I came across this article and I'm floored. This is the closest thing I have read that I experienced as a child with my dad. Some you might remember me talking about a green fog on other forums. The very truncated form of the story is I awoke one night with a bright green light filling my room. I left my room and went to the living room looking for my dad. He wasn't there, but I found the front door open. I went to the front door, and I found my dad standing in the middle of the yard. Our yard with filled with this bright green fog. We both stood there, in our different spots, for a few minutes. I remember my dad spending his time looking towards the sky. We lived in a very isolated area. No street lights or city lights. I have never heard anything close to this experience. So finding this article makes me very excited. My dad and I have spoke a few times about this night, and we both felt that it wasnt something "normal". www.mysterious-america.net/1974%20Aveley%20Abduction.htmlSome quotes from the article that caught my eye: Then as they were driving through the bend in the road, no more than 30 yards ahead of them, there was a dense green “mist” or “fog” covering the road up to a height of about 8-9 feet. The couple had seen fog different times in their lives, but this green “fog” seemed very different from anything that they had ever experienced previously. In addition, it seemed very light inside the “fog,” they felt very cold (the windows were rolled up), and they recalled a tingling sensation and remarked on the curious dead silence. Then tack on the paranormal experiences the family had afterwards...., it hits close to home for me.

sansseed, this sounds familiar to me also.. About eating meat. I told my husband I hate the taste of it ever since the missing time. first it was beef, then it was chicken. Fish is not so bad, but cant eat it sometimes. The taste of it totally changed to me. then the turning of door knobs and force on the door. Many things here are very real to me. My beam you could say fog was in it, as it was not clear looking. but I seen the cone shape to the craft. Thanks for posting. I have never read this story before. At least I do not remember it..

Lois, that is odd about food aversions. I cannot say as I have ever had any aversions to eating meat, except when I was pregnant. I remember contemplating becoming a vegan. Not because I felt compelled, but because it was the "cool" thing to do at the time. It lasted about a day and I was running for a cheese burger.

I will be gnawing on the last animal protein source available. My brief attempt at vegetarianism turned me into a sneak and thief. I'd run off with the laundry money and eat a meat pie (my then partner was a true veggie man and still is - not with me of course). My now partner/husband and I eat the flesh of others with relish. Or A 1 sauce.

Some crazy vegan woman tried to get me to be a vegetarian once. She kept telling me that I should eat more vegetables. My response was to say "Lady, I come from Texas. The only vegetables we grow down here are the kind that have horns and say Mooo."

“Suddenly I felt a very strange sensation in my feet: it gradually moved up my whole body and over my head. It was a very stimulating and soothing feeling that soon passed away. Then the sensation was felt again in my feet, and again it moved up through my body to my head. Once more it faded and went. This feeling left me really at ease and peaceful, whereas before I had been very frightened after hearing the banging.”
...
I have experienced this sensation numerous times during my life... maybe twice a week... always at night when I'm going to sleep... I have always rationalized this sensation as nerve damage in my feet from working on my feet for too many years...

Last night we had a string of pretty nasty storm blow through our area. As the last of it headed off towards the east, I went outside with my dog to watch the lightning show. It was pretty amazing to watch. There was a great deal of lightning through and between the clouds. As I stood there watching this, I saw a red light moving from right to left (south to north). A part of me got pretty excited at first, but alas it was just an airplane skirting the outer edges of the storm. I could only imagine what the storm looked like from the perspective of the plane! This was a large and powerful storm that created several possible tornados. Based on the speed the plane was traveling at, I think it just wanted to get the heck away from it. ;D All of it was pretty fun to watch. Just thought I would share.

I thought about getting some pics, but I knew that my picture taking skills would not be up to par. Plus, it was one of those moments where you just wanted to stare and watch. It was so incredible.

