You should learn to dive, auntym. It's like going to another world. Everything is different, the sights, sounds, feelings, even the gravity is different. It's really an amazing experience.

Well that IS very interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed it and find the one guy (who re-dated the sphinx) to be laughable at times...open minded my eye! ha! Any who, was very good. I have heard of the findings before but had never seen anything of it,no footage, etc. So 2 thumbs up for me (for the video and the sharing) !! ;D

I saw this on the discovery channel... it is very interesting... but they said (on the program I watched) that it is NOT man-made, it just looks like it is. They said it had something to do with the way the rocks were washed away and a bunch of scientific mumbo-jumbo to explain that it is an amazing, but natural rock formation.
It does look like right angles though... how odd. Who knows for sure? ~shrug~

I remember watching a piece on this where they claimed that one section is a carved face. I cannot remember the show unfortunately. I was a bit skeptical when they showed this particular section. You could see the face, but only after they drew the outlines for you. If I was out swimming around it I don't think I would see it for a face.

Amazing video..I wish I were a diver too Auntie I'm wondering if everyone has seen the Viet Nam Caves they've been running stories on (Yahoo). So huge that skyscrapers can fit in it, it has a forest in it and clouds. www.geekosystem.com/worlds-largest-cave/

I recall reading about that formation years ago. Is it natural, or man-made? The thought exists that it is both...an intentional manipulation of an otherwise natural geological formation. Evidence certainly supports both theories, and ultimately supports the fact that is both the most of all.
Some models of "turning back the geological clock" reveal that the site was, at one time, above sea level. The glacial melt at the end of the last major Ice Age increased sea level worldwide and thus submerged the site under the waves. I say "major" here because there is plenty of evidence to suggest that the earth has been experiencing "minor" Ice Ages since that time - most notably in the 16th century.

Aha!! I finally get to watch it! I have been wanting to watch that video ever since it was first posted but I could never find the time to do it. I finally downloaded it so I could watch it at work when I wasn't on the internet. It's very interesting. From the looks of it I wouldn't doubt that it might be man-made since there are submerged cities and megalithic structures all along the coastlines all around the world. People have a tendency to build cities right on the coastline because they never think that the water is going to rise and flood them out. It usually does so gradually at an almost imperceptible rate, and the inhabitants of the city gradually move away from the approaching water without even realizing what is happening. There are many old stone roads down in South America and other parts of the world that actually lead right into the ocean. It is also possible that there could have been a major rise in the sea level right at the end of the ice age that could have caused the site to become submerged. It did not happen over night though. It still would have taken many, many years to happen so I don't know if that would account for the flood tales that exist around the world. Something else that you might want to consider about this particular site is that Japan is made up of a series of volcanic islands and volcanic islands do sometimes collapse and sink into the ocean. The reason for this is that volcanoes produce a lot of lava tubes, that are just long hollow tubes that honeycomb through the island, and when the weight of the land above gets too great the tubes collapse and the island could sink drastically. That may be what happened here. A question that I have is how did they come up with the date of 10,000 t0 13,000 years old for this site? As far as I know there hasn't been any scientific dating done to determine how old it is. Are they just assuming that because that is when the ice age ended?
