That is very odd sky. Having trouble running- running being something you enjoy doing a lot.
Maybe you feel like there's something preventing you from doing what you love to do?

Interesting. No sooner did I post the dream where I said I always have trouble running in my dreams then I had a dream where I actually could run. Last night I dreamed I was walking through some city when this other guy challenged me to a footrace. Even though I was carrying a few things in my arms I said ok and we took off. I was ahead of the guy at first when he suddenly sprinted past me like I was hardly moving. I was about to give up and concede defeat when I suddenly decided that I was not going to let the guy beat me and I took off running even harder. The other guy got tired pretty quickly and slowed down and I blasted by him like a comet with legs. I quickly pulled away from him after that and when I was sure he had given up I slowed down because I was about to drop some of the stuff I was carrying. I think this is the first dream I remember having in a long time where I could actually run.

I had a weird dream a couple of nights ago. It was the night of the 24th, which was the same day that Shami told the story about her daughter having a dream about UFOs chasing after her and her calling on Jesus to save her. My dream just happened to be about UFOs chasing after me also. But let me tell about the dream first. Februray 25, 2014My best friend and I were packing up and getting ready to leave. We had heard that some UFOs were on there way towards our area and we were determined to get the heck out before they got there. They were supposedly abducting people and not bringing them back. We were filling a van full of camping equipment and everything we would need to live away from society for a long period of time. We were just about ready to leave when my friend suddenly remembered one last thing that he had forgotten to get. It was a piece of gear that was stored in an old VW van. I volunteered to run back and get it.
I opened the door on the van and reached inside to grab the thing when suddenly the van started rolling backwards a few feet. I was wondering why the van was moving when it reversed direction and rolled forwards instead and smashed right into a parked car! What the heck is going on, I wondered? I started to look around when suddenly the van floated up in the air and started spinning around in circles. It knocked me to the ground and as I looked around I realized that everything was bathed in a bright light and things were swirling around all over the place. The air was sparkling just like it did when I was first abducted back in 1988. That's when it dawned on me...the UFOs were here!
With sudden horror I realized that I was being pulled up off of the ground but instead of being paralyzed like I was in real life this time I could actually move. I grabbed onto a bunch of weeds that were growing up out of the ground and held on for dear life. Everything was floating and swirling around me and I kept being pulled upwards towards the UFO that was hovering over head. I started screaming, "No! Nooo! NOOOOooooooo!!!!!"
I looked over at my friend and saw that he was being pulled up into the sky also. We were both being taken again!!
That's when I remembered that there was a sword in the van close to me. I collect old weapons in real life so a sword isn't something that is all that unusual for me to have and I was determined to use it. I crawled over towards the van, reached inside and grabbed the sword and started lashing out in all directions while yelling "You're not going to take me! You will not take me!! YOU WILL NOT TAKE ME AGAIN!!"
Just then the light disappeared and I and everything else gradually floated back down to the ground. It was over...the UFOs were gone! That was when I woke up. The first thing that popped into my head was to wonder if I had a nosebleed and after turning on the light I realized that I did. That usually happens when I dream about UFOs or aliens or sharks. Still don't know why, but in this particular case I think I do know why I had the dream about the UFOs. I think it is because I had recently read about the dream that shami's daughter had. I think it is possible that maybe I was thinking about that dream and that subconsciously caused me to have a similar dream. At least that's what I'm hoping anyway. I still don't know why I would have a nosebleed though. It's just one of those things that make you say Hmmmmm.

Have you seen a doctor about the nosebleeds Sky ?

I broke my nose when I was a little dude. Used to have nosebleeds all the time...almost every day. Now I only get them a few times each month, usually the same time I have the nightmares. I'm sure a doc would just say they were caused by the broken nose. Maybe they are. Who knows?

I get that in the dream you remembered having been abducted with your friend before.
Is that also a memory of something that happened to you on a camping trip? I have forgotten the details of that (I've heard about sharks and noises outside the tent, but forgive me for forgetting a reported abduction.

A part of me wants to know, the other part doesn't. I've had problems all winter with my ears/sinuses. It's been off and on since I was young. I'm pretty sure whatever happened that night that something was inserted in my left nostril. Whatever "it" was doing, it did something in that area to gain access to my memory. I'm curious if by chance what you are experiencing with the nightmares associated with the nosebleeds is connected to what happened to you and your friend concerning them.

We weren't on a camping trip at the time though. We were both asleep in our apartment which was right across the street from the football stadium at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. A pretty busy place for an abduction but nobody else seemed to notice.