I'm not sure what to make of this, or my husband. Actually, this had him a little freaked. Our son woke up yesterday, who is 4, insistent that grandpa (my husband's father) hurt his knee and that we needed to call grandpa to check on him. My husband questioned our son about it, and he was able to describe in pretty good detail, for a 4 year old, how grandpa got hurt. Unfortunately, my husband had to leave for work and couldn't call his dad until last night. When my husband called, a woman answered the phone and then passed the phone to his dad. My husband didn't recognize the woman nor did she identify herself, and when he asked his dad about her his dad was evasive by saying it was nobody. If it was someone they knew his dad would have been forthcoming about who she was. So, my husband left it alone asked him about his health and if he has fallen lately, but his dad replied that he was fine and his knee was fine. Now, grandpa is in his mid 80's, lives alone, and gets very few visitors, especially at 9pm at night (the man is in bed at 8pm every night). Anyone who knows him, and visit him, know to do it in the morning. He is fiercely independent, but finally gave in about a year ago to get Life Alert. We know that he has fallen quite a bit because when we visit him he will have bruises and other signs of falling. Yet, he will never admit it. My husband's instinct is to blow this off, but I know better. I have had those dreams that came true, and I'm thinking our son has some of this in him. Plus, he was so adamant about it. It was all he talked about for the first few hours yesterday morning. My gut is telling me that if grandpa isn't hurt right now, he will be soon. It is one thing when these things happen to yourself, but when you start to see it in your children, it can be a bit nerve wracking.

This morning I was laying in bed, but awake. It had started raining and I was listening to the rain on the roof. Then something happened. I'm having a hard time putting it into words. It's like the air changed in the house. Almost like the air was being sucked out. Then I felt something run through the house. I say felt because I felt it more than I heard it. I felt the vibration, but I didn't hear any footsteps. Whatever "it" was, it ran through the house and into the kitchen. Then I heard movement in the kitchen, like papers being rustled and things being moved. I looked over at my dog and she had her head up and ears cocked and listening, so I knew it wasn't just me. Then the noise stopped and the air seemed normal again. My dog put her head back down, but she stayed on alert. Her ears were in constant motion. After a while she relaxed again. It was so strange. It almost felt like a force went through the house.

Wow... that's really spooky sansseed...
Sometimes a spiritual presence will produce "Cold Spots" or pressure differences in an active location. I feel them around my house a lot... what you are describing though is a lot bigger than your average "Cold Spot". Hmmm...

I've been knocking this memory I have around my mind lately. I'm not sure what to make of it, but it has always bothered me. It happened when I was a teenager. It was night and I'm in bed. I cannot remember if I was asleep and woke up to see this thing, or if I was awake already. Either way..., there was a bright white light outside my window and there was SOMETHING standing looking down at me in my bed. The next thing I remember is waking up in the morning. When I awoke, I was completely freaked because I knew it wasn't a dream. It was extremely real. So much so, that it has hung on for 20 years. I wish I could describe what it was, but the face was, and still is, obscured to me. Yet, I knew it was looking at me and I felt extreme terror. I've been focusing on this memory lately with the hopes of the face becoming more clear, but it hasn't.

That is very similar to what I experienced. A bright white light outside my window with light filling up the room. I was paralyzed and then I floated up into the air. I don't remember seeing any beings right then but it felt like somebody was there, and something had to have pulled the covers off of me and put me in the position I was in. I never sleep in that position.

We are about to make our yearly excursion into the woods. I'm always excited to make this trip, but this year I'm also feeling some apprehension. This is the area I grew up, and many of my "experiences" happened there. Last year, towards the end of the trip, I had a dream that really startled me. So much so, that I was very relieved that it was our last night there. The area is a very secluded spot on Lake Michigan. It's a very spiritual place for me, but this year I'm not feeling the "pull" that I normally do. I don't know, maybe I'm thinking about it too much.

You may still be feeling some anxiety because of the dream you had last year. Your mind is just picking up from where you left off the last time. Of course, it could be a premonition...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't there a number of reports of orange lights last year around the 4th of July? The reason I'm asking is because my husband and I saw one last night right after we got done watching fireworks. It was definitely an orange steady light. It was traveling horizontally through the sky. My thought is it was some type of airplane. It traveled about the same speed and height of an airplane. Although, after we saw this light we saw an airplane and could easily discern the red/green blinking lights. So, it wasn't your conventional commercial airliner. Any thoughts?

