I didn't like Paul (and I really did watch it)...sowwy guys..but greys just are not cute or witty and jokes about anal probes..really aren't so funny. Just one person's perspective To an extent..it actually bothers me that the next time someone is abducted and experimented on ..the trip will be worse because they expected something cute Guess I just over thought that one

Sorry Jo I really liked the movie because its quite far removed from reality. The aliens my son and I saw actually looked quite different from Paul tho they were short in stature & had faces so bizarre its difficult to describe them. I had to let go the trauma to enjoy the movie then its really hilarious. I do plan to rent the movie soon to watch it again. Rex

Oh..no problem at all..I do understand how people would find the movie funny..my experiences were just very bad ones. It does cause me some concern that people will try to put human wit and characteristics on real 'visitors' and in the process be confused and more frightened when they behave so very unlike us. We are raised to perceive people a certain way..their upbringing was not from around here ;D Compared to us..a dog views life with a more direct simplicity..food/love/hurt/run like heck...comparatively speaking there may be the same gap in relation to them..I'd give them that much of an excuse for abductions I just wish 'my' visitors would have been Paul's people

I have seen the movie previews of 'Paul' long ago, and find it amusing. But in relation to Jokelly's firm sentiments about 'grays' I am sympathetic, and about 'Grays' themselves...ambivalent. There coexists within me positive and negative simultaneous views. This partly from the wide spectrum of experiences related about them, and part a wish to be as objective in any investigation to simply collect data and not let what someone might relate taint one's perspective. I have not seen 'The Fourth kind' either, only the film's previews too. What I see already shows it rips-off the truth about hypnosis regressions related to abduction experiences. Having been present during a number of regressions...you might find it anti-climatic by comparison, but far more fascinating than any film. If anything, it really reveals the artistic shortcomings of the filmmakers in failing to see the scope of the very deep waters these regressions explore. If I ever do see these films, it might be only to counteract any damage those films might ensue on the public perceptions about abduction investigation and research. Then again there is still the difficulty in comprehending that reality experiencers relate. A reality the experiencers even admit is difficult to grasp understandably. You feel for them compassionately while holding on to some notion of dispassionate objectivity. There is this political correctness view that Grays be 'humanized' and be incorporated into that idyllic mis-reality. It reminds me of the scene in the 1953 George Pal film 'War of the World's' where the well intended Episcopal Priest thinks that if aliens "are that advanced, then they must be then that much closer to the creator" too. Not! We are not that sure of our facts yet. Hollywood humanizes 'Paul' in current sad fashion by making him as socially 'crude' as some humans are too I suppose. I notice often experiencers in mentally processing through their abductions, they clearly subtly change their descriptions of the aliens they allegedly meet. The words they use to describe them change. It is so important to record & transcribe the hypnotic sessions to capture early their raw descriptions and impressions. It clearly reveals in comparing successive follow on sessions no confabulation, but clearly a coping mechanism is in play. They initially describe beings typically as that 'it'. then later a 'thing', then a 'being', then that 'strange little man'. I think proclamations by some in the UFO community there are amusingly 52 kinds of aliens out ere is almost laughable. Why 52? Why not 10? Or 100? Another perspective might be an infinite number, we just have not met them all yet.... It might be some of this could be the result of where along the path in coping a researcher might ask an experiencer to describe their alien in the coping process of themselves psychologically dealing with their abduction experience. I look at the fascinating article about someday science being able to read thoughts and dreams, past memories. theedgeofreality.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=science&thread=1400&page=1What would an abductee's memories of their abductions reveal to us? I noticed the video image, and the compared mental image. A almost blurred vague impression. Not surprisingly like a impressionist painting. Should the alien gray image in an abductee's memory be just as real as the Steve Martin test video image is...are the collective impressions of the Grays in recall a blurred generic impression as well? Steve

You know Steve..it would be interesting to see what the brain really 'saw' during an abduction before it defines what we can handle and alters the reality to protect..and I am very sure it does that. There is too broad a spectrum between one abductee's version and the next. Clumsily I'm trying to say that 'they' probably are not changing their methods..that we are probably providing the variety (or our minds are). If I could just impart one thing to the world regarding any 'visitors' to this planet..it would simply be exactly what you have been saying. Shaped by many other circumstances of birth/genetics/environment..they are NOT us. Reminds me of my kids hitting their teens..those hormones turned them absolutely alien and new ways had to be found to reach them.

No, these quotes weren't in the movie. They are being posted on Twitter by somebody who calls himself Paul the Alien. I don't know if he has any official connection to the movie or not. Auntym might know. She's in charge of the Twitter thingy.

She's in charge of the Twitter thingy. this is paul the alien's official website from twitter.... www.whatispaul.com/i believe the paul tweeting is SETH ROGAN, who played paul in the movies.... buts thats only my guess..... it could also be one of the writers who created 'PAUL' .... its definitely not someone stealing the name & passing themselves off as 'PAUL' .... there would be hugh lawsuits if that were the case.... i've also heard talk of a sequel.... whoever it is, is definitely connected to the movie.....i'm betting its SETH ROGAN... LOL

I finally found Paul on DVD and I am in the process of watching it. I just noticed that when the two dudes were planning out their great cross-country UFO hot spot road trip they were going to start at Area 51 and end at Roswell, NM. In between they said they were going to stop at Camp Verde and Apache Junction. What happened at Camp Verde and Apache Junction to make them to of the most famous UFO hotspots? I don't think I have ever heard of either of them. Did I miss something?

I had no idea what a steampunk was so I had to look it up in my favorite research site...Wikipedia. This is what they said... Steampunk From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steampunk A steampunk-themed photoSteampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction, fantasy, alternate history, and speculative fiction that came into prominence during the 1980s and early 1990s. Steampunk involves a setting where steam power is still widely used—usually Victorian era Britain or "Wild West"-era United States—that incorporates elements of either science fiction or fantasy. Works of steampunk often feature anachronistic technology, or futuristic innovations as Victorians might have envisioned them, based on a Victorian perspective on fashion, culture, architectural style, art, etc. This technology includes such fictional machines as those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne, or the contemporary authors Philip Pullman, Scott Westerfeld and China Mieville.
Other examples of steampunk contain alternative history-style presentations of such technology as lighter-than-air airships, analog computers, or such digital mechanical computers as Charles Babbage and Ada Lovelace's Analytical engine.
