Yep, that is correct. I haven't been able to talk Travis into coming here yet. We'll see what happens in the future though.

Another question that just popped into my head about the cars and trucks cutting off...I wonder if that is a byproduct of being close to the UFO or if it is done deliberately? I believe it is being close to the ufo.. I seen what one could do to my neighborhoods electricity. I stood right next to it and was not hurt .. but anything with power. fails.. Of the power on the pole was hit with the beam direct. . Maybe that is it. I have heard cases though that are not in any beam but just close and the car stalls. Most say it interfers with the car radio. I will have to ask my brothers friend if his car whom he had left on the road with his wife and kids in it to go into the field to check a ufo out hovering above the ground. He was getting close and his wife pressed down on the horn and she did not let up on it till he turned around and started back. I don't see him often . My brother and him are in their 80s now. still friends. He lived across the street from me where I had my encounter. but he never told me till a year ago. As I confronted him about what happen to me and how his walk light lamp post was knocked out. Dont you think it strange this happen to two neighbors about the same time. ?? His wife was so frantic, she may not remember anything about the car now..

That was pretty sneaky of them to force people to sign up there to read the responses. It sounds like Travis still hasn'tanswered them yet. Is he even going to? Maybe they just made the whole thing up?

Sunday night Travis was in Burbank, CA, doing a 2-hour segment on a radio show. And Monday he came to our home in the Hollywood Hills, spent the day and went to the Magic Castle with us for dinner before he left to return to Arizona on Tuesday the 30th of July. He's trying to get a producer to remake "Fire In The Sky"... and leave out all the Hollywood-hype that was put in the first one for dramatic affect. He has also released a 2nd edition of the original book, "Fire In The Sky," with some 20+ pages added to clarify some things which were left out of the first printing. While he was in Beachwood Canyon, he stopped in at our little market to pick up some water, and wouldn't you know it; one of the checkers recognized him and called him by name! I think Travis was both shocked and amused that someone who wasn't even born at the Time of Travis' experience, would be so enthralled with Travis' case, and recognize him immediately.
While Travis was here, we spoke very little about his abduction - partly because I have known him for several years and have heard him speak many times, and because my husband is NOT a believer; my husband says he thinks we're ALL delusional - even though he's never met any of my UFO/Paranormal friends he hasn't liked a whole lot. Every single one of them is welcome to come back whenever they're in town. So I think my husband just doesn't want to have to deal with something that's so far out of his comfort zone. Anyway, Travis enjoyed the respite from feeling that while he was with us, he had to reiterate his traumatic experience. And IF anyone at the Magic Castle recognized him, they didn't come up and ask him for an autograph.
He and I sat up and talked for a couple of hours after my husband went on to bed. But, again, it wasn't so much about UFO experiences. I was talking about my astral projections, and he was talking about some OBEs he had since being returned from the ship.
Many of you may not know this, but Travis is a very shy person who was thrust into an international spotlight he wouldn't have chosen for himself. He has a good sense of humor about many things, and is a devoted father to his 4 children and his grandchildren. He would have much preferred a life of obscurity, than the one he's been dealt. But this is the one he cannot escape. So he has no choice but to make the best of it.
BTW, he mentioned that wikipedia didn't even have his birthdate correct, and that there are other inconsistencies in it, too. I told him I think he should go in and correct them, but I don't know if he will take the time to do that. I didn't ask him for his exact birthdate, but I do know that he was born in February, 1953.
I don't know if this will clear up anything for some of you, but I (being a contactee, myself) DO trust that he's telling the truth. He believes that when he stood up to run back to the truck when the beam of light started to shoot down from the craft, he was hit by mistake and his heart stopped. He honestly believes the Beings on the craft had no choice but to take him up and try to save his life, which they did.
Also, according to Travis, NONE of them were on any drugs in the woods while they were chopping trees. He says that's how lumberjacks get killed - being reckless - and that while mistakes DO happen when a crew is out falling trees, the crew he was with was always very careful. And even so, sometimes accidents happened.
I think it's deplorable to slander someone by accusing him of using drugs because he's "blue collar worker." I've known Wall Street Traders and Record/Film producers & all their assistants, as well as entertainers who did cocaine nearly every day while on the job; I've never seen a "blue collar worker" who could afford that kind of habit, unless he was high up in Management. Travis rarely even drinks tea and coffee.
He's my friend, and of course I will defend him. I just happen to believe he's being as authentic and truthful as anyone else who has ever had an extraordinary experience... perhaps even more so, because of his upbringing. When people are raised in a town of less than 6,000 residents, especially back in the '60s and '70s, drugs weren't nearly as prevalent then as they have come to be, now.

It took many years for him to become trusting enough of me to know I didn't have a alternate agenda. I just genuinely liked him, from our first introduction, 10 years ago. Auntym, you just have to get out more! Keep up-to-date on what conferences are going on and where, and which speakers will be there. You can keep up with Travis' scheduled events here: www.travis-walton.com/Hopefully he'll eventually come to a location close enough that you (and others who are interested) can get to. I think most of you would actually LIKE him, if you got to know him.