I'm curious if by chance what you are experiencing with the nightmares associated with the nosebleeds is connected to what happened to you and your friend concerning them. I'm certain the nightmares are...especially the ones about the sharks. I started having those right after the abduction took place. I'm still having them now over two decades later. Don't know why the nosebleeds happen along with the nightmares. That was something I only noticed a few years ago after Jo suggested I start a dream thread to keep track of when the dreams occurred. For a couple of years the nightmares and the nosebleeds would always occur during the full moon. Don't know what the moon had to do with anything. Lately it's kind of gotten away from the moon though. Now the nightmares just happen whenever they feel like it. I have always had a lot of sinus problems also and had to have surgery on them about 15 years ago. An X-ray showed there was a little round cyst in my right sinus cavity and the docs removed it. It wasn't metal or anything inorganic though. Don't know if it had anything to do with the abduction though. It could have been caused by the broken nose somehow. I dunno.

Last week I had several dreams. One was about snakes and another was about sharks. Those are the typical nightmares that I normally have and once again they all happened during the full moon. Still don't know what if anything that has to do with anything. I also had a weird dream that took place on the night after we tried our group experiment. I didn't see anything at all during the experiment and I don't know if the experiment had any influence on the dream or not. It was definitely weird though. March 15, 2014I dreamed that I was out in the middle of a barren desert. There were no plants or cactuses or anything at all...just rock and dirt. It looked kind of like something you would see in Death Valley. In fact, Death Valley might be a good description of what this dream was about because down below me was a deep valley or canyon and I was sitting at the top edge of it.
The weird thing about this dream is that I wasn't me. I was a bird. A silly looking grey penguin-like bird with short stubby wings that I could barely fly with. If I flapped like crazy I could keep my altitude but I couldn't go up hardly at all.
There were other animals there too. I don't remember what kind they were but they were coming after me with dinner on their minds. In a panic I flew off of the edge of the canyon and glided down a little ways. The animals came down also so I took off and went a little bit further down...then a little further...and a little further. It seemed like no matter how far down I went I couldn't stop them from chasing me so I kept on going until I got to the bottom.
On the bottom of the valley there were bones scattered all over the place. Some were whole skeletons while others were just random bones lying here and there. And that's when I realized that I had fallen into a trap. By going further and further down I had done exactly what the animals wanted me to do because once at the bottom I couldn't go anywhere else since I couldn't fly up. I knew they were going to get me...and that's when I woke up.
I have no idea why I would have such a silly dream like that. I don't think I have ever dreamed of myself as an animal before. And making myself a fat little penguin-type bird that can barely fly? What type of a crazy animal is that? If I'm gonna be an animal I should at least be an eagle or a triceratops or something...but a fat little no-flying bird? What's up with that? Like I said...weird.

Penquins fly very well underwater. Maybe its time that you learned shapeshifting in your dreams. Maybe a penquin in Death Valley is like a fish out of water. Outside its survival zone in spite of being well adapted to another reality.

I wouldn't even begin to know how to shape-shift in a dream. Usually I have no control over my dreams at all. Once in a while I do but not very often.

I had another wicked nightmare several nights ago. This one scared me more than usual for some reason although I'm not sure why because it wasn't really as bad as some of the others I've had. Naturally it was about sharks again. And naturally I've been having nosebleeds ever since. April 12, 2014I was in a little wooden boat with a small group of people out on the ocean. It was dark but we had some lights so we could see a little bit. We were rowing to this shallow spot where we were supposed to meet somebody...a woman. I got the feeling in the dream that she might have been my girlfriend but I'm not totally sure. I just know that in the dream we always met out at that one place which was about halfway between where we both lived.
When I and my fellow boatsmen got to the spot she was nowhere in sight. The current was pretty strong and it kept trying to tow us away so I got out and stood in the water to hold the boat in place. There were sharks in the ocean but the place I was standing was only a few inches deep so I wasn't too worried. They couldn't get me there. There was deeper water all around though.
We waited and waited but there was no sign of her and the water was starting to rise with the tide. If we waited too long I wouldn't be able to stand in the ocean because the sharks would get me...but I didn't want to leave without her.
After a while it became clear that she wasn't coming and we could all guess why. The sharks must have gotten her. They were very dangerous in that part of the ocean, especially when the water was deep. The other people wanted to head back in to shore but I stood there in the dark, rising water hoping and praying that she would show up. She never did.
Finally the water got too deep to stand in and I had to get back in the boat. We started rowing back through the darkness towards shore...but we never made it. The sharks were waiting...
I woke up from this dream shivering which isn't all that unusual after a nightmare but usually it goes away very quickly once I realize where I am. Sharks can't get me in real life when I'm in a nice warm bed on dry land far from any open water. This time I couldn't stop shaking though. I stayed awake the rest of the night just trying to warm myself up. I even turned the heater up and it wasn't even that cold out. I don't know why this particular dream bothered me so much. Like I said, I have had some that were a lot worse than that one. It just did for some reason.

