Yesterday afternoon I was home alone. I was on the couch surfing the net when one of my son's toys went off by itself (a laughing dog). It's sound activated, and usually takes clapping right next to it for it to work. All was quiet when it went off..., no TV, radio, or videos. Made me jump. I've never been a big fan of laughing dolls. For some reason they've always creeped the heck out of me. So, this was extra creepy to me. I ignored it, but about 10 mins later it did it again. At this point I got up and turned the power switch off. All was quiet after that, so I'm telling myself it was the batteries going bad.
Also, yesterday I saw quite a few of the white shadows. I've seen this in the past, but not in quite some time. The best I can describe it is a misty white blob. There really is no shape to it, and they move quickly.
Then last night as I was just laying down in bed, I got a vision. It was of an older woman who was tall and thin, and she was standing at the end of my bed watching me. It wasn't anyone I recognize, and the vision was brief. I looked around the room, but saw nothing. I chalked it up to my imagination, given the events of the day. Yet, it still took me some time to relax and fall asleep.

I was just outside with the dog, and looking up at the stars. After a moment I saw 3 star-like lights moving in a straight line. As I was starring at them I began to notice another light moving..., then another. I ended up counting up to 15 lights that looked like they were all moving in a straight line. Of course, I'm thinking of all possibilities like planes, satellites, etc. Then, as I was standing there in amazement, it dawns on me. Those lights weren't moving..., the clouds were! Ooops. Stellar mental moment.

This illusion has happened to me before. ;D It looks very real and can seem that stars or objects are racing across the sky when in reality,,,,its just clouds moving causing the effect . I thought,,,and had to double,,and triple check,,,to make sure when the clouds had just opened up for the 1st time all day and night that what I was seeing wasn't this same illusion when we saw about 100 objects moving. I personally dont classify them as extra -terrestrial objects,,,,I feel that something was breaking up in the upper atmosphere . I just dont know.

It's good that you were able to figure out it was just the clouds Sansseed.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. Yes, it does give the illusion of them racing across the sky. At one point I was thinking it could be a squad (not sure if that's the right term) of military planes, because they were moving so quickly and commercial planes wouldn't fly that close together. Then I thought why would so many military planes be going all in the same direction. That could not be good. Thankfully I realized it was the coulds before my imagination went spiraling away from me. ;D

It's good that you were able to figure out it was just the clouds Sansseed. Trust me, I had all kind of scenarios going through my head before I figured it out. I don't know if I would have figured it out if there wasn't an large break in the clouds that allowed me to see the stars clearly for a few moments, and I was able to see that they weren't moving. Then a smaller cloud went by and I was able to see the illusion it created. Kind of amazing how the brain creates the illusion when it can't figure out the information it's receiving.

I had a strange dreaming night. One dream I can't fully remember, but I do remember it was dark and I was laying on my side. The area around me was dark but my body was within a light, and I was naked. I woke with a start, and the hair on the back of my neck and arms were standing on end. It took several deep breaths to slow my heart. I looked around the room and all seemed normal. Then I went right back out.

Where were you lying in the dream, sanseed? Were you in the same bed or some place else?

Where were you lying in the dream, sanseed? Were you in the same bed or some place else? I wish I could tell you, but I don't remember. all I remember of the dream is this one scene. My sense is that I was not in my own bed because it was so dark around me (I could only see my body and nothing else) and it "felt" open, like there was nothing around me. Yet, this is all conjecture because I remember so little of the dream, and it could be my own mind filling in the blanks.

It was a rough night last night. It was only me and my dog at home. My dog woke me up at 2:45am barking and growling while looking out the door of my bedroom. Upon waking my first awareness, besides the dog, was I was sick to my stomach. So much so, that I was afraid to move because I thought I might be sick. I laid there hoping for the feeling to subside and watching my dog. She was at full alert status. Standing with her tail down and ears back staring at the door. Finally I felt like I could move without throwing up and sat up in bed. When my dog saw this she jumped off the bed and went straight for the door and waited for me (I keep the door closed at night). I opened the door for her and she went tearing through the house as if searching for something. She actually checked out every room. I saw nothing unusual, and looked out the windows and saw nothing. After about 10 minutes I went back to the bedroom with my dog. She wasn't as alert, but she remained sitting up and listening for quite some time. I also stayed up until well after 4am. Partly because I was scared and partly because I still wasn't feeling well. I have no idea what got my dog so riled, but she hasn't done this in a very long time. She's not prone to barking at every sound or thing, just strangers. Growling is an even less occurrence for her. So, when she growls, I know something is really wrong. She was feeling threatened last night, but nothing I could see.

