twice before but wasn't with my family during this trip as I live in California now). My family had spent the day sledding and came back to the cabin in the early evening. My parents and their friends were playing board games downstairs while my three siblings and their two friends were upstairs playing. So at some point my mom notices that my younger sister isn't playing with the rest of the kids and asks my other sister where she is. She said that she had gone into her room to listen to music, so my mother thought nothing of it. An hour or so goes by and my mom still hasn't heard or seen my sister, which was unusual as she generally wouldn't pass up time to play with her friends. She again asks my other sister where she is and she says she is still in her room listening to music. So my mom checks the room to find that she was not there. Immediately my mom goes into a panic and starts screaming her name. No response. Everyone in the house starts searching all of the rooms in the house, but they can't find her anywhere. My mom then singles out my other sister and asks her why she had lied about my sister's whereabouts. She claims she was being honest and that she had been listening to music. It's been about 2 hours since anyone has seen my sister. My mom goes outside to see if she can find her. Upon going outside my mom tells me about the most horrifying thing she's ever seen. My sister is inside our car with her face plastered to the window, wide-eyed, screaming. My mom said it was like a horror movie. Everyone had assumed she had somehow locked herself in the car. (I'm not sure how a very intelligent 10 year old girl locks herself in a car she's been in thousands of times, but I digress.) Upon opening the door to the car and getting my sister out, my mom notices that she is not behaving normally and appears to be in some kind of trance. They walk her inside and begin asking her questions about what had happened, but she doesn't respond to anything. She remains in this trance state for maybe an hour or two, so my mother gives up and puts her to bed. In the morning my sister appeared to be acting somewhat normal, but seemed to be shaken up. My mother then asks her how she ended up in the car, but she says she doesn't remember how she got there. She said she only remembered one thing. As she was locked in the car she saw a man dressed all in black approach her. She said she was terrified and tried to get out of the car. Then the man in black comes closer and tells her that he will let her out, but she has to do something for him. He holds a black rose up to the window and tells her that he wants her to come out so he can give it to her. After this my sister remembers nothing. After hearing this story, my mom goes outside to check the area around the car. To her amazement, she sees a trail of footsteps going from the car out past the house into the surrounding forest. No one had been playing or walking around that area before then according to my mom so she seemed very confused/disturbed about the tracks. We still don't know what to think of this, but my mother said that the look on my sister's face in the car was sincerely terrifying. I'm not sure what actually happened that night, but the similarities of seeing a black figure and being in a trance-like state made me see a connection. If I'm not wrong, I believe Colorado is also a hotspot for Missing 411 cases. I'm thankful my sister didn't become one of them, but maybe she saw something similar to what others have seen before their disappearance." mysteriousuniverse.org/2020/02/mysterious-characters-in-military-uniforms/ Mysterious Characters in Military Uniformsby Nick Redfern / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/nredfern/February 6, 2020 The Men in Black were given that memorable name because of their black suits, black ties and black fedoras. And, sometimes, their black sunglasses. But, you know that. We all do. Sometimes, however, the MIB will take a distinctly different approach: they will turn up on the doorsteps of witnesses to UFO activity dressed in military uniforms. In most of these cases, however, these mysterious characters are shown not to have been real military personnel at all: they are nothing less than outright imposters. The reports of these strange figures in uniforms largely began – and chiefly ended – in the 1960s, leaving the more conventional MIB (if they can be described as conventional!) to do what they do best – which is to threaten and terrorize people. Let’s take a look at some of the more notable cases of these uniformed creeps. Gareth Medway, who has put together an excellent list of MIB cases (you can find it at this link) says of one particularly intriguing case from 1957: “Olden Moore watched a circular machine land near Montville, Ohio, on 6th, a few days later the local sheriff drove to his house with men in air force uniforms, they took him to the field where he had seen the UFO, a helicopter was waiting there, he was flown to an airport and put on a plane to Washington, where he was imprisoned for three days, and two officers tried to get him to admit he had seen nothing but a ‘fireball.’ Finally he was flown back to Ohio, but later neither the sheriff nor the Air Force would back his story.” It is a tale that can be found in the pages of John Keel’s book, The Cosmic Question. And still on the matter of Keel… In February 1967, Keel had the opportunity to speak with Colonel George P. Freeman of the U.S. Air Force, who made the following, written statement about the MIB. Keel took careful note of it: “Mysterious men dressed in Air Force uniforms or bearing impressive credentials from government agencies have been silencing UFO witnesses. We have checked a number of these cases, and these men are not connected to the Air Force in any way. We haven’t been able to find out anything about these men. By posing as Air Force officers and government agents, they are committing a Federal offense. We would sure like to catch one – unfortunately the trail is always too cold by the time we hear about these cases, but we are still trying.” Barely a month later, specifically on