www.mysticaltravel.com/article/do-you-believe-fairiesDo you believe in fairies?Submitted by Dirk Vander Ploeg on Tue, 04/19/2011 - 12:57 by Diane Maclean Publisher's Note: I find this story one of the most fascinating of all paranormal tales. I desperately want to believe - it would be wonderful if it were. It could be trick photography: a double exposure. But what if it isn't? If you had asked your great-great-grandmother if she believed in fairies, she would have looked at you askance. Believe in fairies? Of course she did! Ninety-five per cent of Scots continued to believe in fairies right up until the middle of the 19th century. These were not the diminutive, be-winged fairies of 1800s children's books. No, these were strange folk who bewitched you, killed your cattle and kidnapped your wives and daughters. ...... Fairy lore flowed through the centuries, their presence acknowledged in ballads, poems and stories. They came in all shapes and sizes and different parts of Scotland had different myths. Even today they are remembered in the fairy glens and fairy hills found in every part of Scotland. This belief in fairies extended beyond Scotland; there was almost universal acknowledgement that they existed. There's no question that they existed. We have two fairy houses quite close by and we have records of conversations between fairies and people on the island. -- Sir Iain Noble TO CONTINUE READING CLICK ON ABOVE LINK

Those were the Cottingly Fairy pictures and it about broke my heart to find they were faked by the cousins and how. Personally...I will always believe in fairies..leprechauns..and elves (I'm not too big on trolls). I do think they belonged to a time long since faded into the myst..and I find that sad. In the early 1980s Elsie and Frances admitted that the photographs were faked using cardboard cutouts of fairies copied from a popular children's book of the time, but Frances continued to claim that the fifth and final photograph was genuine. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cottingley_fairies

www.paranominal.com/u-f-o-sightings/alien-abduction/faeries-aliens/Faeries, AliensPublished on May 16, 2011 by Paranominal Tales of Otherworlds are almost universal in folklore and myth. There is not space to recount all of them, but today there has been a renewed interest in tales from the British Isles and Scandinavia, specifically those related to faeries, elves and other such Otherworldly creatures. An interesting question to consider is whether these ancient tales were perhaps references to what modern philosophers and quantum physicists now call multidimensions, parallel worlds or possible worlds. These are all terms for the theory that reality is made of many dimensions, not all of them conforming to the same laws, especially in terms of time. Faerie stories from the British Isles are of particular interest here, because they often specifically refer to the distortion of time that occurs when mortals interact with denizens of faerie. One of the most popular stories, from Ireland, is that of Oisin, a young man who falls in love with a faery woman, Niamh, and follows her to Tir Na Nog, the Land of Eternal Youth. Tir Na Nog is a fascinating topic of its own, as it is a place where time as we know it does not exist. Oisin, of course, is mortal, but has the choice of remaining in Tir Na Nog where he would become immune to the passage of time. As often occurs in such tales, he makes the mistake of returning to his native land, where he finds that hundreds of years have passed and everyone he knew are long dead. Stories from other lands have similar themes. The Welsh version of Tir Na Nog is Annwn, which is featured in the Mabinogion collection of stories. The Norse have Valhalla, though this is less a parallel world and more like the Christian heaven, as it is a place where mortals go after dying a heroic death. Yet another, more modern, version of time distortion occurs in stories (whether true or not) of alien abductions. These are often frightening experiences, though sometimes the aliens encountered are friendly. In many cases, a common feature is that when the person is fortunate enough to be returned to earth, a distortion of time has occurred. As with faerie stories, this time distortion can go either way -even much more or much less time has passed than the “victim” believed. TO CONTINUE READING CLICK ON ABOVE LINK

The first film clip didn't look like anything I want to meet - more like an overweight budgie. The second clip was more intreguing. I've posted this before - when I was sick with a high fever they came to me and kept me company and played some wind instrument that was in strange tunings. There are only two things I've heard that came close to that sound. One, my father ordered and installed some aluminum roll down window blinds for our station wagon (they never caught on...I've never heard of anyone else who has seen them). When the wind whistled in through tiny slits it made a wailing whistle. The other item that evokes it is a wind chime made of tubular aluminum - it chimes in odd sound combinations. I wanted to go with them and they laughed and said I had to live my life. If I left with them I wouldn't be back. As a child I did understand what they were telling me.
Much later a group of us women were doing a visualization (for our pleasure). It involved setting up a safe place to leave your body and then going on an adventure (one person read it and stayed present). I went to the edge of the forest and met with the fairies - they were lithe human sized - like the fairie folk in the movie Lord of the Ring. Everyone's clothes were falling off but I was embarassed so they laughed and the leaves in the more critical areas stayed put. The king(?) leader(?) man proposed a toast - to Paulette who's not sure if she wants to be happy or not. This was an accurate statement of my situation at the time - I knew I needed to leave my marriage and get a career going but I had small children that took all my energy. So I stayed another 5 or 6 years after that but I never forgot. I am mostly happy now (more so than earlier in my life). I can't get with fairies that look like bugs (tinkerbell) or little flappy things. Mine were beautiful and sexually aluring - both sexes. IMO.