Welcome to The Edge Of Reality bobbi ! I believe Travis 100%. I was "visited" in my home by 3 grays but as far as I know they didnt take me anywhere . After something like this happens, it changes a persons life and leaves them wondering about many things . I hope if Travis finds time, he will visit the forum , that would be an honor. Thank you for sharing this with us !!

Me too. Thanks for sharing that with us, Bobbi. Out of all of the abduction cases that I have read about the Travis Walton case is one that I think is one of the most convincing. It is hard to argue with 6 eye-witnesses who all tell the same story and whom all pass lie-detector tests. That kind of stuff is hard to fabricate, and even harder to maintain over the several decades that have passed since it happened. I would love to meet Travis someday also. Supposedly he might be coming to Texas some time in the next few months but I haven't been able to confirm it yet. If so I will definitely try to be there. That would be cool!

Well, I probably won't see him for a while, unless he comes back to Los Angeles for something. But I'll try to remember to say hello for you. And give him a hug, too.
One thing that I noticed while he was with us, his cell phone rang every 2-3 minutes or less, while it was on. And this went on up until 2 a.m. when he went down to the guest room to go to bed at night. The only peace he got was when he turned it all the way off. I couldn't live like that... It would drive me around the bend. Being famous isn't all the great things most of us think it is...

Thanks Bobbi. =)
My heart really goes out to him... that's why I want to hug him. I believe him and I believe that he told the truth about his encounter... I don't think I could live like that, being famous either... although I do have fantasies about being a rock star... ;D
...But that's different...

I know what you mean. Most famous people can't go anywhere without having a dozen people come up asking for autographs. I actually collect autographs but I never ask people for one when I meet them in public. I figure they could use a break.

I know what you mean. Most famous people can't go anywhere without having a dozen people come up asking for autographs. I actually collect autographs but I never ask people for one when I meet them in public. I figure they could use a break. I have a celebrity story. I ticked off Jodie Foster once. ;D I had recently moved to North Carolina to be with my ex fiance. I got a job at a gas station near our apartment... they hired me for the night shift. Basically: cleaning the coffee pots out, cleaning the counters, cleaning the shelves, stocking the shelves, sweeping the cigarette butts off the parking lot etc. I worked from 11pm to 7 am. One morning, about 10 minutes till 7, a woman came in with this really big stupid-looking man. The woman was about five foot 1 (I dunno maybe she was taller but I'm six feet tall so... she was shorter than average. Very short from my perception). The man was about six foot five and very sturdily built. They approached the counter. Another customer was browsing the aisles of the store. "How do I get the interstate?" the woman inquired of me. The man was holding a map in his hands. I thought she looked familiar but I wasn't sure who she was. "I dunno," I said, "I just moved here from Alaska and I walk to work. I don't drive. There's a map on the wall..." I pointed to a large map on the wall next to me. "If you wait until seven, my co-worker will be here and she can tell you... she lives here and drives here." The woman rolled her eyes at me and stomped over to the customer who was browsing the aisles of the store. She spoke to him for a few seconds, he was pointing and making gestures like he was giving her directions. The big stupid-looking man spread the map out on the counter in front of me and said, "...because we're here right now... and the map says..." "Look at me," I said to him. He looked down at me. "I don't know!" I said. "I can't help you!" He too rolled his eyes and went off to where the woman had gone. The customer finished giving her directions and both of them left. The customer was looking out the window with a spacy look in his eyes and watched them drive off. "That was Jodie Foster, wasn't it?" I asked him. "Yea..." he said, "I think so..."

When she's in town out here on the West Coast, she sometimes stops in and shoots some pool or has coffee at a little corner spot on Franklin and Tamarind Avenues in Hollywood. I've never seen that side of her... but then, I've never seen her that early in the morning in a town where she doesn't know her way around. Just chalk it up to being awake far too early and not knowing which way to go... And here is an announcement from Travis Walton. ANNOUNCEMENT! I have promised to let everyone know when my book FIRE IN THE SKY becomes available. Most realize that Hollywood did not stick to the real story. They wanted to get the book to find out the details of what really happened. But it was out of print all those years, while I received almost daily inquiries from all over the world asking where they could find a copy. People were selling their used copies online for outrageous amounts -- up to$200 to $300. But I have finished printing a newly updated edition. It has revisions and additional illustrations and 25 more pages of material. It is a 6X9 softcover, using a higher quality, whiter paper and a clearer fontand format. For now it's only available here. To order send a money order for $30 plus $5.95 shipping and handling for US orders. On U.S. orders of more than one book, the shipping and handling is FREE on the second book. In other words, shipping for a two book order is still only $5.95. Shipping and handling is $15 U.S. for Europe & Australia, $11 (US) for Canada & Mexico. Include a note saying to whom you wish it autographed (free) and mail to Travis Walton, PO Box 1072, Snowflake, AZ 85937. Check www.travis-walton.com for upcoming media coverage and personal appearances nearest you. You could save the shipping by buying it in person. Travis Walton I hope none of you mind that I've posted this here... I don't mean to break any protocols of the forum, but I thought some of you might be interested.