That's weird. Did anything else unusual happen? Any dreams or anything? Maybe whatever was making you feel sick was affecting the dog too.

I don't remember my dreams prior to this event. Afterwards, once I was able to sleep, my dreams were filled with darkness and strange sounds, but I think that was due to mindset prior to falling asleep. I was pretty freaked out. My sleep was pretty restless afterwards.
The only other odd thing was while I was walking through the living room on my way back to the bedroom. I had the lights on at this time and I thought I saw a shadow dart through the room. It stopped me in my tracks. Yet, I assumed it was my imagination getting away from me because I was scared. At least that's what I told myself because I really couldn't handle the alternative at that moment.

That sounds like a ghost to me, sanseeds. That might be what the dog was barking at too. Dogs can sometimes sense ghosts. What did the shadow look like?

Interesting... Could have been a ghost... could have been another type of visitor... Any strange marks on you today? Anything out of place?

Honestly, it was so fast it had no shape I could see. It was more like a mist that just flew across the room. Seriously, the image only lasted a second. Yet, it wasn't out the corner of my eye. It was straight on.

Perhaps because you were already on alert because of the dog growling and barking your adrenaline was pumping which made you notice things that you normally wouldn't have seen. The shadow dude might have been invisible to you under normal circumstances but this time the excitement allowed you to catch a glimpse of it.

Interesting... Could have been a ghost... could have been another type of visitor... Any strange marks on you today? Anything out of place? No, no marks or anything out of place. Yet, later today something strange happened. I took my son to the store to buy a fathers day card. I showed him the cards for daddy section and told him to pick one he liked. I moved a a few feet away to look for a card from me. Within seconds he grabbed a card and opened it and out came a tune that my grandmother use to sing to me when I was a child. I went still. I never heard that song except from her. My son looked up at me and said that was the card he wanted to get. All the way home he opened and closed the card to play the song over and over. My grandma passed away 11 years ago. Yet, in that moment I knew she was with me. Thankfully, he was in the back seat and couldn't see me crying. The emotion and moment was that strong. Coincidence? I don't think so. This is a very old song. From the 1940's or earlier. I don't think it would pop up in many music cards today. Maybe she was a part of what happened last night, or maybe she's trying to tell me she's with me and protecting me. I don't know. Either way, I'll take it.

It's interesting and makes sense. I'm always in a mode to find a rational explanation to these things. It might block me from looking at all explanations.

Lorelei, I was just coming on here to correct myself. I looked up the song "A Bushel and a Peck". It was actually published in 1950. Not as old as I thought, but still old. Well, old in relation to today's music. I don't want to offend anyone by my use of the term "old".

weird. But awesome ;D. I've never heard that song in a card! My mom used to sing that to me as a toddler and tickle my neck. Then I saw her do it with my older nephews . Haven't heard it for a long, long time. (my mom is now 78 yrs. old.)

wow, almost a year since I posted here. There have been things that have happened, but nothing too major. I think in some ways I've become normalized to the strangeness. I don't freak out, or become scared, as much as I use to. It's been a long time since I stayed up all night out of fear. Why? Who knows. Could be because my husband doesn't travel as much, and having him home lowers my anxieties. Maybe because nothing much has happened. In some ways I feel like I've shut myself down, or blocked myself off. Maybe denial is a better way to put it. My brain, my physical self, could not take it any more. I needed a break from all of it. Yet, I never left behind the searching. I still wanted answers, not that any ever came. The voyage we are on is one of dense fog and obtuse paths. This is the conclusion I've come to. I can only hope time will this.

Nice to see you again, sanseed. I'm glad you made it on to the forum after the new system kicked in. With all the bugs that Proboards has been having with it I never know what is going to happen.