I think that if we have the 'right' eyes we can see all sorts of things. As we grow older our vision tends to become more narrow rather than less. Optimally we are supposed to keep a balance between the spiritual and the physical (in this case spiritual being what I call other realities or dimensions). In adult hood as we face the problems of living, raising families and (as we've been coached to do) behaving as responsible adults..the balance gets tipped and once tipped..very hard to regain spiritual footing. I think those here have a better shot at that than many do..we already have a boost toward other realities in our beliefs. On the other hand if the balance gets tipped the other way..it's very hard to exist here in the reality we have to deal with and a lot easier to seem 'crazy'. So I think yes..some people see fairies..angels..goblins and trolls..I think they are part of other realities or dimensions that it once was easier to co-exist with.

I agree with all your points Jo. Children, like animals, are concrete thinkers. People accuse children (or praise them) for having imaginations but in truth they see what they see. They don't see what isn't there! They may misinterpret what they see (as can we all).
Animals can't be told to "believe" in spirits or ghosts but they do react to them. They seem to react to visitors too - we've had threads on this in the past.

www.ghosttheory.com/2011/08/13/mexican-media-promotes-real-life-fairyanyone speak spanish?REAL LIFE FAIRY?Mexican news agencies were quick to show a “real fairy” that was supposedly found the outskirts of Guadalajara, Mexico. The supposed fairy was found by a 22 year old man who claimed to have captured the creature while picking Guavas. His mother gave an emotional testimony to the cameras, claiming to have had experienced some sort of spiritual awakening. ..... As the word spread across the town, hundreds of residents lined up for up to three hours at a time to take a glimpse of the so-called “fairy”. Not missing a beat, the son and mother setup a makeshift sign outside their home, which showed the fees charged for taking a look at the fairy, as well as taking video and photos of it. All had a different price. As the word and photos spread through the Mexican media, many more people began making their way to pay visit to the supposed fairy. A reader quickly recognized what many believed to be a fairy, as a popular toy sold across the country. Regardless of this, many still aired the footage as something “unexplained” and continued with the notion that this was a mysterious creature. Most residents quickly began talking to the press cameras claiming that they knew where these fairies lived and that they’ve heard tales of them growing up. Needless to say, this is a prime example of word-of-mouth myth creation. CONTINUE READING: www.ghosttheory.com/2011/08/13/mexican-media-promotes-real-life-fairy

Fairies Investigated in Irish Court[/color] Posted by Beachcombing August 16, 2011 Beach has been enjoying himself with fairies these last few months, looking at late eighteenth- and nineteenth-century news-reports from Britain and Ireland. What is curious is that fairies very often appear in the law pages of the newspapers. They do so typically in one of two guises: (i) child abuse because parents believe the child is a changeling or (ii) swindles based on a seer claiming to know the will of the fairies and then disappearing to America with ten sovereigns. However, just today he stumbled on this extraordinary account from the Limerick Star from the early nineteenth century that does not fit into either of these categories. Here, instead, worlds are colliding. On the one hand, we have the bench and the local squires defending the status quo and rattled by rumours of a nocturnal gathering in a time when Ireland was perpetually on the edge of rebellion. And then on the other there is the Irish peasantry gently explaining the reality of fairies to their betters. When Beach first read this he thought that it was a joke, but it is not outré enough for that and our writer himself assures us: that ‘ art of the business which was before the court this day has so much the appearance of levity, as that it may be considered a fiction; but every word of it, I pledge myself, is literally true, and occupied much of the time of the bench‘.

My sister said she seen fairy's out in her flower garden many times. Of course we never took her seriously. Her grown children who were married has just laughed about it ever since. My sister is now 80 years old but this was 20.. 30 years ago. To tell you the truth I did not believe they existed. Those woman from about a century ago, told of fairies in their back yard and it was later proven to be a hoax. So this is why I never believed in them . I could see if they were from a different dimension.. Anything is possible. It just seems more people would be witnessing them.

Sky, I wondered the same thing about the "lil alien body", seems plausible to me. Lois, there have been many sightings of fairies in the past, right over here in Kentucky there was a man and his son out fishing in a boat or canoe and stopped off at a nice flat spot along the waterway to rest and have some lunch . They both saw the lil people on the bank singing and dancing and it startled them so bad they got back in their boat and went on down stream further. But they did tell about it and tried to go back with other people to find them but to no avail of course. If you look it up there are a lot of accounts of seeing them though. Kindof like bigfoot, people say they have seen them but thus far no definitive proof. Soon to change , me thinks!

Well..stories of fairies, brownies, elves, leprechauns and other small beings are in most countries. When the data base is that wide..I think there must be truth to it. It makes a great deal of sense to me that other dimensions exist and that some beings have found ways to cross dimensional barriers. Maybe at one time..these small ones lived here and because of our encroachmet..it was safer to return to their own roots permanently. We are a threat to most anything we meet. Most of those here are excited about and wonder about and hunt for all that is unusual or different. We're a small miniority. Out in the 'real' world..people are greedy and mean and would exploit anything like that that they found..be it alien, fairy or huge giant ape OR bigfoot. They're pretty smart to remain hidden in my opinion. I think I would too if I could sometimes.

Alien-like entity hovers over Spain - VIDEOBy Dirk Vander Ploeg - July 18, 2013 This is a very fairy like glowing orb that is moving through the neighborhood that was originally reported in June 2013. We can see several important things about it. For instance, it does not flap which tells us is not an insect or bird. Its mostly oval in shape, but its shape seems to change. Its also very curious about things. It comes close to several places landing on the house roof and almost on some branches. During this whole time never once did I see it flap any sort of wings. Very odd, but many glowing and non glowing orbs have been seen close up and reported this year. Often being baseball in size. If this is an alien orb, it looks more like an entity than a ship.