That's a strong dream Skywalker. Someone/some aspect of yourself or an answer you are seeking is calling you. I have strong vague pictures of my own arising from your dream that probably have NOTHING to do why you dreamed this. However the small boat seems equivilent to a skimmer/little runabout sky ship - the currents and sharks seem to come from farther and deeper out. Steve and others have suggested to us that there are more than one version of Visitors. Maybe your "sharks" are a more predacious or unempathetic variety. Perhaps your heart is being tested - that you waited and hoped and prayed. I hope the woman reappears (uneaten) and gives you some encouragement or a magical gift...
PS. In shamanistic dreams and visions, the seekers are often completely killed and reduced to bones - which they then re-animate. I once had a dream like that and it lasted for weeks - almost more intense that my everyday world. Big changes were about to unfold for me...

I don't know what those little gray space pirates did to me but it must not have been very nice if I am still having nightmares after all these decades. I just wish they would stop so I can get some sleep for a change.

I've been having a lot of bad dreams lately. This past month has been full of them, even more so than usual. They were really picking up right around the time of the full moon, as usual, and I had some pretty bad nosebleeds then too. I haven't been writing them down like I normally do because I've been kind of busy lately with work and trying to fix this stupid computer and stuff like that. They are pretty much the same type of dreams that I usually have though. One was about a bunch of tiny little hairy tarantula-type spiders that were crawling all over the place and trying to bite me. I don't think any of them succeeded but it's not because they didn't try. I woke up right as one was about to put the chomps on my leg. There have also been several shark dreams. The worst one involved two of my friends and seemed to take place at a lake in what appeared to be Missouri from the looks of the scenery. One of my friends just recently moved up there. In the dream my best friend was thinking about going swimming in the lake and his sister (the one who just moved) was trying to talk him out of it. As they were arguing about it I walked down closer to the water to get a better look at what was inside. (stupid me) As I got close to the shore I saw something lying at the edge of the water and went to get a closer look. It turned out to be some type of a weird-looking saw fish whose head was kind of round like a saw blade. It didn't look like any real creature that I have ever seen in real life but it was dead and on the beach in the dream. As I was looking at it I saw something zip by me in the water and could barely make out the shape of what appeared to be a small light-colored shark. There weren't supposed to be any sharks there because it was a fresh water lake but it sure looked like one to me. Maybe that's why my friend's sister did not want him going swimming there. I decided to go down even closer to the water (stupid me again ) to try to get a better look when all of a sudden this huuuuuuge great white shark came leaping up and tried to put the chomps on me. I took off running as fast as I could trying to get back up the small cliffs that lined the shore with that darned shark chasing me the whole way. It was leaping up almost completely out of the water and it's monster-sized jaws were snapping just a few inches away from me. Finally I woke up. I realized right away that it was just a dream and I kept telling myself that but they don't seem like dreams when I'm having them. It took me a very long time to go back to sleep after that one. I had another dream last night but can't remember what it was about, which might actually be a good thing. I don't need anymore stupid dreams like that last one. Hopefully tonight I might actually get some sleep.

Now in addition to the nightmares I keep finding small cuts on my arm. It's happened three times this past week. Always on the right forearm and they are always fresh when I wake up in the morning. Have no idea what's causing them. I'll add it to my collection of weird stuffs.

Yep. As you said, decades. Funny, though. I've swam in the ocean many times (near the beach only) and I don't think about sharks there the way I do here, swimming in the murky lake waters of Missouri. It is said that sharks attack in basically shallow water, and there has been stories of fresh water sharks, that aren't just urban legends. Sorry! the movie Piranha? Creepy but why wouldn't you get out of the water on the first nibble?? I got nibbled by a fish in a beautiful, man-made residential area, recreational lake, as a kid, and I was not swimming any more that day! Lol. And the filth. A child recently died here after contracting some amoeba in a people-friendly lake. Still better than a shark attack, or a gator. Shiverrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Why did your friend move to Missouri? She should be expecting some bad dreams soon. I don't care how much you say you're "used to it". Some dreams are so disturbing that we can't just leave them in the bedroom.

My friend moved to Missouri because her husband's company transferred him there. He has a really good job and makes about a zillion times as much money as I do. Why would she be getting bad dreams? Is Missouri haunted or something? I woke up with another fresh cut on my arm this morning. This one is on the back of my right hand. That's four times in the past week. I don't see anything around the bed that could be causing it. Weird.
