I was on Mufom face page and I noticed a new thing that was on there . On the left side under the event map was a tag saying MUFON FORUM . I clicked on it and lo and behold I thought I was on the Edge of Reality ;D same colors and basicly the copy of this forum .

They did come pretty close with the color scheme and background didn't they? Close, but not quite the same. Ours is better. ;D

I see that Mo is the administrator. He should do a decent job with it if the BoD will stay out of the way and let him. Isn't it kind of interesting though that MUFON ended up creating a forum that is a virtual replica of their old forum. I guess they just erased four years worth of conversations and alienated hundreds of people for nothing. Maybe they have learned from their mistakes.

I agree, auntym.
They do have a lot of good people there, like Spotless, Mo, and Patty, but the ones at the top making the decisions are not doing the best job in the world. The way they shut down the old forum still makes my blood boil. I'm hoping someday the BoD will pull their heads out of their rearends and rebuild the organization into something that people can once again be proud to be a part of, but they still have a long way to go before they get there. Maybe I'm the one who is being overly optimistic in thinking that they ever will. We'll see what happens.

Between TEOR, (the Concorde) and the cheap Russian copy (TU-144) 'Concordski' (Mufon), I know which I am flying with.

If it's successful I'm sure they will take credit for it. I wonder if any of the BoD even know they have a new forum? They were clueless about the first one until right before they shut it down.

What the heck happened to that airplane? it just exploded in mid-air! It didn't even hit anything. Is that kind of what happened to your old forum? Skywalker told me it just dissappeared one day.

Yep, MUFON destroyed it with the push of a button.

The reason they got so many new members today is because they just sent out an email to all of the MUFON members promoting it. " MUFON HQ is happy to announce the new and improved MUFON Forum is back and better than before. We apologize for the inconvenience during this important transition to a safer and more secure server. It's time to get back to the MUFON Forum to discuss what's new and compelling!
Former members of the old forum will need to log on to this new forum and re-subscribe in order to follow and participate.
If you're new to the MUFON Forum and would like to contribute to the discussions, don't hesitate to follow the link and join the MUFON Forum. There's no obligation and we welcome your comments and views."
When they claim it is back and better than before I assume they are comparing it to the second version of the forum which looked like a cereal box. It isn't better than the first one. And when they say that "there's no obligation and we welcome your comments and views" I assume that means they will welcome people's comments until the BoD finds out that somebody said something negative about them at which point they will probably pull the plug on it again. I doubt that this one will ever be as successful as the first. They created a lot of distrust and negative feelings when they shut the forum down the first time. I haven't seen them make any effort to resolve that problem. I wish Mo the best of luck with it. He seems like a decent guy. It probably won't be long before they fire him or force him to resign.

It should be interesting to see what happens.

thats a good question. I know for my self any way i would be 10x more likely to participate there then I ever would with a MUFON sponsored forum.

They changed the colors just slightly on their forum today. It looks better than it did but now it looks even more like TEOR than it did before.