March 1, 1967, Lieutenant General Hewitt T. Wheless of the U.S. Air Force, prepared the following official document. It was widely circulated within the Air Force: “Information, not verifiable, has reached Hq USAF that persons claiming to represent the Air Force or other Defense establishments have contacted citizens who have sighted unidentified flying objects. In one reported case, an individual in civilian clothes, who represented himself as a member of annaD, demanded and received photos belonging to a private citizen.” Wheless had more to say: “In another, a person in an Air Force uniform approached local police and other citizens who had sighted a UFO, assembled them in a school room and told them that they did not see what they thought they saw and that they should not talk to anyone about the sighting. All military and civilian personnel and particularly information officers and UFO investigating officers who hear of such reports should immediately notify their local OSI offices.” Kimberley Rackley, a good friend of mine and a skilled psychic, has had numerous encounters with these uniform-wearing characters – usually in her bedroom, in the dead of night. She says: “My normal MIBs resemble ninja’s or soldiers, always in black skin-tight clothing or fatigue uniforms [italics mine], and always with the aura of intense panic.” There’s also this, from Micah Hanks, who prepared a paper for me back in 2015 and that includes the following words: “In some instances, Keel described unsettling scenarios where he received unstamped envelopes, decorated with red and blue military stripes [italics mine] that gave off an official air, which contained odd messages on anomalous-looking stationary. They ultimately warned that the Mothman Prophecies author would meet an untimely fate, should he persist in looking after ‘matters that didn’t concern him.'” Are these uniformed men connected to the much weirder, real Men in Black? Or, are we looking at two different types of MIB? In all probability, it’s the latter scenario. Back to Keel, who stated: “It appears as if two groups of MIB are involved [italics mine]. We must understand and appreciate the efforts of this second group, and learn to discriminate between the two.” mysteriousuniverse.org/2020/02/mysterious-characters-in-military-uniforms/

mysteriousuniverse.org/2020/02/mind-games-and-a-menacing-visitor/ Mind Games and a Menacing Visitorby Nick Redfern / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/nredfern/February 9, 2020 Today, it’s time to take a leap into the past and take a look at a strange affair that went down on the night of Saturday, September 11, 1976. That was the decidedly ill-fated evening upon which the Orchard Beach, Maine, home of a certain Dr. Herbert Hopkins was darkened by a nightmarish Man in Black. Vampire-like scarcely begins to describe the terrible thing that descended on Hopkins’ home on that fraught night. When Hopkins opened the front-door, he was confronted by nothing less than a pale-faced, skinny, bald ghoul. Hopkins said that he creature – it certainly wasn’t human – was dressed in black, had dark and hostility-filled eyes, and sported the typical Fedora hat – that so many of the MIB seem to need to wear. The MIB made it very clear, and extremely quickly, that if Hopkins knew what was good for him he should immediately cease all of his then-current research into the life and experiences of a reported alien abductee: David Stephens, who lived in nearby Oxford. Hopkins, frozen to the bone, didn’t need telling twice. Once was enough. Just for good measure, the undeniably malevolent MIB – in a creepy monotone fashion – told Hopkins to take out of the right pocket of his pants one of the two coins that was in there and then hold it in the open palm of his hand. Hopkins didn’t even think to wonder how the MIB knew the coins were there; he just did as he was told. With a detectable threat in his robotic voice, the Man in Black ordered Hopkins to keep his eyes locked on the coin, which he did. To Hopkins’ amazement and horror, something terrifying happened: the coin transmuted. It turned blue in color; it then shimmered slightly – as if in a mini heat-haze – and then, in a second or so, became 100 percent vaporous. After a few moments the vapor was completely gone. The MIB implied that he could do exactly the same thing to Hopkins’ heart. Hopkins easily got the message – and quickly too. The MIB shuffled his curious way to the door and vanished – as in literally – into the chilled night. Hopkins’ Man in Black sounds like one of the strange and enigmatic characters that, hundreds of years ago, turned up late at night, dressed in black, and who threatened early alchemists to leave the matter alone. Brad Steiger spent a lot of time on this issue. And, on this very point, there is one important thing that I have left until now, something which further amplifies the connection between Herbert Hopkins’ MIB and the alchemists of old. According to Hopkins, at one point the man touched his finger to his lips – deliberately, for effect, it seems. Although the man’s face and hands were utterly white, his lips were bright red. When the MIB removed his finger from his lips, it was stained red. This led Hopkins to suspect the man was wearing lipstick. On the other hand, it’s worth noting that, way back in the 17th century, one Wenzel Seiler’s exposure to the domain of alchemy occurred when he ran his finger across a large, oak table in the monastery in which he worked, and found it coated in a bright red substance. It was, supposedly, the enigmatic Philosopher’s Stone; the “key” to opening the “door” behind which the secrets of alchemy are said to be held. It was almost as if Herbert Hopkins’ MIB was playing some very strange mind-game with Herbert Hopkins, ones in which he dropped more than a few clues to his – the MIB’s – linkage to alchemy, the Philosopher’s Stone, and the transmutation of coins. There’s a part-2 to all of this, one which revolves around more strange characters, swinging parties, menacing entities, and much more. Stay tuned. mysteriousuniverse.org/2020/02/mind-games-and-a-menacing-visitor/
