Knowing what others enjoy when relaxing is a nice way to sneak a peek at 'who they are'.
I tend to like adventure with a tongue and cheek comedy and excellent acting, good science fiction and fantasy.
Me too.
I saw Evolution in high school. I thought it was a horrible movie... but it was pretty funny in places.
Love Independence Day. Will Smith cracks me up. Great special effects too, I agree!
MIB: Again: Will Smith cracks me up.
Indianna Jones: Ohhh yes.
I cry every time I see Armageddon too. ;D
I love Star Wars (the original trilogy... can't stand the new ones), the Harry Potter movies, The Lord Of The Rings movies, and the occasional "chick flick" (although most make me roll my eyes).
I on the other hand Jo, love horror movies. I can't watch them alone... but I love the adrenaline rush I get when I watch them... unless they're really REALLY scary.
That Silent Hill movie scared the pants off of me... lol... something about those Zombie nurses really got to me. That movied scared the pants off of my friend who saw it with me too.
She had played the video game which the movie was based on. Every four minutes during the movie she would curl up into the fetal position in her seat and cover her eyes and shout, "Don't look Lorelei! DON'T LOOK!!!! I know what's COMING!!!! DON'T LOOK!!!!"
Which got me on edge just a little bit... ok a lot... lol...
We got out of the movie theater. It was dark, and there was mist everywhere in the parking lot and almost no cars. We kinda looked at eachother like
She drove me back to my house. The drive home went something like this:
"Did you hear that?!"
"Yea..."
"OMG... what do you think it was?"
"OMG! What was that?!"
"I think it was a tree..."
"Are you sure?!"
"No...."
We went inside and sat up in the living room with all of the lights on looking at eachother. She finally admitted to me that she was too scared to go back outside.
It was like midnight, and my father came out of his bedroom and walked down the hallway, stared at us with his eyes half-open, turned and saw all the lights were on, looked back at me and said, "What's going on?"
"Zombie movie..." I said, very seriously. "Is it OK if she spends the night? We don't want the zombies to get her..." (Mind you, I was 20 and she was 19 at the time...)
Dad smiled at us, said, "Oh... yea it's fine..." and went back to bed.
Good times... lol...
I love Starship Troopers. Call me disturbed... but I do love that movie...
Oh yea. I forgot to mention one of my most favorite movies of all time. The Fifth Element... which is the movie my avatar is from.