There have been reports of strange colored "fireballs" each of the past two years during the Fourth of July holidays. This year the strangeness continues. The NUFORC site has several reports that came in on July 4 and all describe orange-colored lights floating through the sky. www.nuforc.org/BEAVERTON, OREGON, MONDAY, JULY 04, 2011 @ 00:48 HRS. (PACIFIC) - A woman witnesses a “fireball,” the color of “flame,” slowly move across the sky, appear to stop, and then slowly move to the horizon.
WEST LAFAYETTE, INDIANA, SUNDAY, JULY 03RD 2011, @ 23:55 HRS. (CENTRAL) - A man witnesses an “orange-amber” fireball move above the clouds.
NAMPA, IDAHO, SUNDAY, JULY 03RD, 2011 @ 22:50 HRS. (MOUNTAIN) - Four witnesses observe two red “fireballs” pass across the night sky, the two events separated by approximately ten minutes.
WAVERLY, NEBRASKA, SUNDAY, JULY 03RD 2011 @ 22:30 HRS. (CENTRAL) -Seven adult witnesses observe approximately six red lights pass overhead, at apparently quite high altitude.
WILLIAMSTON, MICHIGAN, SUNDAY, JULY 03RD, 2011 @ 22:15 HRS. (EASTERN) - A woman, while walking her dog, witnesses two “large” orange-red “fireballs” pass slowly overhead, and continue on to over the horizon.
MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON, SUNDAY, JULY 03RD, 2011 @ 22:00 HRS. (PACIFIC) - Two adults witness a distinctly red “fireball” maneuver back and forth, pass overhead slowly, then disappear.
LONGVIEW, WASHINGTON, SUNDAY JULY 03RD, 2011 @ 22:00 HRS. (PACIFIC) -A mother and son watch three bright red objects pass overhead.
BARRINGTON, ILLINOIS, SUNDAY, JULY 03RD, 2011 @ 21:30 HRS. (CENTRAL) - Approximately 20 witnesses observe eight orange, triangular-shaped, objects drift across the sky, then fade out.I think that a lot of these cases are actually describing sky-lantern or Chinese lanterns that people set loose during holiday celebrations. It's possible that not all of them are but some are.

I saw a blinking orange light shoot through the sky last winter. It wasn't on the Fourth of July though, I don't remember what day it was.

Thanks, skywalker. I wonder why there are so many sighting on the 4th? Mistaken fireworks? More people looking towards the sky? What I saw certainly wasn't a firework, unless fireworks can travel horizontally for a full minute. I would have said it was an airplane by the way it flew, except for the solid non blinking orange light. My gut tells me that it's just some type of aircraft, but it is certainly interesting.

I think it may be a combination of all of those things. With millions of extra eyes staring up at the skies somebody is bound to see something that normally wouldn't be seen. Whether it is a UFO or not, there would still be an increase in reports for the holiday weekend.

I had a strange experience Tuesday night while camping. I'm not really sure if it is anything, but thought I would share. I was camping with some family and friends. It's a pretty remote location on Lake Michigan. At about 11:00pm that night I was standing outside of my tent with a friend of mine. We were just looking out towards the lake and talking. To the left of us there is woods, and through those trees we were seeing flashes of lights. Not firefly kind of flashes, but camera flash kind of flash. We saw it about five times, and just kind of shrugged as to the source and went off to bed. While I was laying in bed I was seeing more flashes of lights, but this time it was more like a strobe light. There would be a couple of quick flashes and then nothing for a minute, and then it would happen again. Again, this happened about five times. Eventually, I just fell asleep. The next morning/day I didn't give the lights a thought until I was putting on sunscreen. While applying it to my left arm I noticed on the inside of my upper arm three puncture spots. They were small, bruised, and in one you can definitely make out a puncture spot. They were in somewhat of a triangular shape, but not a perfect triangle. My first thought was bug bites, but I have been bitten by pretty much everything in the two weeks of camping and none looked like these marks. Plus, there was no pain or itching with these marks. I desperately wanted to take a picture, but the batteries died on my camera, and I was leery about asking others for their camera. I was finding it hard to explain why I wanted to take a picture of my arm. *Shrug* Who knows. Could be anything, I guess.

A series of bright flashes, a triangle pattern of marks on your left inner arm the following morning, and a dead battery - camera or cell phone? That is a interesting intersection of events. A case recently had a pattern each time his son was abducted repeatedly, each time a flash of white blue light appeared, as if out of no where. No apparent source for the light. Were your batteries fully charged the night before? After two weeks perhaps the batteries were already tired? Just checking simple things first. Anyone else during your two week camping expedition notice anything unusual that same night or other times? Your friend? It is interesting. Steve
